Sometimes staying at home can have some unexpected positives. An amazing sunset out front of my home this afternoon. I tried to post a video of it earlier but it wouldn't load.

Looks like you're going to have great weather tomorrow as the old saying goes, Red sky at night Sherpherds delight !

Steve

You live on Mars?Everything's red.^&grin
Mark
Yes it can get almost Red sometimes, I took some nice Sunset pics in summer when the Bush Fires were occurring. Some Sunsets here can look Purple when the sinks lower and there are storms around.
That is just stunning, Matt!:salute::
Nature sure can put on a show, sometimes the air is so still in the mornings the water acts like a perfect mirror reflecting the houses and boats etc, looks like a painting.

This is just mind blowing. Trying to explain to my young kids what’s going on and how to stay alive and well. As a first responder and at risk diabetic this scares the crap outta me. But what chaps my bum is these tools that won’t wear a mask. Just do it. It saves lives. As for the stay at home as much as its stinks people here are spoiled. Imagine being stuck at home for years because of the Blitz. I remember while serving in the Military traveling to England and speaking with vets and survivors and what they endured.

We live in a selfish society, it’s just that simple. The idea of sacrifice for the greater good is a thing of the past. A haircut is more important now then making sure your grandmother lives through this.

I agree so true. Pretty sad as well.

We sure do.

The average American has no clue what people in other countries have gone through between wars, natural disasters and pandemics.

Look no further than the panic that ensued about two months ago when people stampeded into stores and wiped the shelves clean of toilet paper, canned goods, soap, hand sanitizer, meat, frozen food and bottled water.

It's one thing to stock up; hording and shoving someone out of the way so you get the last two rolls of toilet paper when you already have 400 at home sickens and disgusts me.

Hooray for me and **** everyone else, what a terrible attitude.

Reminds me of the story the daughter of a friend of my Dads' told at his funeral. The daughter had a
baby with a condition that required a certain type of baby formula, she ran out and went looking late one night and could not find it, she called my Dad's friend in a panic and he said don't worry, I'll come meet you and we'll find it. Two or three stores later, they found it, about 18 cans on the shelf, she loaded them all into a carriage and my Dad's friend said "Wait; why don't you leave some cans behind in case someone else like you is out and is looking for some"...………………….

She told that story 30 years ago and it's stayed with me to this day.

Think of your fellow man, not just you and yes, the dorks who refuse to wear a mask annoy me to no end; this thing is airborne, you can have it and not even know it and be spreading it all over the place.

Put a mask on, it's not some huge inconvenience, but people still refuse...…………….boggles my mind.

George...

well...$431 later...{eek3}....

they showed me an x-ray of this 5" bone stuck in my dog's stomach...my dog only weighs 20.6 lbs...he's very small...they said it would take about a month to dissolve from his stomach acid...hopefully not blocking his intestines to pass his food...Boo is 14 years old...they recommended no surgery as he probably wouldn't survive it...he seems okay...eating good...having good bowel movements...active...just keeping an eye on him...

he usually takes the rib eye bone over to the corner of the room and strips the meat off it...when he tires of it...I pick it up and throw it away...he loves those bones...

I have let me chew on dozens of rib eye bones cause the bone is so darn big I never imagined his little *** could swallow one...it still doesn't seem believable to me...but I saw the x-ray...

it was an expensive rib eye...new rule...no more bones!

As a schnauzer fan I have to say I'm glad he made it. 14 is older than any I have known have made it, and I've known dozens (had 3 so far and Dad had 3 before). We're not feeding this one bones either. Too many choking panics.
Anyway stay safe and remember Schnuazers are expensive but worth it!

Poster seen the other day that amused me: Pot shops are open and barber shops are cloed: the hippies have finally won!

Yes and they have to let the criminals out of jail so they will have room to put all the small business owners and church goers in them.what a ***-backwards screwed up country this is right now.

Only 1,050 cases in home state of Queensland and 6 deaths (all elderly and mainly cruise or overseas travel related).

Had an interesting discussion with my step son and his wife yesterday. Both educated in the Phillipines. Despite very extensive work and social networks they do not know anybody who has had the virus in Oz. However they know three people in NY who have died. Two were the parents, early 60's, of one of their Uni classmates who they have previously stayed with on two previous trips. The classmate daughter was a health worker who caught the virus and then her husband and parents both caught it. Both parents died. The other was also parent of a friend.

The man giving the haircut may have to use that money to feed and shelter his wife and kids.Is that selfish. As far as the masks after 15-20 minutes are worthless.I love that the ones hollering about people wanting to go back to work have money or an income coming in.Lets see them bank accounts empty and watch those tunes change. You want to be a sheep and believe everything fed to you go ahead but I won't.Many people have died for the ideals this country stands for but I can see the present generation wouldn't,not the vast majority anyway.I think the lockdown will show it's one of the biggest mistakes in history.

Totally agree Mark. Unless you're actually wearing an N95 grade face mask you're completely wasting your time wearing one if the sole purpose is to stop being affected by Covid 19.

In saying that if wearing a mask makes you feel safer by all means wear one, but anything less than a N95 is a waste of time. Don't take my word for it research it yourself.

Your immunity system works by being exposed to bugs like virus etc, you hide yourself away from society and restrict your contact with people and places and then suddenly emerge after weeks of lockdown and boom your immunity suddenly get smashed, hence the second wave...…..

Again don't take my word for it, Google your immunity system and how it works.

Hiding away isn't the answer.

And death isn’t the answer either. I’ll take the minor temporary inconvenience then taking a permanent dirt nap.
