NCAA Football 2019 (2 Viewers)

The playoff rankings are going to be announced tonight. I think it is only a matter of what order Alabama, Clemson, LSU and Ohio State are in.

Next week will be more interesting after the LSU/Bama game. Particularly if Penn St beats undefeated Minnesota. They would jump into the top four but then they have to play Ohio St. which means the loser of the Bama/LSU could jump right back in. Good chance that the SEC ends up with two teams in the playoff.

If they are both still undefeated , I think the Penn State Ohio State game will be a defacto playoff game.

Huge weekend for college football. My predicts which are sure to jinx the teams I pick:

Alabama 34 LSU 27: Nick Satan and company are just too good at home. This won't be the SEC defensive struggle of bygone days but a higher scoring romp.

Penn St. 38 Minnesota 17:
PSU will expose MN and maybe run up the score to bolster their playoff hopes. Never underestimate the ability of James Franklin though to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.

With the way this current playoff committee views things, my bet is that lots of teams in the playoff picture are going to run up the scores from here on out.

Big trouble for the Buckeyes. Not that they are playing the Terps, but Chase Young is under NCAA investigation and may miss the rest of the season. Not good. He is likely the best defensive player in college football. In contention for the Heisman. Depending on the violation it could taint the entire season and disqualify Ohio St.

Your second statement is why I don't think PSU will run up the score. I think they'll win, but I think it'll be close.

Prost!

OSU has nothing to fear from the Terps. OSU averaging 55+ points against the Terps since Terps joined the Big 10. Terps will be lucky to lose by fewer than 60 points in this one. This game will be ugly, with a capital U. -- Al

Could be I was too conservative in my prediction. Terps will be lucky to lose by fewer than 80, at the present rate. OSU leads 42-0 at the half and it hasn't even been that close.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Terps rally and only lose by 59, 73-14! Film at 11... -- Al

Alabama can’t stop a nose bleed today. D? What D? ^&confuse

Again, not an LSU fan but they have to be No. 1 now.

They have beaten 4 top 10 teams. No one comes close to that, not even Ohio State and their "big" win against Wisconsin.

Seems like Minn is for real after beating PSU. They're under ranked IMO. MD, as expected, and UK lose. :redface2: UK playing a wide receiver at QB and is one dimensional, 25 yds passing. Can't win many games like that. The LSU-AL game was exciting with AL making a strong come from behind attempt. Chris

Overall a bad weekend for me , Cal won and Stanford lost. At least Texas won to save me from going 0-3.

I'm surprised Tua played and toughed it out in this day and age. With the NFL millions in the bank if he ends the season healthy, it's hard to figure why he rushes back from surgery and didn't look too great. Limping off the field at the end like he was hurting bad. Not a good sign for NFL scouts.

Minn plays Iowa, NW and Wisconsin. They could win out, be unbeaten, and play OSU. Miracles happen and they could beat them, although not likely. THen they are in the playoffs. Biggest Cinderella ever. Chris

Some how, some way Alabama will still get into the playoff.

In a weird way, Bama may actually benefit from losing to LSU. They get to sit back while LSU has to play Georgia in the SEC championship. So either the #1 or #4 team will lose the last game of the season and Bama can slide up into the playoff. Tua looked like he might not be coming back though. And I'm not sure Bama can get it done without him being healthy.

Saban rushes Tua back and loses to LSU. Then he gets hurt today. Didn't look good for a guy that was going early in the draft.
