Guess that makes me a vampire then Simon (apologies CS - obscure reference). I've taken plenty of inspiration from other Diorama builders on this forum and have applied all I've read to produce what I've....ummm....produced.

Harry great stuff, I may have missed this as I read about the icicles you made, but what did you do for snow? It looks really good.
H,
I've just re-read my post and it came out the wrong way round . What I meant to say was that you have provided plenty of food for thought for others, myself included.

Talcum powder.
Again, it was a suggestion that someone mentioned to me. Tried sprinkling it through some fine mesh then fixed it in place with some watered down white glue. Seems to work fine and the diorama smells good too.

Hmmmm.........thanks for the tip!
I initially tried flour and it looked good, but someone said it might attract insects. Don't need that.

But if you ever got bored with the dio, you could make some scones with the materials, so I wouldn't dismiss the idea entirely......
I just wanted to post some tanks

The dio looks great Harry, still makes me cold looking at it. I hope that Kraut freezes there, sorry, couldn't help myself, Mike
Tell you what Harry, you have nailed the use of backdrops. Perfect blend of dio base in to backdrop photo. Very realistic.
