N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

The Redskins released DJ Swearinger after he publicly ripped defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.

However they:

Claimed Reuben Foster off of waivers and ignored his repeated run-ins with law enforcement, including domestic violence charges, two days after he was released by the Niners;

Still employ safety Montae Nicholson, who was arrested in Virginia last week for misdemeanor assault and public intoxication. Nicholson, was also was arrested for driving under the influence in Pennsylvania in 2017;

And people wonder why fans are so frustrated with the NFL......

Agreed, all in good fun; I've said this a million times, sports is the toy box of life, none of this stuff matters at the end of the day...……...during this time of the year, look around you and count your blessings, there are loads of others not as fortunate as many of us, I get reflective this time of year for a number of reasons, Merry Christmas to everyone, enjoy your time with your families and friends, someday all you'll have are memories.

Well said mate raised a glass to those no longer with us

Snyder is a disgrace. A dark cloud descended on this franchise when he bought it. This team's games used to be sold out, decade after decade, with season tickets willed to family members generation after generation and a waiting list that took years to move up on. All gone now and Snyder's idiocy is the reason. Watching the games with the thousands of empty seats is rather depressing and no longer 'must see tv'. One reaps what one sows. Is it March yet? -- Al

Even if the Jets coach wasn't going to be fired today for a dreadful four year run, after today's abysmal performance he deserves to be fired. The Jets put the exclamation point on abysmal today.

Redskins offense has completely collapsed. At the half, they have had the ball for a grand total of 6 minutes, run 16 plays, and gained a grand total of 30 yards, and still trail by only 10-0 thanks to the defense. Redskins Qb, Josh Johnson, is 3 for 10 for 24 yards, an interception and a Qb rating of 0.0. I'm so proud.:rolleyes2: -- Al

I blame Sanchez! LOL. My Rams appear to be feasting on another non-playoff team. A win is a win though. It means a first round bye. Chicago's D looks scary good.

Couldn't agree more. When is enough, enough? I guess you can't fire an owner but the entire fan base should not spend a cent for tickets and merchandise until Old Danny boy is gone. Then they should have a parade to celebrate his departure. The only redeeming aspect to Synder is that he is living proof that you don't have to be smart to make lots of money. An inspiration to the idiots of the world.

Didn't improve much in the 2nd half as the Skins lost 24-0. Ended up running 40 plays, total, for 89 total net yards on offense. 89 yards. What a disgrace. -- Al

So the AFC goes through the Chefs thanks to the miracle in Miami and I get subjected to more of Folsie Magic in the playoffs, ie, a double nut punch...…...what a wonderful day.

Watch the Super Bowl feature the Ravens vs the Iggles...……………..and I'll end up smashing something valuable into 10,000 pieces.

And in other NFL game news, the Heinz Field janitor just hit another FG for the Steelers.

Raven's came close to blowing their whole season, but pulled it out by 2 points. Finished 6-1 over their last 7 games, riding a running game and defense. Hope it holds up in the post-season. Kind of enjoying this version of old-school football. -- Al

The Steelers did themselves in and I knew the Browns would blow it at the end. They almost had the Ravens, but the stars didn't align. Now I will be subjected to the Balto - Moron mentality that the Ravens have just been anointed SB Champions and they are a team of destiny, I kid you not that is the headline in Baltimore. Unbelievable, wake me up in Mid February when this disastrous season is officially closed.

And I guess I will root for the Chiefs, Mahomes is fun to watch and Andy Reid has been around a long time, would be nice to see him win one.

This season was just a disappointment as another Big Ben year is wasted. Our Defense couldn't stop a tomato can when it mattered, we blew it.

The ultimate irony; the Steelers finally knock off the Patriots and don't end up in the playoffs.

If the We are the Titans, the Mighty, Mighty Titans lose tonight, all 5 teams that beat the Patriots this year will end up missing the playoffs.

As bad as the Patriots have looked, they were a one in a million Miami miracle away from the #1 seed, not bad afterall.

As Parcells said, just make the tournament and see what happens, so we'll see...……………..

Someone needs to explain to me why the Bears didn't just roll over vs the Vikings today; by beating them, now they get the Iggles and Folsie vs the Vikings, who they would have destroyed at home.

The mind reels what the thought process is there.

Rest your starters, roll over and get the tomato can Vikings, now they get the Iggles, who found that horseshoe from last year and will go on a roll now, guaranteed...…………….something about NFC East tomato can teams that enter the playoffs at 9-7 then get on a roll...……...deja vu all over again.

The Jets fired their cigar store indian of a coach today, what a shock.

And that leader of men in Miami is probably going to get canned too.

Another year, another batch of AFC East coaches get their pink slips; lather, rinse, repeat.

And the Patriots reload and make another Super Bowl run under Belichick.

Unbelievable.

If the Pats play like the last 2 weeks, they are going to be tough, but if they let a team like the Ravens, Colts or Chargers hang around...…...bad news, same goes for the Chiefs. With the game plan and talent of both teams, they should meet in the AFC Championship. However, if they sputter and start and don't play like championship teams, watch out. The Ravens are about the luckiest SOB's on the field right now and the defense is tough. I just hope the better teams make it so we have a helluva SB - any of the 4 Pats, Rams, Saints or Chiefs.

Maybe hoping the Rams would lose and they would have gotten a first round bye. Unfortunately for the Artic Bears, the Rams were playing the Niners. Kirk Cousins is a real piece of work. He is something like 4-25 against teams with a winning record. And they are paying him tens of millions.

Further to Combat's post, the Bears couldn't assume that Philly would lose to Washington. Getting the number 2 seed was a long shot but one worth taking. I liked the approach that they took in yesterday's game. Same with the Cowboys who had nothing on the line; they just wanted to win the game.
