Britain's Zulu War (2 Viewers)

Not being familiar with Model Zone, based on this thread and out of curiosity, I checked out their web site which was very nice. Ended up ordering WB #20025 which is a MZ exclusive of a British 24th Foot defending against a Zulu warrior w/mealie bag wall - similar to 20028, 20029, & 20030. Order has been confirmed by MZ and I have already received a shippniog notice with tracking #. I have also contacted WB and amended my Club Membership order and have ordered the 24th Foot Wounded soldier club exclusive. I really appreciate the lead on MZ - a great forum benefit.

It is a nice set Mike, I've got one.

I am lucky, I have a Modelzone store in the next town to me, about 7 miles away.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Are you going to get the Melvill figure when it is released Martyn?

I will Scott.

I rang the store in Guildford yesterday to find out any info on the Melvill figure but they knew as much as I did. The figure looks like it is off their system until nearer the release date

I'll update when I get some more info

Cheers

Thanks Martyn, I think I may also be getting this one as well.

A meager beginning too say the least, but I believe its a good start :). These items were delivered this evening by UPS and I am really very pleased with them. The pictures don't do them justice. I know these pictures don't show anything new to most of you collectors - I beg your patience for my exuberance and glee :D

Did any forum members happen to watch the History Channel last night about the Zulu warriors, their training, weapons, tactics, etc. It was a very interesting program. Also - I just finished watching the movie Zulu. I have owned a DVD copy of it for several years but haven't watched it in a long time. Its always been a favorite movie of mine but with my new intertest in collecting WB Zulu War figures it seemed more exciting to me today than ever before. Released in 1964 (I was just sweet 16) and was Michael Cain's first movie - a delightful afternoon watch.
