NBA Playoffs (3 Viewers)

that was a good game...#2 seed Phoenix looked frustrated in the last quarter...trailing by as many as 22 points...both Booker and Crowder ejected late in the 4th quarter for pushing Schroder to a hard foul while airborne...glad to see the Lakers starting to gel...can't beat home cooking...

Lakers getting embarrassed on their home court today...
AD went out at the end of the 2nd quarter...
only contributed 6 points...
Lebron had 2 points in the 3rd quarter...
behind by 16 at start of 4th quarter...
Phoenix is spanking them...

The Lakers got pounded today without AD and Pope. Anyone who thinks there is some sort of conspiracy to put the Lakers in the finals should have watched the officiating in this game. Awful. But those are the breaks. I won't blame the officials, those are the breaks.

gotta give Phoenix credit...they didn't lay down after 2 loses and on the road today...they showed up with some big time hustle...
totally out played the Lakers in the 2nd and 3rd quarters in every facet of the game...
AD seems like he might be becoming a little fragile...seems injured too often...
they won't advance without him...
Lakers lost their edge to keep home court advantage with losing this home game...
I'm sure Phoenix felt to go down 3-1 that it was all over...
kudos to them...

They showed the replay of the Davis injury prior to the Celtics game; he fell to the court like a bag of cement and blew out his groin.

He's a 6'10" piece of glass, I've never seen anything like it.

He needs to get with LeBron's trainer.

Or buy life alert.

Celtics are getting demolished by the Harlem Globetrotters tonight, that team whips the ball around 100 MPH to the open man and bang, basket.

Four all stars on the same team................and the stereotypical goofy looking white guy off the bench.

This team went from a tire fire laughing stock of a franchise to a legit title contender.

Amazing how fast you can turn around an NBA team.

Pretty ugly with Irving claiming racism and stomping on the Celtics logo. Some idiot throws a water bottle at him and gets arrested. Hard to say who is dumber. Irving or the fans.

fans can't do that...
you don't buy the privilege to assault someone for the price of a ticket...
gonna hurt somebody...

and if it was a Lakers fan...
I hope they would bust his butt unmerciful...
police charges and permanent lifetime ban...

Ron Artest will get them...

I watch professional sports for the athletes. Its all about the money and who can afford to stack their teams with All Stars.
I grew up in the 50's and 60's when many players stayed with their teams to become icons, at least for a few years! Now they are just money hungry nomads
who go to the highest bidder. That's capitalism so we can't complain.
Still when you watch a talented Athlete it is mesmerizing. Heh, I am not a fan of Irving or James for their personalities but I enjoy what they can do physically.
Irving has such body control and James has the strength and stamina that is enviable.
Personally I enjoy watching my nine year old grandson play basketball more than a pro game. He has shocked his family with his talent and focus. He is pretty big
for his age but unless he reaches at least 6' 3" he might not even make his High School team. The athletes keep getting taller and stronger.

I thought a Nets/Laker finals would be interesting but with AD out that probably won't happen. I don't think the Nets are a shoo in but when the big three are clicking
its tough to see anyone beating them.
Being a New Yorker I tried to root for the Knicks but the owners suck so I moved to the Nets.
I remember the glory days of the Knicks with Ewing, Reed, Frasier, Monroe, Bradley, Debuscher and so many others.

I don't think anyone can beat Brooklyn in a 7 game series...
last night their big 3 scored 104 points by themselves...
that's strong...
congrats to their organization for getting the 3 stars on their team...

It's a push...............two morons.

Irving really boned the Celtics, cost them a lottery pick, bailed on them during the playoffs, then he left town, this after holding a press conference claiming he was going to resign here...................he thinks the world is flat.

Just like his head.

That Nets team is loaded, I'll give them that, would like to see them vs the Sixers in the Conference finals.

Not to make light of it, but him stampeding into the stands to demolish some moron of a fan was classic, only topped by the Bruins back in the 1970's going into the stands at MSG and Mike Millbury pummeling some boob with his shoe.............imagine if that happened today, the players would all get sued.

Reminded me of the scene from Slapshot when a fan hits one of the Hansen brothers with an object, clocks some guy, his brother says, "No not him, that guy" so he knocks that guy out too.......................

The whole NBA has devolved into Kabuki Theater, from the taunting amongst the players, the pushing/shoving act tough guy nonsense, post shot stare downs, over the top celebrations after making a basket in a game where there were 267 points scored, the play acting creating fake fouls, the incessant screaming/whining at the officials, multi-millionaire victimhood, then the players all hug after the game,

There is some serious play acting going on here.

The NBA is on the level as the WWE at this point; the rivalries and the game itself from the 70's/80's/90's is long gone, it's nothing but a shadow of it's former self, which is why NBA basketball for me is a distant 4th on my professional sports watching list.

I'd go NFL, NHL., MLB, College Football, College Basketball, the Olympics Summer and Winter, World Cup soccer.................................NBA basketball.

Fans on talk radio today are whining about the logo stomping; tell you what, don't get blown out at home in the playoffs and no one will stomp on the logo.

I tuned in for Bruins playoff talk, game two tonight, who cares about a logo being stomped on.

Sensitive babies.

There was another fan incident yesterday, in the Wizards 76ers game. Fans seem to be misbehaving lately, perhaps due to being cooped up. However, this doesn’t excuse the behavior.

close one so far tonight for Game 5 in Phoenix...
Lakers down by 30 at halftime...
Lebron's shoulders are not as broad as he thinks...
Laker's season was ruined by injuries...

The Celtics got closed out by the Harlem Globetrotters tonight.............Embiid is hurt now too, greasing the skids for the Nets to get to the finals.

Nuggets blow a huge lead, tie it, then have a lead and blow it in the first OT; those two teams might score a combined 300 points tonight.

The drop off from Davis to the hot garbage left on the roster is massive.

It's hard to win back to back titles with two players and ten cardboard cut outs.

If you are going to lose, then lose big. I haven't seen the Lakers beatdown like since the famous Memorial Day Massacre in finals. For whatever reason, after a team is blown out and embarrassed, they usually bounce back with a good effort. So I'm holding out hope the Lakers even it up in game six and AD is ready for game seven.

Ainge is out as president of basketball operations, Stevens is out as coach, moving to the front office, so they are in the market for a new coach.

Aside from Brown, Tatum and Williams, they should be in the market for nine other players too.....................

Two things have defined these playoffs, injuries and blowouts. Davis, Embid, (possibly Chris Paul) etc. have all lost games due to injury. The last 6 games have seen teams lose by an average of 15 points.

Both of these things do not bode well for the NBA.

If the Lakers were not in the playoffs, would you watch?

IF they get eliminated, will you still watch the playoffs?

I watch NFL, NFL and MLB playoffs if the Patriots, Bruins or Red Sox are not involved; I will watch the Celtics when they are in the playoffs, but once they get knocked out, I tune out...................I also don't watch other games while the Celtics are still in the hunt.

I frankly don't care.......................
