N.F.L. 21-22 Season (3 Viewers)

a must watch for me...
that will be the game of the week in Week 3...
Rams opened as a 2 1/2 point favorites...
the line dropped to even now...
I think Stafford is a big step up over Goff...

That Rams defense is lights out; the Bucs offensive line is very good, so we'll see what shakes out, huge game.

Then the Bucs come here, it will be a solid week of Tom Brady ballwashing by the local media, ****ting all over Belichick for letting him go.

I predict the Patriots will get pummeled, probably lose by three touchdowns, Brady and that big oaf Gronkowski are going to shred this defense, I'll go with 42-20.

We'll see what the Tompa offense can do against that all world defense, I'm not worried about the Rams scoring on Tompa's defense, unless they pressure the QB, they are in big trouble, their secondary is a hot mess.

The weapons Brady has at his disposal are insane; oh and SO, SO glad Gronkowski is not in a wheelchair like he feared he'd be if he kept playing, so he retired.................SO glad he's ok and is able to light up the league again after a year off down in Tampa.

The Brady and Gronk bromance has gotten old. There is no escape even during the commercials. Does Subway really sell enough extra sandwiches because Brady is in their commercials to recoup however many millions of dollars they must be paying him? I don't get how that works.

Tampa is a pretty good machine from top to bottom. I think barring any unforeseen injury, they will be there in the end. However, I think the Rams win this battle next week.

Talk about injuries - Pittsburgh - 5 D starters, makes it **** hard to rush the QB. Long season if these injuries are severe. Once again, any injury to our defense spells doom, our offense is just not there yet, too young across the board and too old at the helm. Big Ben was our best shot this year and I still enjoy watching him, but without the defensive splash, our O can't win it alone. Too tall of a mountain and he doesn't have the super star play on every play that is needed in this situation, he has the steady eddie as long as everyone plays their part. At this rate, I am looking at 9 and 8 or 8 and 9 and I am saying that after 2 weeks, yes I am!

Got to ask you George...how are the New England fan base feel towards Brady?? Love? Hate? Understand his move to TB??

I'm thinking Subway had to scramble to recover from the disaster that female soccer player visited on them, so why not go with the GOAT and Gronk? Subway needed it's customers back. -- Al

The fans around here have this "I'm rooting for him, he's still our guy" attitude.

Not me.

He shot his way out of town, wanted a 2/50 deal with no incentives or back loaded deals, they simply could not afford to do that without gutting the team around him, so he left on his own terms.

My attitude is thanks for the memories, adios.

I'm not rooting for him, period.

He's not my QB, I've been a Patriots fan since 1968, I root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

He's dead to me.

And those yahoos in Tampa who are now rabid fans, two years ago they could have given a **** less.

Total frauds.

Agree, it's about the team not 1 player, when there was noise about Brady leaving I laughed!! He's not going anywhere but man was I wrong, I understand there are very few players that play thier entire careers at one place but when you have a legacy and multiple championships how about some loyalty to go along with those rings??....I'm so bad I refuse to play any fantasy leagues as I would have to root for players from opposing teams of the Ravens...not happening 😅😅😅😅

regarding Brady, he said he was a loyal soldier all those years taking less money so they could field a competitive team..........he had enough, he wanted his dough................so he left, goes to Tampa, signs a two year deal, then after they win a SB, he restructures his deal, extends it, takes less money to keep the team together.

Umm..........What??

Sorry; total hypocrite...................

All this talk about the Ravens, Mahomes, the Patriots and Brady?

Meanwhile the greatest QB (and athlete in any sport) of all-time Aaron Rodgers obliterated the mighty Detroit Lions last night.

That is a Detroit team that lost last week, finished 5-11 last year and the same franchise that Rodgers is 17-5 in his career.

I give Rodgers all the credit he deserves as a player, and have in the past enjoyed watching him... but after all this past Summer's drama with management, stay? Trade me? Retire?? I could care less, even in victory last night as the reporter interviewed him and another player he seemed annoyed to take questions, Favre syndrome anyone??,

I'm getting sick of all these professional athletes truth be told, they have no sense of reality.

Gillmore has one more year on his contract, he wants more money/additional years, he did not get what he wanted, so he's holding out.

How about if you honor your contract, finish it out and then talk about a new deal?

So he's not getting paid enough; well you signed a contract, so honor it.

If he stunk on ice, would he be willing to give the money back?

Yeah, I didn't think so..................

Zeke pulled the same stuff on Dallas...
Jerry folded to him...
now Pollard out plays him...
at least Dak finished his contract...

Rodgers has complained for years that Green Bay did not do enough to sign players and he constantly wanted them to spend more.

There are 2 huge problems with that, first there is a salary cap and second he has eaten up the largest percentage of that cap for years.

It is one thing to pay a guy $33.5mil a year, it is quite another to have to listen to him constantly whine about it.

the key is...
you can have a mediocre career through your contract...
but the year before you become a free agent...
better lace up those sneakers and make a premier effort like you did in college to get drafted...
if your own team won't open their wallet...
1 of 31 others surely will...
very few of the really good free agents get re-hired...
and it's usually because they have a personality or drug disorder...

The key to winning in the NFL is you have to draft a good young QB and have him on a rookie deal for 5 years, the window closes after that as he'll demand huge money and there goes your salary cap.

The problem is the ****tier teams are the ones in position to draft a good young QB.

Look at the Jets; they drafted Darnold, he was not the answer, so they moved on and drafted another young QB, hoping he is the answer.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I think it may depend on the team and its culture. Darnold has looked good so far with Carolina, Zack Wilson not so hot. So is it the team or the QB? On the other hand the Pats QB appears to be doing a nice job in a team with a good culture.

George...I thought the standard length of an NFL drafted rookie QB was 4 years...and they could begin re-negotiations after 3 years...

I am not sure on the length of rookie QB contracts but the evidence is clear, once you pay a huge contract to a QB your chances of winning the Super Bowl plummet.

Those huge contracts that QBs get once their rookie contracts expire get all of the headlines but they never lead to a championship, Rodgers, Wilson, Goff, Watson, Wentz, all prove that.
