Not much on the slate for this weekend.

Alabama 37 Texas A&M 13 - I've learned my lesson picking against Nick Satan and Lame Kiffin. Just too much talent. At home they should be unbeatable.

Interesting. I am worried about A&M. I have only seen highlights of their play, but I gotta bad feeling about this game!

I won't be able to watch it, but will record it.

Good weekend for the locals as UMd broke a 2 game skid by beating MSU and running their record to 5-2. The #24 USNA passed another tough test, beating Memphis 42-28, rushing for 447 yards, and getting their record to 5-1. -- Al

Michigan St is a team like ND, Oregon and now Stanford that has completely collapsed. A good win though. Penn St. pulled the upset of the weekend beating Ohio St. That likely just saves the Buckeyes from a Bama beatdown in the playoffs. The Tide look unstoppable.

A great game, PSU wins on a blocked FG attempt that gets run back for a TD..........OSU still has a shot at the playoffs if the beat Michigan.

The Tide looks unbeatable, unreal what Saban has done there, what a machine he's built.

Stanford lost to Colorado 10-5. When I saw that score I thought that college baseball had started.

Stanford is back to their old ways of being terrible at football. Thank goodness for U.S. News & World Report's academic rankings.

Hard to figure out what is going on there. They looked good to start the season but are in a real funk. They are built around physical, no mistake football. That comes apart with penalties and falling behind in games. Once Stanford gets behind they are "as doomed as doomed can be" with their 1920s offense. If they get out ahead it's a different story because they can grind it out and control the clock. Shaw looks like a genuis when it is working and an incompetent when it is not. When coaches start staring at that plastic Denny's menu it is all over. Lame Kiffin does that all the time.

They're using the menu to build their own Grand Slam breakfast! So many choices...do you know how hard it is to decide between bacon and sausage??

Good win for Northwestern on Saturday. After going 0-2 with no offense to speak of they are now 4-3...with a date against THE Ohio State coming up. Good thing OSU lost on Saturday so they'll be complacent...oh wait...

Guess I didn't need to be worried.

Cal has possibly the worst defense that I have ever seen. SC had over 600 yards in offense against them last night and could have run up close to a thousand except for penalties and turnovers. How they were 4-3 is some kind of anomaly.

True to their creed, Navy never gave up in tonight's 52-45 loss to USF. Navy got blown out in the 1st quarter, trailing 28-0 at the end of it. But they came back and made a game of it with 24 points in the 4th quarter. Tough loss but Navy has a lot of character. -- Al

The football program at Navy is truly amazing when one considers the recruiting restraints that they face. And while they might not win every game, you can bet that you are going to get an all out effort from the players and coaching staff on each snap of the ball.

Bad weekend for the locals as the USNA lost last night and the Terps of UMd got run-over by Indiana. Terps defense was disgraceful and coupled with their Qb looking terrible, it was almost a sure bet they would lose. UMd scored a garbage time TD to make the final 42-36, Indiana. Terps yielded over 400 yards rushing and 650 yards overall. Just disgraceful. -- Al

A (rare) good 2016 college football weekend for me, Stanford won and Texas got a huge win against 8th ranked Baylor.

FSU Clemson game really boiled my oil. Look, end of day, Clemson won ,but that was a terrible terrible, I could say 100 times terrible call that FSU received in the 4th qtr on huge run that could have blown the game open. Fisher ended up with 20K in fines, but he was right, that call hurt big time, had other chances to win the game, but that call killed momentum. It is a shame how many games are influenced by bad calls.

TD

Good weekend for me. My Trojans stomped the commies from Kal and then UW beat Colorado putting SC back into the mix in the PAC South. SC looks amazingly good against bad teams. Not so great against the likes of Alabama. LOL.

The only good thing is that the $20k fine goes to the general scholarship fund.

At least the NCAA got something right.

Nice win by Navy. That option offense is maddening to defend. I think ND had only six possessions in the entire game. On the upside another job or two will shortly be added to the economy when the Irish clean house.

Navy did indeed come away with a nice win, but their defense is really leaky. If ND had opted to go for the 1st down instead of taking the FG (making the score 28-27, Navy), they wouldn't have given the ball back to Navy and that time-killing offense of theirs. Navy took the ball after the FG and ran off the last 8 minutes of the game, this after their previous TD drive of 9 minutes. Navy's best defense is keeping the ball out of the opponents hands. Navy has a hard time preventing other teams from scoring, yielding 26 PPG. But a win is a win and the Middies are now 6-2. -- Al

On the other hand, my UMd Terps didn't quite as well against Michigan.:rolleyes2: I'll settle for a 1-1 weekend. {sm3} -- Al

Good weekend for me, two weeks in a row. Stanford and Texas both won and got win closer to being bowl eligible.
