N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

Just want to put this out there for the forum members now...we all have likes and dislikes in all types of activities, and I certainly know this is a open forum for all those to leave posts, comments but at this stage if you're hating the NFL for whatever reasons then this thread won't interest you in the least, basically folks talking NFL games, plays, flags, and such, let those who enjoy the sport and thread enjoy it...

Didn't enjoy the first game mate 500+ yards and 48 points but enjoyed last Qtr go SAINTS 👍

Didn't enjoy the first game

Ravens offense and defense both showed up today, not sure what competition the Bill's are so either way a win is a win, on to Cinncy.

Green Bay vs Chicago . . . . An instant classic . . . . 4th biggest comeback in Packer history . . . . Go Pack!

And Cleveland still hasn't won a game since December 24, 2016...............

I give their fans credit for sitting through that game in those conditions. They looked miserable. I really dislike the NFL overtime. Much prefer the way they do it in college football. I would give each NFL team possession with the ball at the 50 and let them play it out until someone wins the game. At least in the regular season.

I'm glad his injury wasn't season threatening...

Rogers is the kind of guy who could have his leg amputated at halftime, ride out onto the field in a scooter, play the second half from the seat of his pants and march the Packers down the field for the winning score.

Imagine my nightmare if this guy gets the Packers to the Super Bowl this year vs the Patriots and is down four with two minutes left, we all know how that is going to turn out.

I'd rather see that tomato can Nick Foles lead the Iggles back to the Super Bowl in a rematch vs the Patriots.

Or Opie in New York for round three before I'd want to see Rogers.

Go marry Patrick and retire already.

Interesting that you bring up Foles and Rodgers in the same post considering they both have the same number of Super Bowl wins.

The Lions looked absolutely pathetic last night. The shots of their fans in the stands was the highlight of the game. So far, so good for Darnold.

Yeah, except for that horrendous first NFL career pass across the field off his back foot throw that got intercepted and returned for a TD, he looked good.

He reminds me of Curly from the three stooges in the short where he goes bananas when someone plays pop goes the weasel in the pocket, talk about happy feet.

As far as the other Monday night games goes, either the Rams are really good or the Raiders are really bad!

Why is Matthew Stafford making $27 million a year? He might have a strong arm but it looks to me like he just chucks the ball around and hopes for the best.

If the NFL is going to insist on TNF, they really need to advertise it better. I NEVER remember that it is on and last night was a perfect example. Completely forgot that there was TNF. Came across the game when switching channels just before the 1st half ended. Turns out I would have liked to have seen this game. I came in with the Ravens trailing 28-7 and was rather shocked, having no idea how the Ravens dug such a hole for themselves. Watched the rest of the game but still think the NFL needs to do a better job getting the message out to folks like me that just can't seem to remember that the NFL now claims Thursday night, along with Sundays and Mondays. TNF is simply, IMHO, a night too far. -- Al

I have been watching the Steelers since 1973 and have never seen them play defense as bad as they are now. In their last two home games they have scored a combined 84 points. They have lost both games. Patrick Mahomes wasn't even challenged, a guy making his third start.

ok, Steelers Defense sucks! GDIT, what a dumpster fire of a game. Ridiculous home opener. Not taking away from the Chiefs QB, kid threw 6 td passes. But GDIT I say again, what a terrible football year so far in my household.

After the Skins impressive win against the Cards on opening day, I expected a better showing than the uninspired 21-9 loss today against Indy. Then I see that the Cards lost to the Rams 34-0 today, so now I'm thinking that the Skins win against the Cards was sort of meaningless as the Cards have only scored 6 points in 2 games. Now I'm also thinking that it's going to be another long football season in DC. :rolleyes2: -- Al

Tom:

It seems like the Steelers' defense has been going downhill ever since LeBeau left.

Hard to not agree. We had a long string of talent and I thought they had it back with Shazier and then of course the injury. Just seems we just plain old suck on that side of the ball. We need a "killer" on that side of the ball and we just don't have it. We have Bud Dupree who can't seem to not line up in the neutral zone, we have Bostic who I feel is a step slow along with Williams, same issue. We have 2 corners Hilton and Burns who can't tackle a tissue. We have an old safety who is past his prime in Burnett (sorry I like him but he looks slow) and a young one in Davis who can't seem to be in position when it counts, I have never seen a strong safety so out of position. The only bright spots are the D Line (Heyward and Tuitt and Watt (even though he is a linebacker, he is a consistent rush and tackle) and they look like they are exhausted they are on the field so much in the first 2 games.

The only bright side was Ben looked a hundred times better, BUT Offense penalties were drive killers and he still can't hit a deep ball, I wonder if that elbow is worse than he lets on.

On a lighter note, watching a 6 foot 5 "slow white guy" run for his life for that last touchdown was almost amusing. One thing I could not understand on that drive is why we took so much time. I feel like there was no sense of urgency from the sideline or Ben. End of day, we are just off and it is looking to be a long season. Patriots looked the same way too, part of me wonders if these other younger, hungrier teams have figured us out and the veteran perennial powerhouses are fading.

Tom...get Polamalu back and you'll be all right...^&grin...those were the good old days...he was fun to watch...

After 2 games....the Rams certainly look good, the Bengals lead the AFC North at 2-0, the Jags look to be the new AFC power house, Tampa bay with Fitzpatrick are killing it!! And the Shocker...the Browns could be 2-0 if not for thier kicker missing some FG attempts.
