N.F.L. 21-22 Season (1 Viewer)

Good game!! Was hoping for overtime, congrats to the Rams that last touchdown drive was like Unitas to Berry, except it was Stafford to Kupp!!! 🤣 Bengals will be around for awhile with Burrows.

Victory is sweet! Closer game than I would have liked. The Rams should have won easily. The injuries to Woods, Higbee, and OBJ and complete inability to run the ball put the entire game on Stafford and Kupp. It wasn't pretty, but they got it done. A lot of lean years for the LA Rams finally came to an end. Good to see Donald get his ring. It felt like those guys willed themselves to a championship. The NFL season has become such a marathon that half the players and coaches were talking about retirement. It is ridiculous to play a 21 game in a season to win the SB. LA was the real star of the show. The stadium, warm weather, and stars. Meanwhile it was 16 degrees and snowing here in Old PA. I disliked the halftime show but that was aimed at a younger audience. My favorite part of the aftermath is watching the players try to handle their kids while giving interviews. The kids are climbing on the ESPN table, rolling on the ground etc. The moms have abandoned them at that point after no doubt having them for months during the season. Van Jefferson's wife gave birth after the game. No wonder he looked out of it.

other than a close final score...I don't think the game was as close as it seemed...take away that 75 yard pass to Higgins...which never should have stood...and Burrows only had 150 passing yards...the Bengals did shut down the Rams running game...which really surprised me...but at 10-7...Cincinnati went a lot farther than most would have imagined...other than that missed call...i think it was a well officiated game...close enough to keep everyone on their toes...if OBJ had stayed in the game...it might have been a rout...

congrats Doug...time to buy an Aaron Donald jersey...

Congrats on the win, I was worried after they allowed that non call to go for 85 yards and td for the Bengals as that would have been robbery and the difference in the game. I thought that was a reviewable play???? It should be.

I also thought the refs missed offsides on both teams all night long, but I am glad they didn't call that in the final drive as I thought the Bengals did it numerous times too. I am glad they finally addressed blatant holding and Pass Int when it mattered. The "right" team won the game.

Halftime...........................All I know is the sound was atrocious and the mash up of stars was worthless, yet it is being lauded by Hollywood today. SO, if you think about things like the Oscars, Academy, etc, then you know the halftime show stunk! I think they screwed that up in a lot of ways. You had 5 legitimate superstars out there and could barely hear much of what they did. The flow was awful, it was literally a mash up. I think they need to go back to 1 star themed halftime shows, almost ala Broadway, etc.

Thanks Tom and Mike. It's interesting but after all these years of the Rams coming up short in the playoffs and Super Bowls, I have to agree somewhat with John McEnroe: "The thrill of winning is not as great as the pain of losing." It would have been a soul crushing defeat to go into this game as the favorite, against a team that frankly wasn't that good, and not win this game. This felt like the Rams now or never time. A loss with most of their future picks traded away for the players on this current team would have been brutal. Kupp was unbelievable. If I were coaching Cincy, I would have triple teamed him and told my defense that if Kupp makes a catch on that final drive they should expect to be playing elsewhere. No way do you try to cover him with a LB or single coverage like they did in the red zone. Those defenders were helpless.

Great point, when the Steelers made the SB, I was always more fearful as a fan in losing, it always felt worse. I still hate to this day Mendenhall and the bumbling fumble against Green Bay. Killed momentum, killed the game, we lost. That stings more than the Neil ODummy debacle against Dallas where he threw the exact same interception twice in the game. See, I remember those more than I even do the Holmes miracle catch.

Congrats on a well deserved win, with a huge tip of my Norcal cap to SoCal. LA did the Super Bowl proud, from the venue to their team.

It is amazing to me that people say defense wins championships when this Rams team basically had the same defense when they lost to New England in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.

What they didn’t have in that game was a big game quarterback (Stafford) and a league leading receiver (Kupp).

Offense wins championships, and more specifically in today’s NFL, passing offense wins championships.

How bout that UGA Dawg (Stafford)? In fact both teams were helmed by former SEC QBs (Burrows/LSU). Imagine that!

Interestingly, Rams Coach McVay has an Atlanta connection. Brookhaven is a mostly wealthy enclave within the city of Atlanta. Distinct from Buckhead.

McVay graduated from Marist School in Brookhaven, Georgia, in 2004. He was a four-year starter at Marist as a quarterback and defensive back for the War Eagles high school football team and was the first player in school history to amass 1,000 yards rushing and passing in consecutive seasons. McVay totaled 2,600 yards rushing and 40 rushing touchdowns during his career and also passed for 2,500 yards and 18 touchdowns, leading the War Eagles to a 26–3 record, including a 14–1 record and state championship his senior year, when he was also named the Georgia 4A Offensive Player of the Year over NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson.[SUP][8][/SUP]

Not a great moment for Stafford when a woman fell off the stage while taking his picture and he turned and walked away. Cooper Kupp wasn't there to catch her either. Thankfully his wife was a bit more concerned.

I saw that video...what a gentleman...he didn't even help her up...his wife ponied up on the medical bills...

Russell Wilson to the Broncos is a great move for the Seachickens. Wilson was clearly unhappy. Not the player that he used to be. A great time to unload him and rebuild. Most teams are too scared to unload an aging star while they can get something in return.

The Broncos have agreed to trade quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks (2022 -- No. 9 overall -- and 2023), two second-round picks (2022 -- No. 40 overall -- and 2023) and a 2022 fifth-round pick to the Seahawks for Wilson and a 2022 fourth-round pick, sources said.

no big deal on the players they gave up...but they sure gave up a lot of draft picks for him...

Wentz to the Deadskins. Another terrible move by Danny Snyder. Wentz is a two-time loser. The Deadskins take on his hefty salary. Now all Danny needs to do is sign Antonio Brown to a $100 million lifetime contract.

The Packers just signed Rodgers (who must be getting up there in years) to a four-year $200 million contract! That must make the backup QB they drafted a couple years ago to replace him feel great. At that price, they would wheel Rodgers out in a wheelchair to play if he breaks his leg. Unreal. A great example of a team hanging onto an aging star and overpaying him beyond his prime. It will doom them in the coming years. King Pete in Seattle made a great move unloading Wilson for a boat load of picks. Most coaches and GMs won't do that because it means a couple of lean years in which they could be fired.

What a circus with Brady. Some guys just can't give it up. Tampa was a train wreck last season. This won't end well.

Only to be out done by Cleveland. What a circus with Watson.

Some guys just don’t belong in the NFL or society.

Cleveland was pure garbage before this signing, now they are below that immeasurable threshold.

Hopefully this doesn’t end well for them.
