N.F.L. 21-22 Season (2 Viewers)

Thanks Harbaugh for deciding to go for two................gee, too bad.

As of right now, the Patriots are the #1 seed; granted all that can change tomorrow night, but we'll see.

This one year rebuild has been tough on our fan base, looks like it's over, we've got our QB of the future, the last one picked in the first round.

Thanks everyone for passing on him, now for the next three years, we'll have a very good QB on his rookie deal, so they can load up on talent on both sides of the ball.

Good news for the Rams. They finally broke that three-game losing streak. Bad news. It was against another cupcake opponent and just about every other NFC playoff team won this weekend. At least they picked up a game on the 49ers who somehow managed to lose a huge game to the Seachickens. Baltimore isn't impressing me. They could as easily be under .500. "Small game" Lamar made another appearance yesterday. They should have slaughtered the Steelers.

Let’s hope that the Chief’s garbage win against Green Bay and Captain COVID, does not come back to haunt the Patriots.

Last night during the hurricane the Patriots beat the Bills 14-10, they brought back a combination of the single wing and veer offense, Jones passed three times all game long.

Run, run, run.........................it worked I guess, the Bills had two trips into the red zone, had a FG pushed to Canada by the wind, then missed on a fourth and goal on a crappy pass forced due to an all out safety blitz.

Patriots are the #1 seed and if the season ended today, if things go according to plan in the first round, they'd get the Chiefs in the second round.

Don't see how that is any sort of prize...........................still a long way to go and a lot can happen.

Just take care of business and win out, then let the chips fall where they may.

There is still a long way to go, but I can’t help but wonder where the draft experts and naysayers are who said that Mac Jones was a reach and that New England wasted their first round pick on him?

This could go down as one of the greatest drafts in Patriots history with Jones, Barnmore and Stephenson being great picks, Ronnie Perkins is waiting in the wings as is the linebacker they drafted from Michigan who was a sure fire first round pick until he hurt his knee, this is basically a red shirt year for him, he'll be ready to go next year from all reports, as will two other players who were hurt, the slot receiver from UFC and the safety from Oregon.

IF they hit on all those players, holy smokes.

Just the three I mentioned is a tremendous draft.

And yes, Belichick got roasted for taking Jones, especially around here "He's a one year starter on a loaded Alabama team/can't throw deep/weak arm, blah blah blah".......

Yeah, ok.

My God is this Thursday night game horrible; 99% of the time they are bad anyway, but this one...........holy smokes.

How bad are the Ravens to have lost to the Steelers, who look horrendous, especially on defense, they are swiss cheese vs the run and mother of God is Roethlisberger toast, stick a fork in that guy, he should have retired last season when they started off 11-0 and then crashed and burned down the stretch.

That team is heading towards years of mediocrity unless they find another QB and the 2022 draft class is piss poor regarding QB's, so they'll have to overpay for some retread free agent QB in the off season.

Wow...........maybe Tomlin should have taken that USC job instead of going postal on the reporter who floated the idea.

When I suggested to my son we watch the game he said “are you kidding. Two teams that can’t beat the Lions?”

Not sure if you stuck around on the game, but Ben is still Ben at times. Down 29-0 late in 3rd, Steelers drive back and lose 36-28, however, Ben threw a rocket with 2 secs left, Tight End caught in endzone, but ................hit jarred loose. Ended up being a screamer finish. I don't think the issue is Ben all together, yes he is at the end of the road, but he has enough skills. The issue is the O line and ANY of the second string defense. The Steelers have a good first string D, but once a back up comes in at certain positions, holy moly, there is a huge , I mean huge difference in ability. Sad state and sorry to see Ben's final season tail like this. He may not be the best that he was, but he is doing this season IMO with little to zero support at times.

I really think Aaron Rogers would be a good fit and they probably with him make a legit run.

Tom...

I had the Steelers +4...

Rothlisberger really got hot late in the 3rd...

that was almost the most incredible come back I have ever seen...I turned it off when it was 26-0...started watching Blacklist...then flipped back to check on the score a few minutes later...and it was 29-14...then eventually...29-20...

the one thing that peed me off was on the Steeler's final drive...Claypool got a first down with about 25 seconds left...and instead of scrambling back to the huddle as time was running out...he wasted at least 5 seconds kneeling at the point of his reception pointing to the end zone signaling that he secured a first down for the Steelers...they could of used the time he wasted with at least one more attempt to score before time expired...

a young player showboating in the spotlight...celebrating his personal accolades cost them some valuable time...

