Am I the only one who is sick of those "running into the kicker" calls?

they called one on Dallas in the end zone for a first down...but when Bailey got tackled after his punt...there was no flag...but that was well before the $$$ transfer...^&grin

They were both running into the kicker calls. It's just officiating isn't very good.

Dallas gutted it out so give them credit.

It's just officiating isn't very good.

It's beyond not very good; it's horrifically bad. You mean to tell me this group of bozo's is the best the NFL can come up with for a playoff game?

Wow, just pathetic.

On the DPI call that was called then reversed; Dez Bryant charged out onto the field without his helmet on and argued the call.

That's a 15 yard penalty, unsportsmanlike conduct.

No call.

Awful; the Lions got screwed, no if's, and's or but's about it.

Sorry Mike, it's the truth.

That last drive was embarrassing too; 60 yard TD drive, 59 of it on penalties.

And like I've said before, they just don't call holding on offensive lineman anymore.

It's all about offense.

What a broken toilet of a sport.

:mad: Words cannot express how I feel right now. Its one thing to not make a call on something that is apparent but it is another to make the right call and then call it back in the way that these refs did.

sorry man...but calls are missed every game...on both sides...more than one call went against me...but I would never use it as an excuse if we lost...that's football...all I know is Dallas won...

sorry for the sour grapes...it was a bad call...but I had no control over it...

I'm clearly out manned here...not a Texan on the forum it looks like...I honestly didn't know there were so many Cowboy haters on here...^&grin...

my best friend is a Cowboy hater...I don't even like to watch the game with him...but when you win 5 Super Bowls and have such a successful franchise...you make a lot of "enemies" with other team's fans...that's my theory why there are so many Cowboy haters...

you can call that a game changing foul til the cows come home...but the bottom line is...

Dallas won...

don't worry guys...they won't win in GB...

but I already feel like we had a successful season...at least my friend can't talk trash about Dallas in December...or Dallas in the playoffs...or Romo choking...

that stuff gets old quick...again...don't sweat it...Dallas won't beat GB...

^&grin^&grin

You haven't seen nothing yet; wait until Flacco comes here next week and drives the Ravens down the field for several touchdowns, 30 yards at a time for DPI on Browner.

Mark it down now.

IN PEN.

I'm fully expecting it, so I won't want to smash something when it happens.

But I probably will anyway.

Because I'll be watching the game at a friends house and it will be his **** I'm smashing.

just saw the Ndamakong Suh interview...when he was talking about the pass interference call being overturned...he started crying and had to leave the podium...he was actually crying...

on another note...I always enjoyed ESPN's Stuart Scott...was saddened to hear of his passing...

Mike, I was actually a Cowboys fan in the distant past. Flashback to 1966 and 1967 when the Cowboys had the chance to beat the hated (by me, anyway) Greeen Bay Packers for the NFL Championship. The Cowboys lost both games (games they should have won), and by virtue of letting the hated Packers win, I became a Cowboy hater, which just happened to mesh nicely with the up and coming Redskins v Cowboys rivalry. Also, the fact that the Cowboys proclaimed themselves 'America's team' kind of put me off. All that being said, the Redskin-Cowboy games are my favorites every season. Having arch enemies makes the sports world go round. And I always have liked Rodger the Dodger and Dandy Don although I can't publicly admit that in the DC area.:wink2:^&grin -- Al

Mike, Not true....I am here and watching the drama unreel with you ! To say that this game was decided by the call reversal leaves a bit to be desired. Everyone is assuming that if Detroit got the call and a fresh set of downs that they would have scored a touch down on this drive .
What if they couldn't get into the end zone any way and had to settle for a field goal ? The final score would have been a 1 point win for Dallas.
I guess myself being a Dallas fan my opinion is biased but taking into account Dallas was down 14 points and after half time the games
momentum definately was in favor of them Boy's, a given fact based upon how much they scored in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
My gut feeling for next week is unless Rogers plays poorly due to injury, Green Bay will most likely win. In the mean time the Dallas
Cowboys get to enjoy another week in the winners circle............... :p

Al...yea Washington and Dallas is always a tough game...I think a lot of division teams purposely draft to win their division as they play each other twice a year...
I don't really hate any team...there are a few players and coaches I don't like...not to pick on Seattle...but I'm not a fan of Sherman or Carroll...I'm a huge Packer, Denver, Indy, Texans and Pats fan...but not too hip on any team in the NFC East...I was born in Dallas and went to SMU...I grew up watching the Cowboys and Landry with my Dad...so my heart lies there...

Wayne...I agree...

I don't think Dallas has much of a chance against GB in GB...home field...weather...Rodgers arm...

we're gonna need a couple of bad calls to win that game...^&grin...^&grin...^&grin...

but like you...I'm enjoying the ride...after four 8-8 seasons...this is fun...good luck...

On a positive note, to all forum members who are NFL fans....congrats to those whose teams are advancing to next weeks play off games.
Hopefully when the final games are played to decide which final 2 teams make it to the BIG GAME it will be done without any debating
due to questionable calls made by the refs !

NFL Memes

Just kidding Mike!!!!:):):) to be honest worked all afternoon and didn't see one play of any game, but I agree with you calls in every game go both ways some stand out more and some even change the out come, so be it, that's the way the game has been and will always be as long as there is a human factor involved, those guys make mistakes but I do believe for the majority of the time they do thier job...Sammy

Brad:

I agree with you, I just don't like that penalty. Especially since you can still absolutely crush the punter once you block the attempt. I would at least like a flopping type of penalty added.

-Jason

More penalties your joking right {eek3} ive never seen a game that has so many penalties and adverts, well over here 1 play 1 ad break
Still up there as 1 of my favorite games well in front of the joke of a game SOCCER (Hey Brad)^&grin^&grin

Speaking of more penalties, thanks to sportswriter Norman Chad, here's one the NFL has somehow missed adding to the long list of ridiculous calls; The Clear Path Foul. It is called when a wide-open receiver has the ball, is headed for the end-zone, and is tackled from behind by a defender. This rule can be adapted to apply to anyone running for a Td that gets tackled. It is brilliant and certainly a rule change long overdue. -- Al

Sounds like there is a good chance the Rams may be moving back to LA. At long last! It's incredible the NFL hasn't had an LA team in a long, long time. Now if they can get them back into those blue and white uniforms. I remember as a kid watching Roman Gabriel, Deacon Jones and the like playing under the California sun.

Remember them well. The blue and white Rams vs my blue and white Colts were some fierce games back in the mid 60's. -- Al
