Euro 2012 (2 Viewers)

What was boring about that display of skill and geometric passing game. It's actually amazing to behold. The only way to beat them is to disrupt the flow, which means taking a few fouls. If you let them play their game they will win. France let them to do that. If they get to the final I can't see Germany letting that happen, assuming Germany gets there too :wink2:

The boring part is that there was no opposition, no shots on goal, no competition, no nothing, Spain didn't even need to break sweat. A waste of time IMHO.

With all due respect, England did their best, better than in other recent tournaments, but their best at the moment is just not good enough. Complete overhaul with new players coming in for the 2014 World Cup or more of the same?
All IMHO, of course.

Well, maybe the way Spain plays has something to do with that. May not always result in a lot of goals but it's effective and the name of the game is wins and we only need two more.

For once, it's nice to be feared.

Congratulations Paulo........until Wednesday:D

My expectations for Wednesday are really low, I believe Spain will send Portugal home, and that's it, curtains^&grin

Paulo, Remember this...all these men played beyond well. To have made it to even the quarter finals was breathtaking!! They may get sent home as one of the last four teams? Do you realize the honor?

My regards to you and your countrymen.

My German team will more then likely fall as well to Espana. Unless they win on penalty. I would rather they lose on the field of glory my friend!!!!

Love ya like a brother! Your team made it so far and so well...and who knows.......they may just find a way to break it..

Let me say this. I have fished all around the world in my latter years. I fished Black Marlin off the Azores out of Lisbon. Your country men deserve your support as they have no lacking in heart...so GIVE IT TO THEM WIN OR LOSE!!!!!!!!

Hi Ludwig,

I like your attitude, your way of posting, and your collection too :salute::

Next week we all should be in for two great games before the final, and as I like to say: May the better teams win.

Hoping for Germany to make it to the finals, and if they do, next sunday I will a few "Weihenstephan" ready to help me through the game ^&grin
You gave me that idea :wink2:

Haven't had a good Weizenbier in a long time and am looking forward to it.
Heck, I might get that beer anyway, even if Germany doesn't play in the final game :smile2:

Cheers.

I love your fire Ludwig!!!!!! What a rousing message! After reading that I feel as if I'm ready to hit the pitch now myself!

Well a perfectly boring game and the inevitable outcome. Can't complain as there is no way we would have beaten Portugal,Germany or Spain anyway. So the best teams in the competition are through and good luck to them all. They all play exciting football and it will be a pleasure to watch whoever is in the finals . Good luck to all you guys and your own particular teams. {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Rob...

I thought it was a great game and we were unlucky with our chances. Would have liked to have seen defoe come on with his pace as Rooney was well below par and not fit. Whatever his stance he should have been on the bench and come on not starting. Quite unsure how the team looked so tired through the competition but, now we move on build for the world cup with young new players who will be hungry for the chance to play for england. We have to be alexandrian in our approach to those who think they have a special right to be automatically picked and, build like the germans did after their defeats.

I think germany will easily beat Italy and watch, a shock defeat for spain probably on the cards. see nothing now but a german win

Ah, the Azores, a place of wonder:rolleyes2:!
On support, of course I give it to them, at least from the couch^&grin, whether they win or lose... In 2004, when we hosted the Euro, I went around with flags, etc., not anymore, just don't feel like it... I almost never bring myself to go and see any game. I prefer to do that with my son's basketball team, whether they win or lose^&grin...

Yes Rooney has great feet (and he scores your penalties!) but he is looking quite fat. Gerrard looks past his prime and Milner, Young and Carroll (except for his towering headers) looked quite substandard. On the other hand Hart was great, also Terry, Parker and Wallcott. England did play a fine first 15 minutes or so... I believe some of your players have great skill, enough to play a better passing game full of fast pace (Wiltshere anyone?), they are just not used to such a system (are they normally working their physical stamina part hard enough or just sitting through it?). But very possibly some of them are quite overrated (Carrol and Young for instance?) at least when you look at their UK transfer value and paychecks...

I can't tell who you're rooting for. The message wasn't clear at all.

Love It Jazz, Go Spain!!!! TOO!!! I will repeat....All these players have my respect!!!

I cannot believe no one else is posting. Just because England did not show up fort the match and was disqualified for it....does not mean Rob had to stop posting does it?{sm4}

Ludwig!!!

All this fever and watch it will be a portugal V Italy final with Italy winning. they always seem to do well when they have match fixing behind them and the fact they probably want to stay out of the italian authorities grasp a few days longer
Mitch

Could happen Mitch you never know. But I'm still betting on Germany v Spain, whoever gets there it should be a good game{bravo}}
