Whats going on in the NFL this year? Can't count on much. Giants crush Redskins; Redskins beat Broncos; Broncos smash Giants. Enough to drive a bookie nuts! I suppose next the New Orleans ain'ts will go undefeated.:p -- lancer

Lets hope so go the SAINTS....................:D

Again my Ravens take one down to the final wire, but at least this time they actually beat the Steelers!!!!!!! wasn't pretty but a win none the less, now we got 5 games left to make a run at the playoffs, at Greenbay next Monday not getting any easier...Sammy

I must apologize to the Redskins. I have revised my opinion and no longer feel that they are the worst Redskin team I have seen in 43 years. This current team has shown a lot of fight and guts over the last few games. They haven't got the hang of winning the close games against the Cowboys and Eagles but they sure didn't roll over and die as they might have. This team has had ruinous injuries and has never really got going. I do believe that Zorn should be allowed to continue. Now, about the Ravens, whoo, what a game. That game should not have been that close when you consider Big Ben did not play. Ravens should count their lucky stars and try to build on this win to make a playoff run. I would still like to know what has happened to the Giants as I thought they would be THE team to beat in the NFC East. That can't be a happy group in NY. -- lancer

Well I agree on Zorn and the guts but the team has lost its spark. I am still not sold on Campbell with those interceptions and the poor game ending throw. Of course the Zebras totally missed a roughing call on that play which they would have called for Bradley but such is life. I would like to route now for loses to improve the draft but I am afraid that would be an excuse to dismiss Zorn.

My Bears are in deep trouble, no defense, no offensive line, the coaching staff not sure what I can say about them and no first or second round draft picks. Maybe the Hawks will do something.

Steelers Ravens, all in all for missing Big Ben, Troy, 3 D-ends, A hurt Lawrence Timmons, we didn't do too bad. It was actually a great game to watch and even though we came up short, I enjoyed the game, heck I thought we might pull it out! One more stat - Flacco sacked 5 times, hit 12 fumbled once, Steeles Dixon - 0-. Ravens better take a look at that and figure it out quick, Flacco cant be a punching bag every week.

That was a great game last night, kudos to that kid who played QB for the Steelers, third string QB and he almost pulled it out, going to be a dogfight for the two wildcard spots in the AFC, should be exciting.

I watched that Colts/Texans game yesterday and all I can say is watching the Colts is like having a root canal without novacaine, they annoy me to no end. FOURTH week in a row they trailed going into the 4th quarter, yet they once again pull out a win;nice 43 yard pass interference penalty too by the way.

I guess in addition to not touching a guy after 5 yards, you can't breathe on him either, not to mention the pass was uncatchable, 10 feet over the guys head.

Is there any doubt the NFL wants Saints/Colts or Vikings/Colts in the Super Bowl, what a joke, Goodell is an embarassment.

As far as the Giants, that defense is just pathetic, talk about soft and all the ranting and raving by Coughlin on the sidelines isn't going to change that; funny how two years ago, he was a genius, now he's just a lunatic................

I'd say that's a safe bet as they are blowing out the Patriots...........the Patriots are no longer an elite team, no longer a very good team, they are just an average team that will be lucky to win the division at this point and even if they do, will be one and done for the playoffs.

Bottom line is they have not and never will recover from that gag job in the Super Bowl vs the Giants.

The dynasty is officially over, it was a great run while it lasted, but it is officially over; Dolts/Saints in the Super Bowl, battle of two 16-0 teams, final score 77 to 76.......................

You know....the Pat's defense was ranked #1 til this game...look at this video if you have 8 minutes and 22 seconds to spare...

vs.

Drew Brees

guess who won????

Brees is a great quarterback, but my local high school QB can make completions when he has an a hour and a half to sit in the pocket and wait for recievers to get open, you can't cover a guy all day long and the Patriots have zero pass rush, which is why they gagged away that Dolts game earlier this year, they put zero pressure on Manning and he picked them apart................

Brees is a great quarterback but I think that assessment is a wee bit harsh George. From the game I saw, he generally made his releases in 3 seconds or so and they used a moving pocket or roll outs when he needed more time. Conversely Brady had 6 or more seconds on several occassions and still mostly couldn't make the plays against a patched together secondary that has hardly played together. It wasn't a question of having to cover a guy so long but rather that Brees was throwing bullets and the Patriots secondary was at times completely out of sync. Without a few Saint rookie mistakes the score could have been 48 to 10. It was a fun game to watch if you are not a Pats fan and demonstrated that there is no doubt the Saints are for real.;):D Next weeks game against the Skins could be very embarassing. Frankly though, if the Saints play like that, I may enjoy it anyway just to see the offensive magic this team has.

It is probably not a matter of the Saints being disliked. More a matter of a team that has a LONG history of mediocrity suddenly winning in a big way and not having many believers on board yet. Also, this forum has so many members, located all over, that most of the posters are not fans of the Saints but of their own local team. The Saints sure looked good against the Patriots. My overall impression was of great speed. They did what they wanted, when they wanted, and at a very rapid pace. I fear they will slaughter my Redskins this week. At any rate, the Saints sure are playing like this is their year. -- lancer

There was no pressure, as in none, as in nothing applied all night by the Patriots, while the Aints were constantly collapsing the pocket on Brady, forcing him to move up into the pocket, throw on the run (which lead to that boneheaded INT he threw with the Patriots up 7-3 and driving) and hurry his throws.

He looked just plain awful last night, brutal in fact.

Give the Aints credit, they are for real; the NFCCG with the Aints vs the Vikings will be a classic, can't wait for that one, with the winner going on to face the Colts, which will be another classic game................
