Gas prices🤬 (1 Viewer)

Getting gas this morning, I noticed the person before on pump 3 had bought $10.00 worth of gas. Where were they going? to pump 4? ^&grin^&grin^&grin

This busted me up; well done...............gas here has gone up 25 cents the past two weeks, highest prices since 2008.

And it's going to keep going up, would not rule out 5.00 a gallon by the Summer.

you guys should be glad you're not living in California...

Ours has risen $.60 in the last week. I'm afraid we are in a 21st century dark age.

By Summer?? At this rate 5 bucks is a lock by April 1st...and that's no joke!!!

It's probably going over $6 per gallon in most places in the coming weeks. There doesn't seem to be any solution in the near term and likely gets worse. The Russians and Saudis are laughing all the way to the bank. An ocean of money is pouring to them at these prices.

Really funny.

I only have 1 of the 6 we drive that gets over 20 mpg and 3 take 93 octane so I make it a point to never complain about gas prices. I do it myself by my choice in cars. The bad thing is, like that person putting 10 bucks in if you are someone who is struggling this has to be hard on people.
The United States has 400 + years of oil under it at current use levels by most estimates
Renewable will take over in that time , why we buy oil from anyone I will never understand.

Costco built a new location on my way to work and the gas price difference has paid for the yearly membership in a month.

I agree, if we are so confident in renewables, which in 400 years I am confident too, let's drill and use our own darn oil!

So the US is banning Russian oil and gas but Europe will continue to buy it. Once again the US has to bite the bullet. We already pay most of the defense costs of the NATO countries. Now they will continue to fund Putin by buying his oil while US will pays higher prices the pumps. Prices likely to jump big time.

Doug,

I agree wholeheartedly, this continues to be a disaster - humanitarian and economic. Well, I amend my post from about 5 pages plus ago. We will officially be in a recession momentarily. As I have indicated what I do previously on the board - I just had a project go on hold yesterday (in the renewable/green space) due to financial reasons. It is not the project costs, it is the well off financial backers who are holding cash and taking a pause. Exactly what I said would occur. End of day, watch the ripple effect of gas in particular, you will see wholescale price increases continue across all goods. And forget the Saudis - the Crown Prince just recently in the last week indicated his disdain for the US in his words public insult/assault on his character. Not getting into a debate about what I think about the Saudis, but gas from them is a "no fly zone" at the moment.

You know, sitting back and looking on the last 2 plus years, you have to just shake your head as in *** else could happen, well it did.

It's the price of "Energy Transition" in America according to the US Energy Secretary statement recently.

The Russian Oil situation is quickening this imperative of moving off foreign Fossil Fuels.

Producing more oil in America to deleverage Russia and other belligerent state's advantage. "Drill baby Drill" just makes people sick and the world sick for future generations, right?

It's just the price of progress, right?

I just came back from LA last week and I haven't seen the air cleaner. Yet, the homeless population has increased and ubiquitous. Is the there correlation, maybe?

Nuclear power just isn't safe, after all look what happen in Japan and Chernobyl.

Yeah, we need to wait for the experts in the White House to guide us toward utopia. They know far more than us and what's best for us, right?

Don't have to think anymore, just be compliant, "it's for greater good", right?

Awhile ago I told my friends, we had financial disaster 2008, pandemic 2020 and all we need now is war to complete the trifecta of misery, and here we are. Btw, where's Lancer? Hadn't seen any posting from him in awhile.

Gas is now officially at the highest average price per gallon across the US.

EVER.

No more "Since 2008, 2010, 2020".....

It's now EVER.

That's one Hell of a thing to put on your resume.

Gas is now 4.25 a gallon here, that's up 50 cents from the last time I filled up two weeks ago and 2.55 more than it was a year or so again.

And yes, 5.00 a gallon will be here by April as Sammy said.

I fill up every other week, not as bad as some people I know who fill up every 5 days or so/6 times a month, what they are now paying is beyond criminal.

And the sad thing is the people of the US has no say.{eek3}

Yeah, he normally posts every day but it's been about 5 weeks or so. I know one time he was off for a couple of months due to computer issues. He also had bouts of poor health. Hope it's not the latter. Chris

You guys crack me up, seriously you do. ^&grin

$5 bucks for a Gallon on gas in the US. I'd hate to think what you'd say if you had to pay $3 per litre of petrol down here (NZ) like we do?

And just to add, there's about 3.7 litres of gas in every Gallon.

Costs well over $100 to fill our Suzuki Swift (1600cc) and over $150 to fill the Holden (GM) Commodore V6.

Its enough to give ya the screaming squirts....

Highest average price in US history.

Sorry if myself and others are torked off over it.

Truly sticker shock.

Given the escalation, I'm afraid that soon the problem will not be the increase in the price of gasoline ...

Yes it is especially for a country that could easily be dependent on its own resources.
