Terrible coincidence story: Redskins Qb Alex Smith suffered a broken leg (tibia/fibula fracture) in today's game. It is the same injury suffered by Redskin Qb Joe Theismann 33 years ago to this very date. The injury ended Theismann's career. -- Al

Not really fair assessment. Ben played awful all game, they played very well on all sides in the 4th qtr and they have the weapons as evidenced on the final drive. The penalties were blatant. I don't feel bad for the JERKOFF JAGS in anyway. They are the most brash rude defense out there and they got their rear ends handed to them for a quarter, tough crap. The flags were not even arguable, if you are that blatant , they deserve to get thrown and I think the officiating crew did a good job,. they were not ticky tack fouls, hell, on one of the final plays, the announcers were even laughing as they indicated that they could not find a Jax defender NOT holding! End of day, the Steelers pulled it out and they are still alive, it may be just that kind of year for them, they are going to need a little luck as apparently they cannot put out a consistent offensive scheme, we have the talent, but our execution at times is awful. I will take the win!

A win is a win...but honestly...it was a heck of a comeback...
“Just because the way that they won the Super Bowls, the Patriot Way, is that how everybody else is supposed to do the same thing?” - Lane Johnson in May.
After losing to Dallas last night, the defending SB Champion Iggles are 4-5, two games out of first in their division and they still have road games vs the Saints and the Rams.
Yeah Lane, go ahead and dump on a team that has been a powerhouse in a watered down league for 17 years.
Some people just never, ever learn.
Football is literally the only professional sport where a team can come out of nowhere and win a title, baseball is a 162 game grind and the playoff formats in the NBA and NHL make a cinderella story viritally impossible.
Only in the NFL can a team get hot for two or three games and win a title.
Exhibit A, the Iggles.
Exhibit B, the Ravens in 2012.
Exhibit C, the Giants in 2007/2011.
Exhibit D,...……...well you get the idea.
When the Jags marched up and down the field led by their tomato can of a QB and kicked 3 FG's to go up 9-0, I told my friend "I'll bet you two grand right now the Steelers pull this game out of their *** in the closing minutes"...…….he just laughed it off, then when Roethlisberger flopped across the goal line like Orca to win the game, he got up, walked out onto his porch and threw a deck chair 50 feet into his woods and went on a profanity laced rant that would have made any sailor proud.
He, like myself, just thinks the world of Tomlin, Roethlisberger and the rest of the Steelers...………….the game on the 16th is going to be something else. He'd better put all those deck chairs away by then...……………….
With the Redskins losing Alex Smith and the Eagles heading downhill, the NFC East looks wide open. Heck, even the Giants have a shot; they’re only two back of the Cowboys, who I would rate as the favorites now.
Mike, I can't disagree with anything you said. They will pay the best Wild Card, which could be the Panthers, Bears/Vikings or Seattle, who would probably beat the NFC East winner.
I think the Giants are shooting themselves in the proverbial foot by winning because now they've potentially cost themselves a QB or a good lineman in the draft as they've slid to the number 5 pick.
Rams and Chiefs should be a good game tonight. Interested to see what size crowd they get given the mid-week decision to move the game back to LA from Mexico City. And the game starts during rush hour in LA. That should be a nightmare traffic scenario. The Rams offense looks great. They can run or pass at will. The D not so much. They are going to have to outscore some good teams to make a run.
looking forward to that game...one if not both of thee teams might be in this years SB...
Chefs/Saints is my pick, final score 70-69.
The Chefs will roll the Steelers or the Patriots in the AFCCG, Saints/Rams in the NFCCG is going to be a shoot out.
We'll see.
Seen that movie also. Remember RGIII? I'd stick with Flaaco, even with his inconsistencies. -- AlWell the Lamar era begins in Baltimore, you'd think I'd be happy beating the Bungles and helping our playoff chances but to be honest I've seen this movie a few times already, I'm not a fan of running QB's, it just takes a few good defensive coordinators to figure out a way to stop Jackson, but at this rate it's a good possibility that Flacco and Harbaugh will be gone by 2019 unless there is a major win total over these last 6 games, so I better learn to embrace the change and get on board the new Vick 2.0 because it's coming and so are many changes.
Redskins just signed mark Sanchez!!!!! How is there not a better option available?
