Britain's Zulu War (3 Viewers)

We NEED 17th lancers Mike............not carbineers. :p

Me thinks we need them both and pronto :D. Anything not wearing a red coat. For variation.

Hopefully we will see some new gloss as well. I keep saying this from time to time in the matte forum but it has to be said.

I agree with you 100% there hasn't been much released in the gloss line up.

Hopefully the spring catalog won't be a letdown for the glossy collectors.

Titus: This was the response from Modelzone.

Greetings

From time to time, items are removed from our website due to there being no stock and no date set for a restock.

Mmm. Not much of a response is it. I specifically asked about Melvill. Ah, we'll probably see it pop up sooner or later.

Thanks for posting. :)

Its nice they dont respond to what you are specifically asking about thats poor service I think. We'll just have to see I guess.

Knowing from a number of your post featuring your mounted figures Scott along with the the appeal the 17th Lancers along with others I unstand your wanting the Lancers to make an early appearance but I do hope that Richard and Ken will continue to focus on the remaining heros of the Drift both the VC and DCM winners along with the members of the Natal Native Contingent , Army Medical Corps, Commissary Staff, Army Service Corps, Royal Artillery along with a few Sergeants including Colour_Sergeants Bourne and Maybin, Coporals proving us with the figures to defend the Drift as well as being able to feature them taking part in the fighting at Isandlwana and from there adding to the series figures from the various units both mounted and unmounther that took part in the fighting at Isandlwana and movin on from there. But once again I've a hunch the 17th Lancers will make an appearance long before the above is accomplished......The Lt.

Yes I do quite agree with you LT. I sometimes get ahead of myself :D I am looking forward to filling in the ranks at Rorkes Drift.

I certainly hope so. Imho they should keep things interesting for all collectors and throw in the occasional (gatling)gun or mounted figure. And don't forget good characters like Chelmsford with staff, Durnford etc.

In matte and gloss as far as I'm concerned.

Does anyone know where the MZ exclusive Melvill figure is? It's gone from the MZ site?? You're not gonna tell me he is pre-sold out. That would be a major letdown.

edit; I emailed Modelzone about it.

Not being familiar with Model Zone, based on this thread and out of curiosity, I checked out their web site which was very nice. Ended up ordering WB #20025 which is a MZ exclusive of a British 24th Foot defending against a Zulu warrior w/mealie bag wall - similar to 20028, 20029, & 20030. Order has been confirmed by MZ and I have already received a shippniog notice with tracking #. I have also contacted WB and amended my Club Membership order and have ordered the 24th Foot Wounded soldier club exclusive. I really appreciate the lead on MZ - a great forum benefit.

I know a couple of members have picked up that set Mike. You should know it is all one piece unlike the new hand to hand sets. Looking forward to seeing your new collection :)
