With out a doubt Detroit got screwed on the fumble. It would have been 21-7 going into the half. Im not saying the Lions would have won but it would have made for a different game. Also Detroit should have challenged the spot in the 2nd qt when it was obvious ivory didn't make the mark on 3rd and 2 from the saints 15. By no means are the saints responsible its purely the refs as it always is in Detroits case. Oh yeah for all the nay sayers thinking the Saints can't or won't do good in outdoor venues think back to the beginning of the year. The Saints nearly pulled off a win in Greenbay and I believe they scored over 30. Brees is the man, the weather is not gonna do anything to his game. I watched this guy play at Purdue. Sun, rain or snow he was always on top of his game.
The first meeting was 80+ degrees, clear weather, in August, and they still lost! I think its a little different to win on the road on the frozen tundra of Labeau Field in late January, when it is below zero, the ice cold wind is blowing hard, and your receivers are trying to make their cuts on frozen natural grass.
