The NBA needs to look at the rules for suspending players in the playoffs. It's ridiculous that star players are being thrown out of games for some roughhousing. I'm no fan of Brooks on the Grizzlies who is an idiot, but he shouldn't be thrown out for what looked like an inadvertent blow. Let them play. In the old days, these guys would take your head off on a fast break. Ask Kurt Rambis. The players took care of it on the court. Now we live in a society of endless victimhood with replays, questioning officiating, and throwing players out of games.

The Lakers survived a close one last night winning in OT despite AD having an awful game. That must be sobering for Memphis. They lost when AD had a subpar game. Now it's 3-1. That might be the knockout blow for a young Memphis team. Memphis is the #2 seed in the west but they have been outplayed in this series. It's not over until it's over, though.

I'm no fan of LeBron but rewatching the finish and OT of the game last night, he put the Lakers on his back. That was a Kobe or Magic type performance with the season on the line. He is like an unstoppable freight train when he decides to drive to the hoop. And the charge he took from Morant was off the rails. I've never seen a play like that outside the WWE.

Quite a choke job by the Bucks. The number one seed goes down to the number eight in five games. Only happened a few times in NBA history.

The Lakers absolutely destroyed Memphis last night. That was like old times with Jack Nicholson in the front row while the Lakers dismantled the Grizzlies. Old Jack hasn't been at a game in forever. He looked good at 86. AD was the big eraser. The Lakers get to rest now and await the winner of the Kings and Warriors.

I can see the Lakers making it to the WC Finals although they do have a shot against their ultimate opponent. I see the Knicks making it to the EC Finals. Knicks were 3-1 against the Celtics this year but 2-4 against the 76ers so they have a shot to get to the Finals.

A ridiculous 93 three-point attempts in the Warriors-Kings game. It was like an NBA all-star game. I like the Lakers' chances against Golden State.

Tough day yesterday for the home teams in the NBA and NHL playoffs. They went 0-4 including 0-3 in game 7. The Boston Bruins had a soul crushing loss after leading with less than a minute to go. They finished the season as the best team in NHL history but are done in one.

The Lakers caught a break getting the extra rest before game one. A really weird series with the Warriors. Golden St. has one offensive mode. Fire up the threes. Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history but it is hard to win in the playoffs with only three-point shots. The Lakers aren't even covering Green and Looney. AD is the most important player on the court. He is unstoppable when he is healthy and focused. Granted that is not every game.

The Lakers were massacred last night. AD took the night off. He looked sleepy. I always say, though, if you are going to lose, then lose big. It seems like every time an NBA teams gets blown out that they come back and play well in the next game.

Even the fans/owners are flopping in the NBA. A ridiculous technical on Jokic when the Suns owner went down like JFK on the Zapruder film after he got nudged. And don't the refs control the timing of the inbound? How does a player rush to inbound the ball because an opponent has fallen into the crowd?

Who knew the Lakers chances would be bolstered by Lonnie Walker? He was on fire in the clutch last night. Huge win for the Lakers. I don't think they win another one on the road.

Huge night for the Florida sports fans. All six of them. The Heat knocked off the Knicks and the Panthers finished off Toronto in the NHL.

Great; so not one but two #8 seeds advance to the Conference finals in their respective sports.

So what's the point of the regular season then? Just futz around and make the playoffs, then turn on a switch and go on a run.

What a farce.

The Lakers made some great trades down the stretch. Something that almost never works. They were arguably the best team over the last twenty games or so of the regular season. It's the same deal in most sports. In the NHL, it's been a decade since the team with the best record won the Cup.

The Lakers played hard all year long, they had injuries to deal with; as is often the case, it's not how you start, it's how you finish.

They did what the Celtics could not do last year; take out the Warriors.

I'm thinking either a 76ers/Lakers or Heat/Lakers final, with LA winning it all.

The two headed monster of Davis/James is better than any of the 4 remaining teams.

As far as the NHL, the curse of the presidents trophy lives on, winning it is a sure fire way to get bounced.

Welp, happy to be wrong; when the 76ers were up 3-2, I thought they had it.................when they were up 9 today, thought they had it.

Nope.

And nope.

If Harden was the shooter, JFK would have died from natural causes.

Same 4 teams as 2020, that foolish bubble tournament that the Lakers won.

We'll see how this one plays out.

Have always been a Laker fan and AD is just unreal when he is on, he really dominates a game. Unfortunately for me, I am not a Lebron fan. Never have been and that is saying nothing about his obvious ability. I think he is one of the greatest to ever play and I respect his ability, just not a fan and I can't get there. I want the Lakers to win, just wish it was on someone else's back.

I haven't seen Denver play since the days of Dan Issel. So no idea on how that series will go. Another Lakers-Celtics matchup would be great, though. I can't see the Heat winning in the East.

Butler can carry a team, they dispatched the best team in the East with ease, if he goes off, they have a good shot at winning.

I'm sure the networks would love a Lakers/Celtics, Lakers/Heat, Nuggets/Celtics final.

Heat/Nuggets; not so much.
