Stay safe my friend and if you fancy a trip to the Great White North I have space for you here. If you don't mind all the critters
this is the best website/hobby I have ever joined...
for real...
to have several people extend their homes and hospitality is most generous and flattering...
toy soldier guys rule!
I sincerely appreciate all the offers...but I think I'm gonna ride this out...
thank you John...Sammy...Zach...Louis...Larry...for the extremely generous offers to host me...
my home is brick...it's sturdy...my roof is tight...thew windows are well protected against wind/debris with the electric roll down shutters...
I have a propane gas grill to cook on if the power goes out...pantry and ice box are stocked...gas in the car...
beaucoup cash in my wallet...
CASH IS KING in a crisis...
I heard on the radio we might get 100 mph gusts...severe flooding...and that once it hits landfall it may travel east to Galveston...
the part about traveling east towards me is most scary...
but I'm good...I'm gonna buckle down and hope for the best...
thank you all for your well wishes and offers of hospitality...
Mike. Never mind Boston you all gotta' come on up here to Maine. We have Lobster, Clams, and all the seafood that you can eat until you drop.
The beaches are open, the sun is warm and endless miles of sand and "gentle" surf.
Or you can just sit in my 48 acres of forest and fight off the mosquitoes while down some cold Sam Adams and grilled sausage.
But seriously, please play it on the safe side.

Mike
You are in my prayers. Stay safe and keep us posted. This sounds on a par with the Galveston hurricane of 1900.

Larry,
I am coming to Maine, that sounds awesome, seafood, beer and sausages, I will be there when the remnants make it to Maryland!!!
Seriously, Mike - stay safe, I just left Houston on Wednesday and I was happy to disappear. My clients were not at all happy and bracing for the worst, hoping for the best.

I am currently in California, watching the news and the Doppler of the storm is simply frightening.
My wife says the store shelves are empty in San Antonio. I asked her to check the beer aisle and she said it was the most empty aisle in the store. You just gotta love Texas!
AND tortillas are out!!!
John from Texas
John...are you guys starting to get some yet?
looking at the radar...looks like you should be getting some rain and wind...
seems like downtown floods easy every time I'm there and it rains...
