Nfl season 2017-2018 (3 Viewers)

It was very uncharacteristic for him and I like him a lot, but I agree... there has to be a punishment for it.
Generally I’d say suspension, but when you look week to week what doesn’t garner suspension, I’d say monetary fine.
The nfl needs a model penal code like the law. Set down the actions and set down the punishments for those actions and stick to it. It’s too wishy washy from player to player the way it is

What he did was dirty and inexcusable. He snapped as he was getting mugged down the field on that play, you could see him go off right before he drilled the guy. One thing does not justify another.

He gets mauled all game long, plus he's in the refs target as a chronic OPI offender, some of the calls against him in that regard (like the one today that Romo called utter BS) are bogus, but he's got a rep, so he's up ****s creek without a paddle as a result.

After the game he went off, saying he's been getting mauled for 7 years and is sick of it.

He's a beast on the field, linebackers are too slow to cover him, safeties aren't big enough.

He'll get a fine, not sure about a suspension, we'll see what the ginger haired stooge has up his sleeve.

Honestly, if we had the rules that were necessary in place, those kind of plays could get you ushered for the year!

OR, suspended for two weeks so he misses the game in Pittsburg..............:wink2:

That game can't come fast enough, but there are still two games for the Steelers to play and one for the Patriots.

Tomlin knows that, right?..................^&confuse

I think he plays in Pittsburgh regardless! I don't know what to expect week to week with the Steelers, we could easily lose both going into that game. They only seem to play when the chips are down so to speak, everything else at times looks like sleep walking. Brown is questionable for tonight, my opinion, if any doubt, don't play him but we shall see. I still don't think we can cover Gronk, so it will have to be a lot of blitzing to keep the game in reach. If we play conservative, Brady will do what he did in the champ game last year and just pick it apart. Having a "healthy" Bell will be interesting, but again, not sure what to expect.

Watch us lose to the Ravens and put them in the playoffs!!!!!!!

I wonder if the fact the guy is in concussion if they will treat it like they did the guy from Chicago. Who knows, it is so arbitrary, you never know. Either way, I am sure Bill B. is letting him have it, I know he is very strict on that stuff. I don't know the stats, but I bet there are very few historical Unsportsmanlike penalties against Bill B's pats. I admire that as a whole.

The other unusual play yesterday was Marcus Peters of the Chiefs picking up one of the ref’s flags and throwing it into the crowd in a loss to the Jets. The announcers said they had never seen that before. The Chiefs were frustrated because the refs kept calling penalty after penalty on the Chiefs at the goal line in the same series near the end of the game. The Jets, with an assist from the refs, were able to eventually score the winning TD.

Ravens looked like world beaters yesterday, so all they need is to play Detroit every game until they reach the SB. Never know what the Ravens will give you.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Hurray!!! I only had to root against the Giants for one game! Both Jerry Reese and Ben McAdoo were fired today!!!😎😎

Gronk suspended for 1 game..wow. that's going to hurt the Pats for sure against the Steelers.

The ironic thing is that someone will hire them again and pay millions. Look at the NFL and college teams that have doubled down on Chip Kelly. There seems to be no island of misfit toys when it comes to football coaches. No matter how poorly they perform someone will hire them.

He's suspended for the Miami game this coming Monday night, not the Steelers game.

Gronk has to get it through his head that he's viewed by the officials differently than other players and just accept the fact that he's going to get held, grabbed and generally mauled on every play and if he pushes off, he's going to get flagged for it every time.

It is what it is, hopefully he learns from this and has no further issues going forward with getting torked off due to the lack of calls and taking it out on someone else.

Very good, as right now I'm praying for a tri-fecta!!!! can the real red rifle show up tonight and beat the Steelers?? then possibly the Steelers look past the Ravens next Sunday night and be peeking at the Pats game and the Ravens pull off a upset?? then the Pats and Gronk give the Steelers 3 losses in a row?? :):) very unlikely any of that will happen, be one can hope. ^&grin

As for those of us with draft aspirations rather than playoff goals.......

Garoppolo looked very good yesterday. Granted it was against the Bears and it was his first game as a Niner but nonetheless he he looked poised and prepared.

Christmas came early for Louis ^&grin

You would have laughed. I was actively rooting against the Giants against the Raiders yesterday, and my son Alec just said, "who are you, and what have you done with my Dad?"{sm4}

I understand but your team is your team, no matter how bad they may seem.

Agreed; I sat through a 2-14 and 1-15 Patriots team as a season ticket holder.

You're a fan when they are good, you're a fan when they stink on ice, you don't throw in the towel due a bad coach, QB or owner and I had to deal with Rod Rust, Marc Wilson and Victor Kiam among others.