Amendment to my statement - they make a legit run with him and a health FIRST string defense! (Which I think they would have made last year starting at 10 or 11 and 0 or even this year).

It was painful to watch that first half. A short week is cruel to an older player in Ben's shape. Tomlin and Ben were once champions but those days are over. Ben can show flashes of the great player that he was a long time ago but it is like watching Elvis near the end. Cringe worthy. I was amazed when they said he was 39 years old. He looks 50. I haven't seen a NFL player in that shape since Billy Kilmer. Tomlin should take a college job. Oregon maybe. A lot more fun than the NFL.

True words. I will keep Tomlin, but it is going to be a rebuild unless a QB comes in and that QB is Rodgers! I think he could be a band aid albeit an expensive one.

This the Catch 22 when you get a great QB in house and they are durable, eventually you have an issue and it takes years to rebuild it. I wouldn't trade the 3 SB opps nor all of the competitive games, but I also remember the drought between 1981 and 1995 too!

That's not a long term solution, how many years does he have left and he'll cost a fortune.

You need to do what the Chefs and Cardinals did; draft a solid rookie, get him on his four year rookie deal and built a team around him..............then when you have to pay him, look out.

They said on the broadcast he's 6'5", 250..................yeah; no.

If he's 250, then I'm 180.

And I love Tomlin; if Belichick ever left, I'd want him as my coach, he's awesome, what he's done with the Steelers as their coach is remarkable, he's tremendous.

If he left and went to a college program, I'd instantly be a fan of that program.

Have to give the Steelers organization a ton of credit, man do they know how to hire coaches; Noll, Cowher, Tomlin, what's that, 3 coaches over the last 50 or so years, they were all great coaches that won Super Bowls and got the team to multiple championship games, pretty sure Dallas in the NFC and the Steelers in the AFC have played in the most championship games.

They have 6 rings; were it not for the Patriots, they'd have 10 for sure.

As a fan of the NFL, I can't hate on the Steeers as I really, really like their coach and I respect that organization, they are the gold standard of the NFL along with the Packers.

None of their players are bad human beings off the field and you can't hate on them, plus their fans are hard core, knowledgeable diehards, not band wagon yahoos.

See Mike; I can say nice things about other teams, isn't that swell of me?

George,
Kind words! I think you put your Pats in the category too. They are winners and I can't fault Belichick ever as a coach and not knowing him personally, can't accurately comment on his demeanor!!! Additionally, as an organization, I think they treat the game, the players the way it is supposed to be - it is a business first, family second. I really don't think they have ever done any players dirty, I just dont.

As I said earlier, this season makes you feel nostalgic and sad for Big Ben at the same time. Last night, watching the end of the third to the end of the game was by goodness darn exciting, I mean he looked like the 24 year old phenom rather than the 39year old, and he no matter when or where in his career can make a better throw than the last play of the game last night. What a freaking bullet. I encourage any football fan to find that replay, it is certainly worth a few watches!

Tom,
The Steelers were dominate in the 1970's and have been a very good team from about 1995 through till now; the Patriots got to two Super Bowls from 1960 through 2000, then Brady and Belichick got here and they had a 20 year run.

You really can't compare the two, the Steelers have been the gold standard in the AFC for more or less 45 years, that's more than TWICE as long as this current run by the Patriots.

As I said, I hold no ill will towards the Steelers, their players are not bad people off the field, they are coached right and taught right and again, not one, not two but possibly three HOF coaches, Tomlin needs to win another SB IMO to get there.

The Patriots have had Belichick and..........................and.................................ok, Parcells for four years, Fairbanks was pretty good for five or so years, but no SB wins until Belichick got here.

For gold standard organizations, you have to go Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, 49ers...............top 4 right there, maybe Patriots 5th, but sorry, there it taint from not one, but two cheating scandals, make of them what you will, but none of the four teams I mentioned had one scandal, nevermind two.

It is what it is.
