Dispatches is up! (1 Viewer)

g18....

Just think when they come mate you will be more than ready to collect them all and multiples with this temporary lull. I am sure you will be inundated in the very near future
Mitch

Still no Naps & Crusades after a few dispatches :(... my bank account balance remains pristine :D

Rob...

Fair exchange is no robbery. A new Tiger for an i-phone sounds a great compromise.
Mitch

So compromise is the key to a great marriage...and a great AFV collection;)

I know...3 weeks is a long time when I can't slow this salivation response I am experiencing!:p I will try to keep myself hydrated until then.

I've heard it and seen it many times, but I feel compelled to sat it again....this has got to be the golden age of collecting.

I hope the forthcoming Tiger is a special SL, as you have suggested Mitch. I also get the feeling that OTSN 2010 is going to be one of the best, if not the best OTSN on record. So many unveilings to look forward to. Attendees, please bring your cameras if you can:). But most of all, have fun!!!!!

Joe

Rob...

I meant to say late war in my last post. Looks like an SL to end the year of the Tiger indeed may well be a special tiger. Although now we have to wait three weeks!!!!!

Oh, I'm willing to pay for it if you are up to it. I''d better order two. I have
the ambulance jeep to cannalibize, but will try to get another one and the
stretcher bearer set. I only do "Medic" so I'll save on all the tanks I don't
buy.:) I see a fantastic diorama John Rosengrant style in the making. I seem
to remember a winter Aid Station tent also. Now to find that again.
And anything else that can be modified. I'll make a list.
Let's keep in touch.

If you find a winter 1st aid station tent, please let me know.I saw a tent in the catalogue of JG miniatures.(don't know if it is suitable)
Your absolutely right? it would be perfect if the back doors of the ambulace would open so that we could organise the inside of this nice truck.(Are you sure it is hollow inside? if so, then it will be fairly easy to open up this Dodge ambulance).

Mitch mate, I will never be ready.

The opening volley from Naps will seriously undermine months of prudent finances and then the Crusades will deliver the coup de grace. Mixed feelings...

Hey bearybones,

We would not want to call an end to all this, would we?

We want to be around for many more releases! :D:cool:

For comparison, this is much better from the gitgo. Notice the
price also. A lot more bang for your buck.

Nice indeed but my much larger & hefty K & C AFV's might accidentally crush this smaller model:p;). All kidding aside, it sure appears to be an amazing model. I really like the weathered paint; it is very well done. However, in the end, I prefer the "personality" of AFV's made by the "big three" and perhaps more importantly, the individual teams behind them as well as the people who comprise their sales networks. So in actuality, you get much more than a model considering these "intangibles". But thanks for the pics!

Hi Guys,Just looked up the e-bay link for the 1:35 WWII ambulance......VERY NICE....1:35 scale models done by a talented model builder will "almost always" have better detail and weathering then K/C or Figarti or CS....They are to be admired... not overly handled as are "any" manufacturers military miniatures....For me plastic is not an issue but the 1:35 scale is a problem with figures....1:35 is 1:35.... My only problem with plastic is the durability factor. They can sure be built to a terrific degree of detail but they just don't have the weight to withstand the bumps and accidents that they will encounter over the years. Even the benign activity of dusting can be disasterous. Depending on the adhesive used, plastic has a finite shelf life, too. I just like the heft and durability of the current polystone in use. Polystone tanks (or whatever vehicle, plane, etc.) tend to stay where you put them. Floor vibrations can cause creep with plastic. I just think the weight is a definite advantage for polystone. -- Al

Do be fair if you drop a Polystone tank on the floor bit will still brake off so I would not say it any more durable & weight for me mean paying more for shipping

Maybe its just me, but I wouldn't put a plastic model in my Polystone collection,it just doesn't belong there. I personally think plastic kits, although great fun to build, are an inferior product and belong in a collection of their own.Its apples and Oranges to me, and although I could probably do a reasonable job on the model it still wouldn't belong there. Just my view though as I say.
