N.F.L. 21-22 Season (1 Viewer)

The Patriots are sitting at 3-3 and this Zappe kid is not crappe, he's pretty God**** good actually, I wonder if Mac Jones is going to get Bledsoe'd like Drew did when he was hurt and Brady took his job.

They have some young talent now on both sides of the ball, the 2019, 2021 and 2022 draft classes are bearing fruit, Patricia seems be fitting in as their OC.

They aren't going to challenge the Bills anytime soon for top dog in the AFCE, but they are trending in the right direction, the AFC is not as loaded as it looked on paper, so we'll see.

Ravens might want to think real hard before selling the farm to Lamar and a new contract, sitting at 3-3, there's all kinds of room for critique and blame, defense can stop anyone in the 4th quarter, offense can't score in the 2nd half, could be 6-0 yada, yada....I don't buy any of it .your record states what you are, not what you could be..fortunately the AFC North this year so far is trash, and we're atop the trash pile, 11 games to go, I'm not jumping ship, but I got a spot picked out on the life boat
Lamar looked awful late in the game, virtually giving the game away. Every team has bad games but the Ravens are proving consistently bad in the second half, when good teams nail it down. Lot of work to do, not the least of which will be a honest assessment of Lamar. -- Al

The Seahawks made a great decision letting Wilson go instead of signing him to a huge deal. They avoided the salary cap implications, unloaded an aging player past his prime, and got a good return. Most GM's don't usually do that, though. It's a short-term risk that they are left with an uncertain QB situation, and their jobs are dependent on short term success. It's usually a huge mistake to sign players to those long term mega deals.

The Ravens learned the hard way back in 2012 signing Joe Flacco to some crazy contract which basically tied up the Ravens salary cap for 3 or 4 years, so they may very well sign Jackson long term but I believe if it's done it will be on the ownership terms and not backing up the Brinks truck.

I watched Zappe in his Greenbay game and thought he looked better then Jones, Quaterback controversy??

Wasn't Zappe one of the Marx brothers? I'm reserving judgement until he beats someone other than Cleveland and Detroit. The Pats also have a good D and Belicheat. Can't see them making the playoffs, though. Maybe 8 or 9 wins without a healthy Jones.

They beat the teams they are supposed to beat, which is key, just look at all the upsets week after week where good teams lose to tomato cans.

The kid is a 4th round draft pick who came from a small school, he's seeing the field well and does not panic, he's not making boneheaded throws and is managing the game.

Yes, they are probably not a playoff team, but they are 3-3 and aside from the Bills twice, I'm not seeing any other team that they can't hang with on their schedule..........Minnesota, Arizona, Chicago, Jets twice, Miami, the Bengals, Colts and Raiders.

One game at a time as they say.

I still am of the opinion that the current year product as a whole is pitiful. Not fun to watch.

Tom, my dissatisfaction with the NFL has been growing for years (turn of the century, at least) and has now gotten so bad I am not paying any attention to who is playing who, when or where. Haven't seen a single game out of London, or a Thursday night game, and only one Monday night game. The market seems oversaturated, which would be tolerable if the product was any good, but it's not. I watch Sunday games simply out of muscle memory at this point. Caught the last few minutes of the SD/Den 'game' last night (had forgotten it was on and was channel surfing for the pm news when I came across it). What a joke that game was. Neither offense was worthy of the name, Wilson looks finished, and SD seemed wed to the old 5 yards and a cloud of dust passing attack that is so common these days. The NFL is no longer 'must see' TV for my old eyes. More a matter of tradition and history these days. -- Al

Christian McCaffery to the Niners will make them the real deal. That's a tough one for the Rams who can't beat them even without CMC. He's a great player.

that's a good move...big pick up by San Fran...should really help Garappolo...

I am going to be somewhat cautious on the McCaffrey trade.

The Niners are decimated by injuries and any thought of them being competitive depends on the roster’s overall health.

On the plus side, with McCaffrey’s injury track record he should fit right in.

not only is the NFC East no longer the doormat of the the league...
they actually have the best win record of all 8 divisions...
through week 7...
20 wins and only 7 losses...and 4 of those 7 loses were in that division...

Dallas at a respectable 5-2...is in the lowly position of 3rd place in the East...

elsewhere...
Green Bay...now 3-4...has lost 3 in a row...most surprisingly to 3-4 Washington today...
that's unheard of...as is...
Tampa Bay...now 3-4...has lost 2 in a row...
minus McCaffery...Carolina gave them a loss today...

it's like Bizarro World on Seinfeld...

Who would have thoughts the Giants would be 6-1. The coach has made all the difference. With Joe Judge they’d probably be 1-6. NY baseball may be in the rear view mirror but the football teams are looking up.

Only two teams in the NFC West, South, and North divisions have a winning record after seven games. That's incredible. Tampa is actually in first place in their division with a 3-4 record. The Niners laid the typical egg again. Not to worry, though. They play the Rams next week. They play the Rams like it's the Super Bowl. Unreal how bad they look with all that talent against the rest of the league and how they play the Rams.

Bizarro World, indeed. How else does one explain the RedCommanderSkins beating the Hof QB lead Green Bay team with a second-string QB? That's as weird an occurrence as I've seen this season. Oh well, even the RedCommanderSkins can use a season highlight... -- Al

barring an injury...I think Mac Jones has lost his job as starter...
maybe that INT tonight didn't quite seal the seal...
but when Dweezil's brother came in and scored 2 quick TD's...
Jones better get used to the bench...
Zappe looks too good to watch from the side line...

I think the clock struck midnight on Zappe too..................wow does this team stink, getting torched by Fields, he ran wild on them last night.

I think the Bears matched the total amount they had scored all season just in last night's game.

What a **** defense, no spy, no contain, bad angles on tackles, piss poor tackling, other than Judon, their defense was awful.

Did they play that game in Transylvania? I haven't seen fog and gloom like that outside the old Hammer films. There seems to be an unusually large number of ugly football games on these national TV broadcasts this year. The wheel has turned on the Steelers, Pats, Packers, and Brady but the TV folks haven't caught on.
