Stalingrad 1942-43 (4 Viewers)

I think we need some more Soviets including a T34 for the Stalingrad range.

A squad of Soviet soldiers emerge from the Traktornaya terminal building.

Hello Fmethorst,

A Pz.III from 14.Panzer-Division acts as a transport for a few schützen across the bleak winter steppe.

Very nice picture Frank. Did you just start this with HB and FL or have you done this type of think with other manufacturers you have collected?? and if so, do you have pics anywhere
Mitch

Your photo is so real looking i can see the steam their breath is creating.awesome.mike b.

Sammy, I am very happy with the tank riders. I highly recommend them.

Mitch, There are a couple scenes with K&C I have done and I've been trying to figure out a way to photograph a Bulge dio I have without disassembling it. I did try a scene featering the K&C Sd.Kfz.250 fairly recently but I wasn't satisfied with the results so I didn't post them. So to answer your question there aren't a lot.

Just ordered the FL Winter Tank riders...should be arriving this week....looking forward to them

Nice shot Frank ,
Thanks for posting , Looking forward to seeing what you come up with as First Legions winter line expands . Regards Gebhard

Great pics! I'm itching to get into the FL WWII scene but I'm holding out for the western front.

The closeup of the tank riders is my favorite photo of this bunch.

I am resisting the "winter range" of the Stalingrad figures, but I do clearly feel I am missing out on something great. :(

This photo set features an alternate figure on the right side of the tank.

Going through my book
Rommel's Afrika Korp by George Bradford
it seems that the 150mm howitzer was used in Africa
Is this correct or it was a different 150mm howitzer??
I'm counting on u guys to verify the accuracy of this
so i can buy one for AK. I'm not savy in that department.
Thank u guys
Maple Leaf

The 15cm schwere Feldhaubitze was the standard medium field howitzer of the German forces.

The Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment in 1942 was generally organized as follows:

Abteilung I
3 batteries of 4 x10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 18 (12 total)

Abteilung II
3 batteries of 4 x10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 18 (12 total)

Abteilung III
1 battery of 4 x schwere 10cm Kanone 18 (4 total)
2 batteries of 4 x 15cm schwere Feldhaubitze 18 (8 total)

Abteilung IV
2 batteries of 4 x 8.8 cm FlaK 18/36/37 (8 total)
1 battery of 12 x 2 cm FlaK 30/38 (12 total)

The units deployed to Africa did not have Abteilung IV (Flak).

Here is a picture of captured mixed artillery including 10cm Kanone 18 and 15cm s.FH.18 in North Africa.

Thank u my freind for info
So they were in Africa
It seems that they were painted three color camo
I wonder if FL will make a AK version??
Thank u again

The color looks like the original dark grey (RAL7021) oversprayed with desert brown (possibly RAL8020) to me.
