N.F.L. 21-22 Season (2 Viewers)

Tom-
That's a fair point but half the time teams call a TO in that situation to ice the kicker. So the delay in that situation could work either way. The Steelers would have had a major beef if the clock had actually run out! There was no reason to review that play. I agree about watching the NFL. I turn it on by habit but couldn't care less who wins most of these games. It is an enormous waste of time. And when I see 60-80K people at every game paying hundreds of dollars to sit in the cold, have some drunkard spill beer on them, and then sit in traffic for hours to get home, I have to shake my head.

btw: I'm unable to respond directly to your posts.

Probably b/c we argued too much in the past :) No worries. End of day, you are correct, I just think Tomlin was super pissed at that play b/c of the flow of the game as well as the Tuck/Fumble call being overturned. Good point on the fact that I agree, if they did get set up without issue and playclock had time, you have to figure Tomlin calls a time out anyhow. Just infuriating in general and I mean that on every game. BTW your Rams look like a whole different team with Stafford, had a chance to catch a good bit of that game yesterday. At least you are fielding a team that is worthwhile to watch, the STeelers are actually cringeworthy at times, I have a hard time taking them seriously.

Tom-
It's odd that you can respond to my posts but I can't respond to yours! But that would be applying logic here. I have the same issue with Mike Miller although Mike and I have never had any disagreement. Some type of moderation gone wild. The jury is still out on the Rams. Stafford is a definite upgrade over Goff but the defense has gone way down this year. If there is one thing that I've learned, it's that beating down the hapless teams like the NY Giants can be a false positive for accessing a team. Meaningless when they play the better teams.

What a great game tonight!! No doubt the Bills will be around in the playoffs but let's not crown them Super Bowl Champs just yet, Titans hung around all game and wore down the Bills defense, but that 4th and goal call for the Bills just crazy, to many things can happen on 4th down, tie the game, play the overtime and live to fight another day but Allen slipped and the Titans defense holds...crazy game.

Oh darn, what a shame for Bills fans.

A tough loss.

I feel badly for them, too bad, I hope they are all doing ok.

Goff is coming back to LA this weekend with the Lions. He is still pouting about being traded. If only he had shown that much resolve when he was stinking every day with the Rams, maybe he wouldn't be freezing his backside off in Detroit. Goff has a European tennis player mindset. Good technique but no fire to win. He has actually not played too badly with the Lions but they are so awful Joe Montana couldn't help that team.

Tua to the Deadskins sounds like an interesting move. Danny Boy is in for another big QB risk if that it happens. Watson to the Dolphins.

Except the Europeans win all the tournaments. This year, they won all the Grand Slam events, except for the women’s Australian Open and Wimbledon. At the recently concluded Indian Wells, Europe again.

Why would Miami trade for a guy whos future is very uncertain; I can't see them doing that, he could get a lifetime ban.

But then again, it's the NFL, so since he's not going to the Patriots, instead of a lifetime ban, he'll get a one game suspension and be able to serve it during a preseason game.

Fellas I have a question for Y'all....the NFL players are some of the most physically fit men in all of sports with so many luxuries of medicines, doctors, training, etc.....how with so much advancement are these guys dropping Like flies at a church picnic??🤔🤔🤔 from knees, arms, muscle injuries and on and on....what gives?? I don't remember so many injuries back when I began watching football in the mid 70s but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

Because they are bigger, faster and stronger now, they are all trying to kill each other out there, bad things happen when big bodies collide.

is was gonna ask...
what has happened to the "pass was uncatchable" call?
is it still a rule or is it just never called?
as I am watching the Broncos/Browns game and saw an OPI call on a pass at least a yard out of bounds...
but I just found this online...thought I would share...as I didn't know this...

The pass being uncatchable has no bearing on the ruling of pass interference. Any blocking down field by an offensive player is Offensive Pass interference if the ball crosses the line of scrimmage. A defensive player must avoid contact with a receiver who is no longer a potential blocker.

They are bigger and faster but I think a big reason is they don't really practice hard anymore. Starters don't play at all or very little in preseason. There are no more two a days and little contact in practice. With the latest CBA teams can only practice in pads 11 times during the season. Coaches were vehemently against this but the current day corporate rat owners couldn't care less about the game on the field. Players are basically doing walk throughs all week and trying to go all out on game days.

I remember Ivan Lendl from back in the day. He couldn't win at Wimbledon and started skipping it because he claimed to be allergic to grass. But then the press found him playing golf. The European players are often robotic. That doesn't mean they are not good. They, like "Country Club" Goff, can often be very good, but when things start to go wrong they have no plan B. They are like a pool vacuum trapped in a corner.

If my Ravens can win tomorrow ( and that's a big if!!) As Cinncy is a tough and playing good ball, we can go in at our bye next week 6-1....without our 3 starting running backs, Stanley, Peters, Forte, Boyles, Wolfe, and those are just the starters!!! At the beginning I thought we'd be lucky at the bye to be 3-4...even 2-5...so I'm happy where we are and with the bye the Ravens can actually have good news with a few players returning from the IR after the bye.

KC seems a shell of the team they were last year...
16-3 record last year...they may end up 3-4 after todays game...
Tennessee...which I think is a good team...
is having their way with them today...
KC only has 68 yards in the 1st half...
losing 27-0...
maybe they will gel soon...
but what a difference one season has made so far...

As a tennis fan, I will have to disagree because the best players today are European (although there are some good Canadians and Aussies) and it’s not just a handful but bushels of them, and they do figure out how to fix what’s going wrong in a match. There are a few good Americans on the rise but if you look at the top 20 in the women’s and men’s game there are no Americans and most are Europeans.

It’s time to abolish the Jets. I didn’t expect them to win although I thought they might be competitive. Don’t laugh George — and I can’t claim that I was high when I thought that. The Bears look equally inept so far.

Didn't watch the Jets game...but saw the box score...
and yes...Chicago looks really bad today...tons of turnovers...
I thought they were a better team...
Tennessee looked good...
KC not so much...

Nevermind..*** whippn by the Bengals today in every way possible, good thing there is a bye next week as the Ravens going to need 2 weeks to fix everything that is broken.

Be thankful you saw not a second of either.
