Since Mitch threw his Action Man at me and I stamped on his Steve Austin figure I've not been able to answer his threads so here is my answer.

I hope not!

Its all Psychological I'm sure but I like a bit of heft in my AFV's. As a kid I made all sorts of Airfix and then Tamiya kits and loved collecting them. Then when I later started on K&C I just got used to heavier AFV's and like the heavier feel. Mitch's post is obviously referencing K&C and the fact that some of its collectors don't like the lighter weight of FL 's vehicles. I freely admit when I first picked up a FL tank I was shocked as it felt like plastic (yes I know now its NOT before all sorts of ****e gets written:rolleyes2:) so I didn't buy. However if FL made a British Tank, or Figarti or K&C made a lighter Tank I cannot say no definitely I would not, who knows. But overall I hope Polystone remains the main component of my vehicles.

Rob my big pet hate about polystone is there no strength in the stuff after seeing my KC Mickey Mouse ambulance fall on the flour and break like a china cup made me see things in a different light I'm sorry to say

Try dropping an AFV made from a different resin. Unless it is a very soft and resiliant compound (probably not suitable to make models other than childrens' toys), they will break when they hit a hard surface. Unless you actually test them, there is no telling which resin used by K&C, CS, FL, TGM, JJD or Britains is less brittle or even if their brittleness is much different.

Rob,
I am in the same boat as you regarding slamming around each others action figures so I will comment here too.
I would agree with you that armored vehicle models having some weight to them is a plus, giving them a sort of authentic "feel" so to speak. Trimming down some heft would be acceptable to many I would assume including myself. King&Country puts out more product each month than several of the other top makers combined.
With that it seems the more that is made, the more people ask for and want. The more that is made, the more criticism developes based upon the vast array of figures and vehicles to choose from. A bit lighter weight vehicle would mean less mass weight on display shelves and cheaper shipping costs for all involved. I have been collecting K&C since 2007 and to me have seen nothing but improvements year after year across the board with their line of products. If mixed media products are the coming trend so be it.

Hi Terry agree the problem not just down to KC on that point of strength , with the rising cost of postage to me like Brad as said the fill of heavy tank does not interest me and is not a big selling point but detail is but everyone to there own

Have any of you ever straightened out bent Polystone??{eek3} I did it once when my cat sent my lovely HB Winter Panther crashing from its shelf. Its nervevracking but can be done!

Forget straightening out the tank - its the cat that needs straightening out! Knowing cats as I do, don't kid yourself that it was an accident. It saw what you loved and then went for it.

What i meant was that it was easy to bend back but wss nerve racking as it felt like it might go at any second.

Yup, risky move trying to bend back any toy soldier no matter who the manufacturer is.
