Loud Mouth Sherman's Seahawks vs. the all world Broncos??...I may work Late that nite to allow someone else to go home and watch it.

Sorry to George, Jason but at least you all had a very successful season...Sammy

Ain't we having a wager mate ??

I'll be your huckleberry Butch, hell I'll even Let you pick your team first, looking to add another First Legion SS troop, (64.95).. So you will have to find something comparable or a credit issue, but I wont need it as I'm looking to go 2-0 in our Super Bowl wages :)...Sammy

When Shermans skills erode when he's on the wrong side of 30, I cannot tell you how much I am going to enjoy watching this fool continue to write checks with his mouth that his body can no longer cash, because once a moron, always a moron, he'll continue to run his mouth long past his prime as he gets torched play after play.

As Bart Scott said "CAN'T WAIT".

Upon reflection, maybe we're being a little tough on him. He had just helped win the game for his team and put his team in the SB. Moreover, he's not a stupid person. He comes from Compton, which is a very bad area but graduated from Stanford and is apparently working on or was working on a Masters. Football is a pretty emotional game and I don't think we can expect everybody to be able to turn it and off at will. Yes, it was stupid but let's not crucify him forever for it.

Didn't Sherman play for "run up the score" Har-blow at Stanford? What goes around come around. I think Devner wins the Super Bowl unless the conditions are really bad. Wilson looks awful. I can't see Seattle scoring more than a couple of TDs. Pete should pray for snow and wind.

Evidently what happened was that Crabtree was trashtalking the entire game and Sherman got emotional. He is arrogant like most pro players but one hell of a player.

Putting that idiot Sherman aside - whatever happened to sportsmanship? The 49ers clearly recovered a fumble late in the game and a guy was seriously injured when someone took the ball from him. The Hawks should have taken a knee and given the ball back to SF. They did fumble the ball, but why even run a play? Acknowledge the refs blew it and give the ball back. There was no question the ball should have gone to SF.

So True, That Fumble was a "Game Changing" play that was clearly taken away from SF. No doubt about that one !

Sammy:

Good point, we did have a great season. As a fan I am very happy with how far we got.

We will be back next year, and eventually we will win another Super Bowl.

Alright Mate, it's a deal, you have the broncos and I have the Seahawks, so come on Legion of boom!! (Seattle nick name defense) lets hope the ol line that defense wins championships cause my SS fellows need a new pair of shoes:)...Sammy

hmmmmm, that is strange? :) ..not sure but I'll be pulling for loud mouth Sherman and his mates as its fun to collect toy soldiers but even better when someone else foots the bill:)...Sammy

Best take on Sherman's antics:

“I don’t know him at all. I’ve watched him play and he’s that kind of guy. I approach the game and I have respect for my opponent. That’s the way our team always plays and we win with graciousness. When we lose, we can do better. Some teams don’t always do that, that’s not their program.”

— Tom Brady, to Boston sports radio WEEI, on Sherman

I heard that entire interview live, it was awesome.

They asked him "Are you pulling for your friend Wes Welker in the Super Bowl and will you watch it"; his reply "No, I won't be watching it, I've got better things to do with my time, I could care less."...............

Outstanding.

The interview closed with him thanking the fans, being proud to represent the city of Boston and apologized for not getting the job done on Sunday vs Denver.

Unreal, what a class act, not bad for a 6th round draft pick, I'll take him over that cyborg Manning in Denver; poor Peyton, went from Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and Joseph Adai to Decker, Thomas, Welker and Moreno, he's really had it rough.

Good luck in the Super Bowl Peyton, long range forecast calling for snow Wednesday and Friday, then freezing rain on Sunday..................stay warm Frankenforehead.

Think y'all are making too much of this. Crabtree is not innocent here either. It was a few seconds in a very entertaining hard fought old fashioned football game although disappointing.

It's also apparent there's no love lost between Welker and the Pats. Don't know if Brady just had a bad game or what but he seems to be on the down side. Happens to everybody. Of course, a better defense would help too.

Anyway time to move on. It will be a good matchup: best offense versus best defense.

Jason,

I think they're probably doing it for safety sake, not to mention that 99.9% of all PATs are made. You will still have the option of going for two although if you don't make it, you get 6 points, not the automatic 7. Anyway, I think it's a good idea as they are virtually automatic.

Al/Brad/George/Sammy/Tom:

Any thoughts on the proposed changes to the PAT?

-Jason
Hi Jason. I have no problem with them doing away with the kicked PAT. It is a waste of time. I think that the 2 point conversion should be mandatory. TD stays 6 points and you either make the two points for 8 or you don't make it and stay at 6. If the NFL wants to keep the 1 point in play somewhere, maybe they should just award the point for a kickoff that goes through the goalposts.:rolleyes2: I can see it now, Baltimore defeats Green Bay in SB LXXV, 1-0.:wink2:^&grin -- Al

I think it's idiotic; do away with field goal attempts and kick offs too while your at it and eliminate place kickers altogether.

How about no more punting, you have to go for it everytime, now you can eliminate punters too.

The fantasy geeks win again.
