Spain's control over this game was so total that it became really boring (fortunately I did recently watch really exciting stuff, not the Spain V. France sleeping pill but the terrific NBA final game, Miami Heat v. Oklahoma City Thunder, now that's something else and I wouldn't trade those 48 minutes for any Euro 2012 90 minutes^&grin).
Back to soccer, Spain just don't give the ball to the other team. Their quality is superb, they are a study in passing, timing, control, simplicity. The French almost never had the ball, so how could they attack? A very lopsided game, the Spanish just did enough, a very professional game. I believe my Portugal will lose to them, Spain are just better and have more depth. From what I've seen so far the final will probably be Germany v. Spain, so far the 2 best teams. But one never knows, maybe a surprise might happen and that would be nice, it would give Platini a headache^&grin.

I thought it was just me who found that match beyond boring, good God what a cure for insomnia that was.............I'm pulling for Italy, Germany and England in that order, hoping one of the three pulls it off, guaranteed no matter what that one of them will be in the final...............

As a team not naturally gifted in the ' Getting and keeping the ball ' dept, we have come up with a foolproof plan should we face Spain. Its simplicity itself. We simply slip one of our international Rugby players into a Football kit, on the one occasion we get the ball we give it to him and he runs like **** for their net. Its our best hope.:wink2:

France were as they have been for many years pathetic. Only germany and Spain have shown any real quality so far and, the real buzz for me, was what was seen as german second team!!!! pace and flair. This game tonight is the only one I think that you just cannot call the outcome like the others. I think England will edge it and, if we can pull it off against the germans then, who was the last team to beat spain????

What was boring about that display of skill and geometric passing game. It's actually amazing to behold. The only way to beat them is to disrupt the flow, which means taking a few fouls. If you let them play their game they will win. France let them to do that. If they get to the final I can't see Germany letting that happen, assuming Germany gets there too :wink2:

Agreed. It became boring. Spain was so methodical and France did nothing to mix it up. Fouling would have better then just folding. Anyway. I switched to Rugby half way through!!
I agree the end will probably be Germany against Spain. I hope so as unfortunately I see Germany as the only possible to beat Spain.
The England Italian match thus far is scoreless. Will the Italians hold to there usual defeat of England in the finals 7 out of 9 last meetings?
OR WILL the three lions pull it off?

Thanks for clarfifying to the uneducated masses who are not familiar with the finer points of soccer, or should I say football.....................to me it was boring, a total and utter snoozefestival.

Let me say I have more respect for the three lions then most players in the industry. Rooney broke records and will remain one of my top five blokes.{bravo}}
