It was very uncharacteristic for him and I like him a lot, but I agree... there has to be a punishment for it.
Generally I’d say suspension, but when you look week to week what doesn’t garner suspension, I’d say monetary fine.
The nfl needs a model penal code like the law. Set down the actions and set down the punishments for those actions and stick to it. It’s too wishy washy from player to player the way it is
What he did was dirty and inexcusable. He snapped as he was getting mugged down the field on that play, you could see him go off right before he drilled the guy. One thing does not justify another.
He gets mauled all game long, plus he's in the refs target as a chronic OPI offender, some of the calls against him in that regard (like the one today that Romo called utter BS) are bogus, but he's got a rep, so he's up ****s creek without a paddle as a result.
After the game he went off, saying he's been getting mauled for 7 years and is sick of it.
He's a beast on the field, linebackers are too slow to cover him, safeties aren't big enough.
He'll get a fine, not sure about a suspension, we'll see what the ginger haired stooge has up his sleeve.
