This figure is cool 😎 looking and will go well in any Saxon display. Certainly on my list of must haves.

The 5th VA. Was part of the famous Stonewall Brigade which also included the 2nd, 4th, 27th, 33rd Inf Regmts as well as the Rockbridge Artillery battery. At 1st Bull Run, the 5th suffered 6 KIA's and 47 WIA's. The 5th was used to reinforce Hampton's Legion on Henry Hill and was actively engaged in trying to capture the Federal artillery battery (Rickets) that was on the reverse slope of the hill near the Henry house. The 5th and Hampton's Legion were pitted against the 13th NY and the 2nd WI which were part of Sherman's Brigade.

Hoping this opens the possibility of a mounted figure of WT Sherman sometime in the future. Highly overdue in the toy soldier world.

Would also welcome seeing the 2nd Wisconsin. They were probably wearing state issued grey uniforms at the time, but all the same, can never have enough Iron Brigade. :wink2:

I agree! I'd love to see any American Civil War release from John! He is kicking it out of the park with the Manassas range so I hope he keeps going with the entire theme down the road. Never been this excited as a toy soldier collector before! :D

Oh my! Another Stonewall Bgde Regt! I foresee another busy yr collecting ACW. :smile2: :salute:: Chris

Last thing in my mind was collecting a Anglo-Maratha War range... but these JJD miniatures take you to places you did not know you wanted to go!
AMAZING!

My sentiments exactly! When collectors see the unique and colorful uniforms and regiments they will be enticed to jump in.

Wellington in India, Wellington in Spain and Wellington at Waterloo.....a great Trilogy for collectors!

I agree, I collect Napoleonic's, but this new range will be a new serious consideration for me. John is really pushing his ranges, I did not collect Jenkins until quite recently, starting with the Roman enemies and then Aztecs, just started the Viking & Saxons, now i think it will also be the Anglo-Maratha War range.

Wow, I am already complete collecting 1066, Conquest of Mexico, Punic war, and the Conquest of Gaul, there are only so many ranges I can collect. I guess I will have to make a choice between El Cid and Wellington in India and it is not going to be easy
