Things that annoy me (4 Viewers)

She's a knucklehead. Everyone knows it's spelled "I-G-G-L-E-S".
Seriously, though, the Phillies got T-shirts made up to advertise spring training, that say, "Phillies Training Camp, Clearwooter FL"

Prost!

Regarding the Super Bowl commercials, I agree about the creepy ones. But I'll post about 2 I liked, though I know there's another thread for things we like. I enjoyed the commercial for Michelob Ultra, featuring Catherine O'Hara and Willem Dafoe. It was clever, and I like them both as actors. I've been a fan of Catherine ever since her old Second City days. The other commercial I liked was the Ritz Cracker "Salty" commercial, because I like Aubrey Plaza. It was good to see her bouncing back after a personal tragedy (her husband committed suicide a month ago). And there's just something about her look that I find attractive.
The rest of the commercials, I don't even remember.
As far as the halftime show goes, it always sucks, and I tuned away to watch some "Big Bang Theory" during halftime.

Prost!

The Ritz salty commercial was excellent, Michael Shannon is an under-rated actor and agreed on Aubrey Plaza take.

I also loved the Bud Light cul-de-sec commercial, it truly captured suburban life.

Yeah, there was a great exchange in that Bud Light commercial:

"Your lawn mower has a smoker?"
"My smoker also cuts grass."

Awful beer, though.

Prost!

You make a great point about advertising, I love lots of commercials but I have no intention of buying what I see in those advertisements.

So only around 4K people have been deported since Jan. 20. And now they have stopped providing numbers. Presumably because the process has ground to a halt. At that rate, it would take a million years to put a dent even in the more dangerous population. A complete failure to this point.

I think that is a little harsh. Those removed have mostly been criminals or here illegally which by definition is a crime. That said, they are being slowed down by our own court system. I would not necessarily pin that on the initiative. As is most cases, everything we do moves slow. What is maddening is the speed, not the effort.

They should have known the system that they were operating in when they were promising mass deportations during the campaign. How about this? FEMA was supposedly paying $59 million to house illegal aliens in NYC. Why doesn't ICE goes to that hotel and find everyone whose rent has been paid by the taxpayers? I'm not impressed at all. There were actually more deportations going on during Biden's last year than the under new administration. They have actually released many that were detained because they lacked places to detain them. Unreal.
