George,
don't get too upset, once again Todd Haley with a crap 4th down call. I quit.
Tom, you're right - bad call, and now JAGS back on the move. And there it is.............bang.
End of day - Steelers coaching at critical times for lack of a better term sucked. JAX played very well. Not to take anything away from JAX, but if their defense gives Brady and the Patriots an opportunity to score 42 pts, I can't see Bortles doing that again. Steelers D was woeful at LB position today, the Pats probably wont be. Bittersweet ending to a good year, really would have liked another shot at the Pats, but not to be.
The way we lost kind of sucks.

Tom,
It was probably 2 bad 4th down plays that may have made the difference. And there was no D going on with either team. Big Roth had 5 TD passes. If anyone loves offense this was the exciting game. I'm sure Tim is ecstatic. And I'm also thinking that George is going to offer a very warm welcome to the JAGS going to freezer that is the northeast these days. There's next year. Something I'm used to with the JETSZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. At least my new secondary team, Eagles are still in it.
Sammy:
I would take Flacco and the Ravens' defense over Bortles and the Jaguars' defense. Bortles is just awful and Flacco has a Super Bowl ring.

Those two play calls were bad on fourth down, but to be fair, it looked like Roethlisberger audibled out of the play that was called on the second one. To his credit though, he had two great play calls on 4th down on two other occasions, 4th and 11 at the end of the first half and 4th and 5 in the fourth quarter, both led to touchdowns, great calls on both.
The Pittsburg offense hung 42 on Jacksonville's vaunted defense, Roethlisberger had 400 yards passing; this came down to 14 points off of turnovers and poor defense by the Steelers, plus that onsides kick was baffling, you've got two time outs and the two minute warning, just kick it deep and take your chances.
And for the record, the extended forecast is 55 and sunny next Sunday, so warmer than in Pittsburg today, weather should not be a factor.................
Tough loss Tom, a rematch would have been epic, guess it was not meant to be.
I watched the game...
and the stats don't tell the story...
Ben had 469 yards passing...
Bortles had only 214...
Ben had 5 TD's in the air...
Bortles had 1...
but I guess they couldn't run enough...
Jacksonville doubled them on the ground...
I would blame this on Pittsburgh's defense...
they just didn't show up today...
Don't disagree, they are not the same without Shazier, but the 2 4th down whiff when they were under a yard and a 6/5 qb weighing 250 basically has to fall forward............see what I mean, Haley is a donkey..... Again, with the way we were winding down, would not have mattered, just not meant to be.

You just jinxed it Jason.
Weren't you the same person who said
Come what may and the Pats will probably win but Bortles has come a long way this year.
I'm happy for Tom Coughlin, after the way he was treated at the end in NY.
A rematch would have been a lot of fun win lose or draw. I just think Haley is done, regardless of the audible and I don't think it was actually, there are already hints in the Pittsburgh press that Haley refused to believe he couldn't run outside. They ended up on 5 runs to the outside with a negative 8 yards. He is just inept. You know what is nuts is that even with everything going seemingly wrong, they were a couple of plays from winning, just crazy. Honestly, with the playcalling, the D play, they should have been blown out, the talent of Ben and the Receivers and Bell kept them in the game.
