The highlight of the game for me last night was after Pittsburg scored with less than a minute left in the first period cutting the lead to 3-1, the crowd was into the game the Penguins had a bit of momentum.

So what happens; that cementhead Cooke starts crap with Marchand, trying to screw with him when Marchand looks up, sees the Bruins are rushing the puck up ice, jumps into the play, takes a beautiful pass and whistles one past Fleury with about 9 seconds left.

4-1 Bruins.

Game over.

I don't get what the Penguins are doing out there, trying to get physical with the Bruins?

Play your game, don't try to be something you're not.

I am waiting for the Penguins to explode and put 5 or 6 biscuits in the basket.

Right now, their goaltending is a mess, as is their defense, so they are going to have to start scoring or else they are toast.

This series is far from over.

But that said; two down, two to go.

Nail on the head with this post. Your Bruins are playing their game, i wish the Pens would stick to their own. Unbelievable, but taking nothing away from the Bruins, playing well> We need a win, if not over.

Nice game from the Kings. They smothered Chicago's offense most of the night. Toffoli is providing a spark on offense. Fifteen wins in a row at home. They need another on Thursday to make this a series.

Miss Tiffany just called me, she's got three ducks for tonight's game, center ice, ten rows up.

She's something else my Miss Tiffany...........:wink2:

Well, Pittsburgh is toast. Might as well finish it in four.

Some things are just not meant to be, the Bruins are playing well, hats off to them. Pitt is done.

One of the greatest hockey games I've ever seen in person, up and down action all night long, not one but two OT's, both goalies played spectacular.

Have to give the Penguins credit, they played their rear ends off, pelting Rask with shot after shot after shot.

Malkin is incredibly fast, he's got a cannon for a shot.

Both teams have to be toast right now, we'll see who can get up for the next game, it's not over till it's over, been down this road once before.

Three down, one to go..............

Very Impressed with the Boston Bruins:salute::...really playing well...Very good defense and goal tending as well

The Bruins are a slip on a banana peel goal away from being undefeated in their last 8 playoff games, they are red hot right now, they need to end this Friday.

Have to admit that I bought into the Pittsburgh hype. Their ESPN fan base had already inked them down as the champs. In this instance, I'm glad to have been wrong although I wouldn't mind if it goes a couple more games. The Kings-Hawks series is going to get interesting if LA wins tonight. The Kings have been unbeatable at home which probably means that I have jinxed them. I did like the way they put a physical beating on Chicago in the last game. Penner and Greene were laying the wood to those guys. If the Kings can slow down the Chicago skill players and get anything going on offense, they are hard to beat. Kopitar is in a major slump. He is due.

Pittsburg played well in the first two periods of game one, then they lost their way in the third period and all of game 2.

They played well after about the 10 minute mark of the first period last night, had plenty of chances.

They have hit a lot of posts and crossbars, bounces have not gone their way, Rask has played extremely well.

Hockey is the one sport where one player, ie, the goalie can steal games and series for you.

Ken Dryden stoned the Bruins in the 1970-71 playoffs, that Bruins team was better than the team that won the cup the year before, Dryden came out of nowhere and stoned them.

Quick won the cup on his own last year, he's the reason why the Kings are where they are this year as well.

Thomas played great in the finals in 2011; hot goalies can stop a great offense, it's just the way it goes sometimes.........

I didn't see any of the Pens Senators series but after seeing them have trouble with the Islanders, I was wondering if they were overhyped.

The Kings folded like a tent. You can only go so far when you can't score. Their top guys like Kopitar, Carter and Brown have been completely shutdown in the playoffs. Incredible that they made it this far. They have scored the fewest goals in NHL playoff history for a similar number of games.

Yea, but they sure ruined my post season as they did last year also!

Very True....Quick again made some incredible saves...It's true that a hot goalie can turn a series but some offense is needed as well.......... Kings offense has been dismal....Looks like Briuns and Blackhawks....That should be a great match up for the final run to the cup.

The physical play with the Blues and Sharks took it out of the Kings. They looked tired in the third period. Only two shots on goal with the game on the line! And turnover after turnover in their own zone. They gave up the lead twice. That doesn't happen very much with Quick. They have to chase and punish the Chicago skill players for the entire game. Everytime they let down for a moment Chicago gets one back. The big scorers for the Kings don't look right. I'm sure Kopitar is injured. Brown as well. About their only hope now is that Kane beats up another cab driver.

Re: Nhl - Penguins roll on

Bring on the Bruins , Pens are playing Hockey the way it should be played again . Everybody is fit and the only worry is those beards grow so long they trip over them .

Have to give the Penguins credit, they played their rear ends off last night, right down to the final seconds as a matter of fact.

Their goalie was outstanding in the last two games, Rask was just better. On our local sports talk radio program before the series began, they had a host from a Pittsburg show on, he called Rask a clown and said he was a soft goalie who'd be exposed and lit up by the Penguins.

It's an incredible stat, but the Penguins never once led in this entire series, shut out twice, they scored two goals, Crosby and Malkin had zero goals, outscored 12-2.

On to the finals, where I am sure all the experts will pick Chicago to win, which is fine by me, keep doubting the Bruins, who are 9-1 in their last 10 playoff games.

Time to shave those beards Penguins.

Not only did Crosby and Malkin score zero goals they had zero points as did Neal, Letang and Iginla. And the icing on the cake was Rask making the final save of the series off Iginla's stick, it also looked like Iginla might have deflected McQuaid's shot for the winning goal ..... way to go Jerome, thanks for signing on with the Pens .....enjoy that nice big slice of humble pie. ^&grin

How ironic that Iginla deflected the shot that won the game and the series.

He could have came here, he chose not to, that's the way it goes sometimes.

How Malkin did not score with the whole net to shoot at is beyond me, it hit Chara's hand as he was sprawled on the ice, he flung his arm backward in an act of desperation and deflected the shot.

Incredible to think this team was 10:42 away from going home down 4-1 in game 7 vs the Maple Leafs, now they are in the finals.

Sometimes teams get on a roll, get hot at the right time and get lucky as well, aka, the New York Football Giants, the SF Giants last year and the Ravens this year.

Completely agree...The Bruins are to be taken seriously.....Play is very solid..They move the puck out of their own zone very effectively....very impressive...I did not think they would get this far.
