Figarti Stuka Photos (2 Viewers)

The situations aren't comparable because all Figarti items are limited items that are retired almost immediately whereas FL items take a very long time to be retired. In the case of an item like the Stuka, if you receive a damaged item it's unlikely you'll be able to replace it, whereas with FL it's replaceable.

I agree, and I encountered a similar problem when the paint started flaking off the Fiesler Storch (Rommel version) aircraft that I bought from Figarti several years ago. Figarti was unable to provide a replacement model because it took a year or so for the flaking to appear and no Figarti dealer had that model remaining in stock. I contacted Rick at Figarti and he agreed to pay to have the model airfreighted back to China to be repaired and repainted then airmailed back to Australia. Btw, Figarti had to pay the import duty when the model arrived in China for repair, which was a bit unfair imo, but that's governments for you. Anyhow, I was very impressed with Rick/Figarti because this somewhat extreme resolution of a relatively minor problem would have cost them a lot of money.

I had a couple of issues on two Figarti AFV's (paint flaking on one and a bit broken off and missing in the box on the other) and in both cases i got excellent customer service from Peter Wang at Figarti. Like the other posts have said, the vehicles only have a limited run and mine had sold out but Peter organised FedEx to pick them up from me and to send back to Shanghai for repairs. It hasn't cost me a cent and even though i would prefer to not have any issues, i am impressed by this service. I do have other Figarti vehicles and artillery in my collection and i don't have any issues with them.

They do have excellent customer service. Rick, Peter, Clive and Matt do a great job.

Well I would disagree and think Mitch would back me up on Figarti poor customer care as he the one who end up fixing them up for me

Tom, seems like you had a similar good result to mine, I would recommend Figarti to anyone.

Excellent Post{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}......I still think that Figarti should offer a discount/rebate to those collectors who have recieved damaged items due to faulty packaging....That is the only fair thing to do IMO.....This problem really needs to be rectified

Probably just me but your smiley faces seem to indicate you are happy at the misfortune of others.

No that is NOT the case...It is "JUST YOU" (as usual)....I am never happy about the misfortune of others....I do think that post #44 about Toy Soldier Brigade's new drinking game is funny, trying to make light of the issue....(especially the comedy about "glue shots")......What is not funny to most of us is recieving broken items while paying top dollar........as a toy soldier dealer I'm sure you are quite aware of that....since it is not a good situation for customer, manufacturer or dealer. This was also my experience.....Excellent Customer Service....my paint flaking problems were also rectified by Peter Wang.......I was promptly sent a replacement item.....In cases however where only 100 items are produced it is difficult to send replacements....I wish that Figarti would produce 200 items per run and package better......The Stuka would still have no problem selling out at 200..... The Stuka and their Tiger Tanks are hot sellers....200 would be better and a master mold kept for future re-runs

No arguments from me.I e-mailed issues about several of my own pieces having flaky paint upto and including the nashorn. I did not even get a reply!!! Never had any dealings with Clive so, can't comment on how he acts only heard stories. I have pics of all of mine that had problems but, as I can sort them myself its not worth sending it all the way back to china and get it repaired. It should be done at the cost of the manufacturer not the customer and, a few figures etc to do this is not customer service IMO. I now buy no Figarti AFV's and have only bought aircraft recently which, had no problems. Its just not worth the trouble or the risk anymore.

I can see how customers can get frustrated with these issues....especially if they persist....hopefully they will not.

I just returned from vacation today and when I got home my Stuka was waiting for me. It came from Hobby Bunker to New Jersey via UPS. When I opened it up I discovered that both wheels were broken off and the left wing was not lining up correctly. I was able to fix both problems using my glue. Its obvious that the damage was not caused by Hobby Bunker or UPS but by not being packaged correctly. No extra foam surrounding the wheels looks like the problem to me. Its a great plane and I'm suprised how close to scale it matches with the older 21st century Stuka, they look great together. Keith

Any chance you could post a picture of the Figarti Stuka next to the 21st century? Would be interesting to see.

Sorry to hear that, sounds like the parts come off where they connect to the plane rather than snapping in half. It looks like the wheels and rear tail area parts were glued on in the first place.Just didn't have enough to keep things intact during transit ?

I have both planes and will post some pics . Great idea !

Yes PA that's very possible. Appreciate if you could post that comparison picture. I still have not figured out how to post pictures but I'm determined to figure this out! Keith

In closing on this topic I would like to say thanks Figarti for making this plane.I have my mint example and have no intentions of getting rid of it !
This is an awesome aircraft in liew of some bumpy waters along the way .................. :salute::

Thats rather bad damage. shame that figarti themselves have kept quiet in all of this. I suppose its always going to be this way when they know 100 people will risk buying their products and have be happy to have the superglue at the ready or, pay others to rectify a manufacturers sloppy work. But, as Terry and others have mentioned if your willing to risk it and pay good money then its the consumers choice!!!!!! better buy plenty of glue and spirts it seems
