Sorry Tom, Ravens win by 13, and really it wasn't even that close by the 3rd quarter, Harrison looked like the guy that came out of retirement by games end, (those reserves played pretty good) and the the defense that looked like it was gelling tonite was the Ravens, and as for ol boring Flacco all the dude does in playoffs is win, hell of a game tonite and if T.Smith had dragged that one foot down another td would have been added. if you got tired of hearing Ravens last week Tom you're gonna love this week, gonna be a lonnnnnggg day at the office on Monday.:)

I'm sure the Ravens will be a 10 + point under dog next Saturday as well, I guess that's why they play the games...Sammy

Sammy say what you want to say but even without bell if the Td is not called back with 440 left to go, different game. So enjoy your win, but I hope the pats show up and put an end to the flunkies and as for your comment about Harrison, his stats looked just fine and he is certainly competitive with most of the line out there. Honestly, I would expect nothing less than the above post from a typical Ravens fan.

Wow…hahaha…how things can turn testy so quick…

I read this thread religiously…and occasionally post on here…I have seen every poster…including myself take shots at NFL QB’s and teams…some way more outspoken than others…

Some people can really dish it out…insulting coaches…management…QB’s…everything down to their cheerleaders and city…but come totally unglued when it’s served to them…

The purpose of this thread has never been sportsmanship…

So Sammy…good win…enjoy it…your Ravens…and Flacco…they totally outplayed Pittsburg in every aspect of the game…good win...

Rah rah your teams, give grief to your opponents, but let's not get personal in our jabs!

Sorry Pete, but just responding to some of brads comments, I'll try and keep my comments to myself.

Not sure what a typical Raven fan is Tom but no hard feelings, as the Steelers had our number there the last few playoffs it was good to get the win in Pitt. you know as the rivalery has become one of the better in all of sports (imho) the fans that cheer for both teams are passionate and basically love to beat each other more then any other team, again no hard feelings and I could never be mad at a guy you says he lives in the great state of Maryland!!:)...Sammy

Alright Sammy, your boys have pulled it off. Impressive win on the road. Congratulations to the Ravens. -- Al

Next week in N.E. should be interesting, the Pats came to Baltimore last season and put a beat down on the Ravens terribly as the Ravens were fighting for a playoff spot, but new year, new teams, if the Ravens can play like they did against the Steelers and pressure brady they will have a chance, should be a great game...Sammy

I'm scared to death about Suh today...overly not concerned about dirty play...as I think he will under the microscope today on every play...but even with the Cowboy's much touted offensive line...which may be a little over rated in my opinion...I think Suh will be focused and ready to prove he is a beast while playing within the rules...if they can't handle him...he can wreak havoc on Romo and Murray...

I hope the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys has designed some quick screens...double team blocking schemes...or short patterns to let Romo release the ball early...

the Cowboys lack of pass rush...hurries and sacks...also makes me really concerned about their secondary defending the pass...last year...Calvin Johnson had 329 yards on 14 of 16 receptions on the Cowboy's shut down corner back Brandon Carr...hahaha...a total embarrassment...their secondary has improved this year but is still suspect...

I think Bryant will see a lot of double teams coverage...so Beasley might have a big game...at 5'8"s...he kind of reminds me of shorter Wesley Welker...good patterns...good hands...yards after catch...

I'm out looking in my yard for a 4 leaf clover...^&grin

All I can say is 'Go Ravens!' as it will be a very tough challenge to win in NE against Brady and the best team in the AFC. But, as they have proven on many occasions, the Ravens are the kind of team that can pull off the upset...as long as the 'good' Flacco shows up. Essential for Flacco to play well. -- Al

wow...

Vinatieri is a weapon...

the oldest man in the league...

he just keeps hitting...

These first three playoff games have been dreadful, hoping Dallas/Detroit isn't more of the same.

And the NFL is seriously considering expanding the playoffs to 8 teams per conference?

The college games on New Years Day were all better than this garbage.

Just awful.

Sammy,
You have to live in baltimore to know what I mean not being a "homer" fan. Bottom line, Ravens D played a near perfect game (holding first half field goals). Steelers had shots, but no luck in any fashion last night, just not destined to win. I do believe the game was closer than it was, but again bad breaks happen, whether they are injuries, no calls, holding calls, etc, its the game and they all don't go your way. As I said all week, the Bell injury is why the games are played and just not done on paper, it was Baltimore's night. D Coordinator Peas called a perfect game for the Ravens.

And to Mike Miller - please do not mistake my lack of enthusiasm for the Ravens as poor sportsmanship or disrespect, it is only geared toward one guy - Flacco, I just can't root for him. Again, live in Baltimore and be innundated with him and the dud he is for personality and I just can't do it.

By the way, Cincy learned the same lesson - no Green, no offense! That is the sad way of today's NFL, the offenses are just not that versatile, they are built around superstars and one injury and poof.

It should be an entertaining finish as always are the playoffs.

George, I think it is just typical, but this year there are a number of key injuries to certain teams. At the end of the day, if not directly stated in my earlier post, the better game plans ruled the day. Even though I have sour grapes over Bell and his injury, the Ravens D were fairly flawless in the front 7 attack, shame on the Steelers for not throwing on 50 out of 50 plays!!

Tom Dubel...not sure what posts of yours that you are referring to...but you were the farthest thing from my mind when I posted...if you reread my post...you will see Peter deleted (edited) the post I was referring (quoted) to...it wasn't yours...

So how much longer before we see Jerrah on the sidelines trying to call plays.

Wow.

No offense to Cowboy fans, but you need to send Thank you cards to the officials for picking up the pass interference flag, that would be criminal in some states!

That was a terrible decision. The play was the definition of pass interference. -- Al

Dearest Mr. Jones -

I am pleased to inform you that your wire transfer has arrived at my offshore account. Fortunately it arrived just in time for me to reverse the pass interference call. It would have been a shame to have received so much money and have a call go against you.

Out of appreciation of your generosity, I will have my crew give your team two first downs on the next drive. It's the least we can do.

Sincerely,

Pete Morelli
