Harvard back flips off Yale defender during TD run and unsportsmanlike penalty from spot of foul brings ball back to 18 yd line. Good to see the call. Chris

I saw that play. What an idiot. How hard is it to show a little class? Harvard v Yale is one of those tradition games I like to watch every year but yesterday's game was on opposite the Terps game so I watched the Terps for the most part but I did flip over as the play mentioned above happened. Have to wonder what goes through the heads of some people. -- Al

My USC Trojans have hit rock bottom losing to 2-8 UCLA. And they get ND next week. That will be a beatdown of epic proportions. I expect the Irish to hang 60 on them. MD and Ohio St. was a great game. You just knew though that the Buckeyes were eventually going to win. Urban Myers did not look well. I can't imagine why a guy with obvious health issues would not call it quits and take his millions into retirement.

Why do I have this sinking feeling OSU is going to knock off Michigan and sneak into the playoff?

I'd be thrilled with Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Oklahoma as OU but that's not going to happen, ND has played the march of the tomato cans this year on the way to an 11-0 season, so it will be them, Alabama, Clemson and either Michigan or OSU, Georgia will not get in as they are going to lose another game.

It's going to come down to Alabama and Clemson anyway...……….

Yeah, Georgia is a solid team but no way they get in after a loss to 'Bama in SEC championship. Chris

I understand the Dawgs will not be the favorite against mighty Bama. But they haven’t lost yet.

Pretty sure this Alabama team could win the AFC South and NFC East.

Perhaps so. But everybody has an off day now and then.

Bama could also fall victim to Big Head syndrome.

Whatever the case, Im ready for Saban to burn out and retire!:)

I watched Georgia destroy my UK Wildcats. Just two different levels of football. Re the SEC championship, could happen as you said. First half of the Alabama game was fun last weekend going into the half tied. :smile2: Chris

Something looks out of sorts with Ohio St. They were very lucky to beat Maryland in a wild game. Urban Myers looked like he was going to collapse on the sideline. I'm not sure if he was having health issues but he looks awful like the stress is killing him. Michigan is playing lights out. If they were playing at home, I say they win big. But on the road it's a 50-50 game.

My poor Trojans are on national TV in prime time against the Irish. They just gave up nearly 300 yards rushing to one back from the finesse 2-8 UCLA team. They are going to get hammered absent a miracle. All the pressure is on the Irish but I expect a 40 plus blowout. Clay Helton is toast after this game. Nice guy, terrible football coach. The SC alums are praying that King Pete departs Seattle and comes back. The way things are going in Seattle it might be a possibility but I rank the chances as slim. The PAC 12 was an absolute disaster this year.

It is no exaggeration to say that Myers spent the whole Md. game in a state of disbelief. Everytime the cameras panned to him, which was often as Md. ran wild, he had his head down and in his hands. He should frame that Golden Horseshoe OSU had for that game.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Some big games on Friday and this weekend. The picks:

Ohio St. 31 Michigan 27 - UM has been the far better team down the stretch but on the road I think the Bucks find a way to win.

Washington 41 Wash. St. 38 - should be a good one. At home WSU has a shot to finish in the top ten.

WVA 51 Oklahoma 49 - a shootout. Last team with the ball wins. Home field is the difference. Should be cold.

Notre Dame 59 USC 14 - this going to get ugly early and then turn real bad. SC has stunk on ice. The Irish will steamroll them and by the second half it will only be a question of how many points Kelly wants before he exercises mercy. Helton will be fired before he reaches the locker room after the game.

Weather report from Pullman has snow/sleet/icy rain starting at 5pm local time through midnight. That might keep the scoring down in the Apple Cup.

The WVa v Ok game seems to be living up to your pinball score prediction. They're running up and down the field, unhindered by any defensive play. -- Al

A true defensive battle OK 52 to WV 49 with 11 min to go in the 4th. Chris

I don't remember when it happened, but somewhere as the decades have rolled by, defense died a sudden and seemingly unmourned death. -- Al

In college football (#6 Oklahoma vs #13 West Virginia):

Oklahoma wins 59-56.

In college basketball (#4 Virginia vs #25 Wisconsin):

Virginia wins 53-46.

My Sooners are going to finish 11-1 and out of the playoffs.

Can't see anyway they get in; if OSU beats Michigan and beats Northwestern next week, they'll get it, if they lose today and Michigan beats Northwestern, they're in.

It's Bama, Clemson, ND and the 11 game march of the tomato cans and either Michigan or OSU.

Bummer.

I haven't seen that much snow since The Shining. Fun to watch on TV, but I'm sure it was miserable for the fans. The Cougs never seem able to win the big ones.

Michigan goes three and out, OSU marches right down the field and goes up 7-0.

Never saw that coming.

I've seen this movie before.

I've played in a snowstorm before, a nightmare for the defense as the classic line goes, the runner knows where he's going, the defensive players are trying to adjust and end up slipping and sliding all over the place...………………….
