Didn't really expect this final score. Felt sure the Pats would adjust in the 2nd half, but to be honest, I thought the Broncos 2nd half opening drive, using up half the quarter and getting the TD, was just too much to overcome. I just don't understand why the Pats didn't pound the ball on the ground in the 1st half when it was still a contest. They needed top keep SuperManning off the field and they didn't do it. Now all the SB teams are going to be west of the Big Muddy. -- Al

Well, that was disappointing. Didn't seem like they got in sync until it was too late.

What an *** kicking from start to finish, the Patriots were never really in the game.

Not at all.

Outplayed in every phase of the game, defense couldn't get off the field, offense couldn't stay on it.
They gave up on the run pretty quick, no draws, no screens, nothing, just awful, Brady really has no weapons out there aside from two slot recievers, no deep threat, no tight end, nothing.

By far the worst post season loss in the Brady/Belichick era, Manning threw for 400 yards, the dirtiest his uniform got all day long was the kneel down to end the game, they got zero pressure on him, as in none.

AND, once again pressure up the middle killed Brady, sacked and hurried by a defense that sucks IMO.

Watching SF/Seattle, it's night and day NFC vs AFC talent, either Seattle or SF will cause Manning all sorts of problems.

With Manning in the SB, two things are going to be important right off, the weather and defensive pressure. IF the weather is bad and the defense stands up, Denver has a rough time ahead. Lacking either one of those elements, Manning could have a big day. I still say keep Manning off the field, which both Seattle and SF can do with their running games, or expect fireworks. -- Al

This game is starting to trend the wrong way and it has been since the second half started. It's starting to slip away.

Just got worse.{eek3} -- Al
P.S. -- 49er's just got the royal shaft by the typically bad refs.
P.P.S. -- Whew! What goes around, comes around.
P.P.P.S. -- Unbelievable. I give up.

Well, Seattle confirmed that certain of it's players have NO CLASS. Go Denver. -- Al

This one played out exactly as I saw it: Kaepernick threw three balls that should have been intercepted in the 4th Quarter, and two of them were. The 49ers were the better team, and would have wiped the floor with the Broncos. Seattle was a one trick pony: a really solid defense who won despite of, rather than because of, its offense, with the help of one of the biggest home field advantages I've ever seen. Frankly, having seen how poorly Wilson and the Seahawks offense played, I think the Broncos may actually have a chance in the Super Bowl.

Another real disappointment. Sherman is a moron. Makes you want to root against them. Hope Peyton brings his A game in two weeks.

Brad

After seeing and hearing the post game antics of that lunatic Sherman, I am officially out as far as watching the Super Bowl, could give a @#$% whoever wins.

He is BY FAR the most classless pro athlete I've ever seen, million dollar talent, .05 cent head, ranting and raving like that in his interview with Erin Andrews, what a tool......................

His comment falls into the same class as Bart Scott's a few years ago. Makes Scott's look like a gentleman, actually.

That was a tough loss for sure and a sad end to a great season. I am still digesting it.

Sherman can talk all he wants, but that is not our franchise’s style. In honor of Bill Walsh and his legacy of class I say congratulations to Seattle.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Sherman was a bum. I don't much care for Denver (goes back to my anti-Elway bias), but Seattle is even worse. I will watch just to see if Manning can shoot Sherman and gang to pieces. Kind of a nightmare SB. I was hoping for an eastcoast v westcoast thing. -- Al

Go Seahawks!

Sorry guys :wink2: !

PS: it's just sport...

Shermans was ten times worse, Scott was talking in the heat of the moment after beating the Patriots, a team few thought the Jets had a chance of beating.

Sherman is a just a punk, no need to go there, flashing the choke sign was over the top, whatever medication he's on, he needs to up the dosage.

His "You mad Bro" comments to Brady two years ago was where it all started with me.

This league has digressed into some sort of WWE foolishness, all the trash talking after every tackle, every first down, every sack, every pass caught or batted down is too much for me.

Enough is enough.

Yeah, Surprising and stupid behavior on National television. I bet Erin Andrews wont interview him again ! GO DENVER !

Although this seems like rather typical behavior for Sherman, he's just the poster boy for what seems to be a current trend with athletes. It's not enough that they have make a good play; they want to humiliate their opponent. Sort of a zero sum game.

George is right about the NFL/WWE comparison. Every play is celebrated by some fool who thinks he has just made the ESPN highlight reel. Routine blocks, tackles, gains, everything. This players are professionals. Too bad some of them have no concept of what that means. Self-glorification is what it is now all about. I know I am a dinosaur but I really miss the days when a player would just drop the ball in the end-zone and return to the bench after scoring a TD instead of taunting the crowd or performing an act worthy of the Wallendas. This getting in the opponents face after a routine tackle is completely classless. Just wish some of these players could actually act like adults. -- Al

Loud Mouth Sherman's Seahawks vs. the all world Broncos??...I may work Late that nite to allow someone else to go home and watch it.

Sorry to George, Jason but at least you all had a very successful season...Sammy
