N.F.L. 21-22 Season (2 Viewers)

I think the clock struck midnight on Zappe too..................wow does this team stink, getting torched by Fields, he ran wild on them last night.

I think the Bears matched the total amount they had scored all season just in last night's game.

What a **** defense, no spy, no contain, bad angles on tackles, piss poor tackling, other than Judon, their defense was awful.

When the local sport shows made their pick last night, they predicted the reverse, that the Pats would run roughshod over the Bears. They were slightly off. I wonder if it’s time for Belichick to retire. He has little left to prove unless he’s trying to show he can win a SB without Brady.

These guys have enormous egos. They can't let the limelight go. Always hang on a bit too long. Belicheat had the greatest run in modern NFL history, but it's over. There is no magic wand to wave to rebuild an NFL team. It takes time and luck even with the best coach. Injuries are a wild card that no one controls. Shady has stayed on too long as well. He should have walked after winning the SB in Tampa. The retirement, unretirement, and soap opera in Tampa is unnecessary.

The Boston Sports media is piling on today, saying Belichick never should have started Jones and kept running the hot hand Zappe out there, he's "lost his fastball" according to many.

This attitude slays me.

This franchise outside of two Super Bowl trips (86 and 97) was a complete and utter clownshow; Belichick arrives and they go on a historic/probably never to be done again run...................17 division titles in 19 years, 17 trips to the playoffs in 19 years, 8 trips to the Super Bowl, 5 wins, 12 trips to the AFCCG.................

Great; understood Brady was a huge part of that, but they found diamonds in the rough, drafted last almost every year in the first round, had two #1 draft picks stolen from them for nonsensical bullshit reasons.

Belichick is a HOF coach, nothing lasts forever, the key to winning in todays NFL is having an elite QB, just go down the list of SB winners and see who the QB was.

I've dialed down my expectations from this team; I just want to be entertained; if they win, great, if they make the playoffs, great; if not, life goes on.

This is not life or death, it's sports/mindless entertainment.

I was afraid if Dak lost to Detroit...
I would have heard the same thing from the "Monday morning arm chair QB's fans"...about Cooper Rush...

as a NE fan...I personally would find it hard to second guess Belichick...
he's forgot more about coaching than any of these Sport's Media guys will ever know...

I did not watch the second half...but Zappe did get them back in the game real quick in the first...
the second half must have been a disaster for him...

I had NE - 7 1/2...I was never in it...

Zappe crappied himself in the second half, 2 INT's, 0 TD's, the defense was horrendous, made Fields look like Mahomes out there, they had no spy on him, he ran wild.

Sports talking heads around here are all butt hurt because Belichick is not this engaging, slap everyone on the back jokester like that nitwit who coaches the Dolphins or any of the other younger skinny geans wearing doofuss head coaches who play grab *** with the press, Belichick is not like that.

You want to see how he really is; watch him on the 100 greatest NFL players show where they go position by position with him and Collinsworth and Rich Esen, he's gregarious, funny, knows his **** and his football history, a true student of the game.

He brought the Patriots from laughing stocks to the most feared team in the league for 20 or so years, an unprecedented run.

Tough year for Brady. The retirement/unretirement fiasco. Then the collapse of the Bucs. Now he is getting divorced and saying goodbye to half his fortune. Should have walked after winning the Super Bowl. Sounded like his wife wanted him to call it quits. I'm sure he will be fine though!

According to Forbes and other sites she has a net worth of $400 mil and he has a net worth of $250 mil.

With so many just trying to make ends meet I could care less about 2 people who have contributed no true value to the world except for meaningless entertainment.

Yawn. Steelers got pummeled again. Still can't find many entertaining games, did like the Runback move by Dallas CB today, that was hilarious. That said, I just wasted 3.5 minutes of my life watching the Colts and Redskins. Holy smokes, maybe as I type this it is turning out better, but I lasted 1 Colts offensive series...................

I suspect there were other issues going on but if his marriage was at risk because she wanted him to start on his post-playing life, I would have retired. Is risking your marriage worth the glory when you’ve accomplished more than you ever thought you would? To him it was but I think to most people it would have been the opposite.

Have to agree about the Colts/RedcommanderSkins game. A REAL SNOOZEFEST. -- Al

A mediocre 3-4 Patriots team beat a mediocre 5-2 Jets team today 22-17.

If Zack Wilson is the answer, I don't want to know the question, he sucks, heaves up INT after INT backpeddling throwing off his back foot, my God what a stiff.

Mac Jones is not much better, he stinks, threw an awful PIC 6 that got erased due to a phony baloney roughing the passer call, just total weaksauce to call that, he shoved him to the ground.

The NFL outside of the Bills, Chiefs and Eagles is as mediocre as I can remember in a long, long time.

What a ****ty product.

Tough year for LA fans after the Super Bowl. Lakers are awful, Dodgers choked, and the Rams are playing God awful football. It's like Groundhog Day each time they play the Niners. The Niners can't beat anyone except LA. Nine in a row during the regular season. The Rams come out with exactly the same gameplan that hasn't worked for the last five years and get KO'd. Even with half the Niners out with injuries and the Rams coming off a bye week they get destroyed. Embarrassing.

Go figure. Skins down by 10 in the 4th, manage to drive the length of the field and score the winning TD with about 24 seconds left. Even a blind squirrel... -- Al

You should have heard those idiots on talk radio on WFAN (which used to be a good station but is now terrible), Carton & Roberts, talk about how they were going to run up the score on the Pats. Once I heard them and others bragging about the beat down they were going to put on the Pats I knew they were going to lose. Belichick could put me in as QB and the Pats would win.

They've drafted better the past few years and have some real young stars on defense, but as with the rest of the NFL, you live and die with QB play and Wilson is terrible, bad decision after bad decision.

Mac Jones is no better; that draft class could be the all time biggest bust for QB's with Wilson, Jones, Lance, Fields, Lawrence all taken in the top 15 and they are all pretty, pretty bad.

The key for any good QB is being able to read the field, find the open guy and get him the ball, it sounds simplistic, but QB after QB has difficulty reading the field and making the throw to the right guy.

Man you called that one, some teams just have other teams number, your coach was talking about how he needs to be a better leader; IMO, he really needs to be a better dresser and ****can those skinny leg geans, he looks like a nitwit in that get up.

Plenty of time left in the season to turn things around, I wouldn't worry about it vs the Patriots, they are due for a long stretch of mediocrity.

The Browns and Bengals on Monday Night Football? Wow. Less exciting than the cancelled World Series game.

Great post.

There was one game this past weekend that featured 2 teams with winning records, The Giants vs. The Seahawks.

I think that pretty much sums up this season.
