Welp, happy to be wrong; when the 76ers were up 3-2, I thought they had it.................when they were up 9 today, thought they had it.

Nope.

And nope.

If Harden was the shooter, JFK would have died from natural causes.

Same 4 teams as 2020, that foolish bubble tournament that the Lakers won.

We'll see how this one plays out.

I had almost forgotten about Doc Rivers struggles in game sevens until he was fired today. He has lost an incredible 10 game sevens and five in a row.

Very weird but entertaining game last night. The Lakers got run out of the building and outclassed in the first half. They made adjustments and got back in the game. Still lost but signs of hope. AD had big numbers but he got roasted in the first half. Particularly on the boards. No hustle.

I turned off the Celts-Heat game at halftime thinking Boston was going to blow them out. It looked like the Harlem Globetrotters vs Washington Generals. They were running circles around them only to find out Miami somehow won. A Miami-Denver finals might be good basketball but lousy TV. Hoping the Lakers stumbled on an answer for Denver in the second half of game one. Putting some bigger bodies in the lineup and letting AD roam the paint instead of covering Jokic. The game flipped when they did that in game one.

I still can't figure out how the Heat scored 46 points in the third quarter, all the while the brain dead Celtics coach did not call a time out to stop the momentum.

Imagine the Heat taking out both the #1 and #2 seed in the East; it could very well happen.

It's like this team learned nothing from their trip to the finals; imagine they are 4-4 so far in the playoffs at home, pathetic.

The Lakers are toast after last night absent a miracle. It's unfortunate because this is a winnable series, but AD is taking off every other game and LeBron looks gassed. When LeBron starts settling for the three pointers, he becomes a liability. Still there was a point when it looked like the Lakers might not even make the playoffs. I think the series goes six games, but the Lakers are not winning four out of five.

LeBron is starting to look old or it could be the altitude. I think LA wins both at home.

While I am really happy that San Antonio won the rights to the No. 1 pick in the lottery I think Spurs fans need a reality check.

This isn’t 1987 when they drafted David Robinson or even 1997 when they drafted Tim Duncan.

Victor Wembanyama will leave the Spurs as soon as his rookie contract is up if they are not in contention.

The only thing more meaningless than loyalty in the NBA is the NBA salary cap.

The Lakers are -41 when D'Angelo Russell has been in the game against Denver. For whatever reason, Ham hasn't benched him and gone with a bigger lineup. When he has done that, the Lakers are playing much better. I can't believe the Celts dropped both games to Miami at home. Imagine if the Heat and Panthers both win the championship. The two lowest seeds.

They blew 12 point leads in both games, were up 96-87 and then got run out of the building from that point on.

The Heat are Jimmy Butler and 11 guys I've never heard of; oh wait, they have the corpses of Love and Lowry on the team too.

The Heat and Panthers are living proof that all you have to do is lay in the weeds all year, then make a push at the end, get hot, get lucky (The Bucks were without their best player, the Bruins goalie had a back problem that he tried to play through) and presto, you go to the finals.

It's a ****ing joke.

I'm sure the NBA and NHL are salivating at the ratings bonanza a Heat/Nuggets and Panthers/Golden Knights finals will be.

Unlike baseball, but like the NFL, I don’t think the teams really matter. The NBA Finals should draw well, although I’m sure the NBA would prefer Lakers v Celtics. I still think the Lakers have a chance to be there.

The Lakers still have a chance.

The Celtics have no chance, they are not winning 4 of 5 from Miami.

I don’t know about the NBA or NHL but in baseball I think it’s only happened twice in a seven game series where the home team lost the first two games and came back to win the series.

Great post.

Not a fan of either team but if you are a true basketball aficionado you want to see a Celtics vs. Lakers final.

I doubt the Lakers have much of a chance now, however crazier thing have happened.

If the Celtics win game 3 today they have a legitimate shot.

Lakers have no chance now. They could never get over the hump.

Denver is the better team. Not by a lot but enough to win. The Lakers needed someone to play big in the clutch and it didn't happen. Teams are 0-149 when trailing 0-3. Murray has played out of his mind. Sometimes that happens and you just have to tip your hat to the other team.

They could have and probably should have taken one or both of the games in Denver.

Ham was outcoached in these games. Plain and simple. He should have benched Russell and started Schroeder. Vanderbilt is supposedly a defensive player but he hasn't done anything and can't score. Should have benched him for Rui Hachimura. The Lakers transition D has been downright embarrassing. Common sense says that you post up AD instead of having him play beyond the free throw line. I don't understand that. Kareem and Wilt didn't do that. You feed them the ball on the post and make teams either double team them or they take their guy to the hoop. No player on Denver can stop AD near the basket but it almost never happens.

I get it in that Jokic is a great player, but what a lummox he is, big goofy white guy who is a great passer and shooter, but man, he looks like a sack of doorknobs, AD and LeBron are chiseled out of granite, he's chiseled out of a tub of goo.

The Celtics just got demolished, blown off the court, they basically quit.

They are down 3-0 to a #8 seed that lost the first play in game to Atlanta and was down 10 to Chicago before they won that game to get into the playoffs.

And now they are one game away from the NBA finals.

Celtic Pride died in South Beach tonight.

Both the Lakers and Celtics are getting run out of town. Terrible performance when it matters. Sorry, but LeBron and AD are PAID to not have this happen. Right now, they are worth dog crap.
