Great, just what I need, another Duke final....................Yawn.......................ON WISCONSIN. ABD is my motto - anybody but Duke. Just sick of them.

Kentucky fans probably feel what UNLV fans felt many moons ago, one bad night unfortunately ends the run. Hats off to Wisconsin, they deserved wholeheartedly to win, I just hope they carry that thump into Monday night. I would love to see a thumpin.

Why no interest?

This is the first time Wisconsin has been in the title game since 1941. Who wouldn't love to see them prevail? I'm not sure they're an underdog but they may be portrayed as that.

Because I'm a Kentucky fan.

So I don't care who wins the game.

But you live in Bodton ^&confuse

Aside from the four Boston sports team, I root for the following;

San Francisco Giants
St Louis Cardinals
Oklahoma Sooners football and basketball
Michigan Wolverines football, hockey and basketball
Boston College Eagles hockey
Boston University hockey
Kentucky Wildcats basketball

Aside from toy soldiers and military history, sports is my third favorite pursuit.

But you live in Bodton ^&confuse

Guess I better learn to spell.

Aside from the NY teams, the only other teams I root for are the

George Washington University Colonials (my alma mater); won a game in the NIT this year. Yayyy!
Notre Dame - rooted for them since a teenager
Angels (my son's team)

No other crazy rooting interests for me.

Well, being a Wisconsin and UNC grad, as well as resident of Durham, my stake in Monday's game is rather high Go Badgers!! Destroy the Devils! Duke's D was tough against Michigan State, but Wisconsin moves the ball around well and hopefully get enough good shots to do the job.

Thanks Brad and George. Wisconsin outplayed UK in the final 5 min or so last night. Very closely contested game throughout. Looked like two evenly matched teams. Hope Wisconsin wins it all. Don't know if I will watch. Don't care to watch Duke win another championship. UK has won the championship, been to the final game and a Final Four in the last four yrs. Not a bad record. But you don't win for getting close in Kentucky. Congrats to the Badgers. Chris

Kentucky seemed to play scared last night; once they got up 4, they seemed to go into some sort of shell or something. They only attempted 5 three point shots, not sure what they were doing out there on offense late in the game.

Maybe the pressure of being undefeated got to those kids; let's remember that they are kids afterall.

Reminded me of the undefeated Patriots vs the Giants back in the 2008 Super Bowl; they played not to lose rather than playing to win.

What a shame.

That is the dilemma of an undefeated team, they eventually worry too much about losing rather than just letting their talent shine, it has happened way too many times in history, probably too many to count! Which on the flipside is why it is such a seldom seen achievement. For those following along at home ----FSU Football did it...............sorry just had to get that in.

Lots of talk in the local media, and national, about how UK played tentatively in the final 5 mins. Three shot clock violations in a row! :rolleyes2: And then repeatedly trying to draw a foul instead of setting up a play.

What a bad weekend. First UK loses, then U MD women lose in their Final Four, and then Duke wins it all! :redface2:

Oh yeah, my wife backed her car into my son's car behind the garage on Saturday. That was the first clue it was not going to be good.

OUCH.

Ya, the nightmare became reality last night, Duke wins it all. They deserve respect for a minute, then its back to Hate 101.

Yeah, congrats to Duke, such a plucky band of lunch pail kids who never had anything handed to them, they had to fight, scratch and claw their way to a title.

Free throw advantage for Duke in the tournament; 118 to 65.

Wow.

And as is often the case, they had the march of the tomato cans to the title, who was the toughest match up for them, Gonzaga?

I knew as soon as Wisconsin beat UK, Duke would win.

The NCAA needs to do a better job with the seeding, to have them play Gonzaga in the regional final and spent MSU team in the semi final is comical.

Duke did not win their conference, or their conference tournament, yet they win it all.

Awesome, just awesome.

Wisconsin had them down 9, one or two more baskets and Duke would have been done so Wisconsin have themselves to blame. The game had the feeling that this was Wisconsin's game but they let Duke hang around.

As far as winning the conference or the championship, in this day and age that means nothing. Look at Villanova; they won both and gone after two games.

All big teams usually get good seedings.

You may not like Duke but give 'em credit for winning it all.

You may not like Duke..................

I don't.

What I don't like about them is programs like UK get ripped from bringing in kids who stay for a year and then move on, plus UK gets ripped for recruiting violations, while Duke's program is all about truth, justice and the American way and they do things the right way.

That's pure and utter BS; Duke does it too, no need to sugar coat it.

The Wisconsin coach said so in his post game press conference.

It looks like it's become the accepted model at a lot of big schools today like Duke and Kentucky (apology to Chris on this one) and I just think it's wrong. I think the whole concept of NCAA athletics is wrong: making millions off the backs of young players who get little in return for their labor.

UK had no problem with Duke. Controlled whole game especially second half. Coach K should be worried.
Maryland finally came on late in second half to beat Georgetown by 4.
Been a good week. Chris

Maryland comes back from down 14 to win by 7 late against Rider. Rider? :rolleyes2: Oh well, it's a win for the #3 Terps. Chris

A win, perhaps, but nothing to be proud of. Rider was 0-2 coming in. Got no idea where they are from or what league they are in. They sure gave UMd all it could handle. Maybe the Terps just thought Rider would show up, roll over and go home. A true trap game that almost snagged UMd. Terps better sharpen up or that #3 ranking won't last long. :rolleyes2: -- Al

Huge game at UNC tonight with UMd. Typically slow start for UMd in this one, with the usual high number of turnovers, 12 in a little over 12 minutes. No way to win a big game on the road. Terps better get their act together as they are already down by 11. -- Al
