Things that annoy me (3 Viewers)

Changing song lyrics or refusing to perform certain songs. Pat Benatar is apparently not going to perform "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" due to concerns about gun violence. You can't make that up. Maybe she is trying to get some publicity but does she or anyone really believe that someone hears that song and decides to go on a shooting rampage?

I could understand if she said the same thing about "Hell is for Children"..........................but that song?

I may have mentioned this one before; I'm pulling out of the supermarket/drug store/etc, etc and going left, the car coming up to me in the right hand lane stops to nicely let me pull out..............and five *******s blow past me coming from my right, not allowing me to cross into traffic, thus holding up that nice person and others behind him/her.

Those five *******s are the same ****heads who'd be torqued off if the same thing happened to them.

Show a stranger some common courtesy, as my pops used to say "It costs you nothing to be nice to people."

while I love that song...
it is a little creepy...
107.5 in Houston..."The Eagle"...
won't play it anymore...

it's a new woke age...the Karen's have spoken...

had a girlfriend years ago that called Sting's (The Police)...
"Every Breath You Take"...
the "stalker song"...lol...

I always thought it was a love song...
she thought it had unhealthy sexual deviant connotations...
what do I know...

"Love is a Battlefield" might promote a war. So she should probably not perform that one as well. That exhausts my memory of her songs. Hopefully she has some talent like juggling, or her shows are narrowing down. I remember some kid in high school signing Alice Cooper's "School's Out" after bell rang on the last day of class. Some teacher grabbed him and dragged him back into the school. Today they would lock him up as a potential shooter given the lyrics of that song.

The increasing prevalence of reckless driving. A woman in LA yesterday ran a red light while driving around 100 MPH killing six people including a pregnant woman and her one-year-old kid. Unreal. Absent some medical issue, she should spend the rest of her life in jail like any other serial murderer. There seems to be a major increase in these types of reckless speeding related crashes.

Its a great song, but honestly, does anyone care what Pat Benatar does any more? It is not like she is a hot ticket seller in the same revival vein as Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc etc. Notice how none of these bands have those same woke issues? You could argue on one Guns song , but if you actually read why they don't do One in a Million anymore is b/c Slash inside the band itself was never happy playing it b/c he thought it crossed a line in the 90s. On one hand, the band wrote the song about the hypocrisy of stereotypes, however, he indicated that he particularly was never comfortable being the messengers. Respect them for that b/c that is not being woke, it is being thoughtful, practical, pick the adjective. Axl woke up from his manic and egomania haze and agreed. Big difference between that and Pat Benatar's sudden conscience. As was said, I doubt her not playing that song will do anything about gun violence. I mean in concert Body Count still sometimes plays Cop Killer, there is a much better argument to be had.

Well, I can say one thing, she got a few headlines if you search hard enough.

NFL preseason games. As if there are not enough regular seasons games to risk player injury, they put on this charade. The Jets may already have lost their QB. The Rams don't play any starters in the preseason.

Weather forecasts, especially weather apps.

Most weather apps always list a 10% chance of rain in Atacama on a consistent basis.

Atacama is the driest place on earth. It receives less than 1 mm of precipitation each year, and most parts haven't seen a drop of rain in more than 500 years.

Hotels that no longer open their dining rooms. I'm not talking about Motel 8 but fancy hotels that charge and arm and leg but either have no staff or have decided it's not profitable to provide food service.

Horrific story about members of the LA fire and sheriff department allegedly taking photos of crash victims like Kobe Bryant and his daughter and showing them around. This apparently was a practice that came to light after the Kobe Bryant incident but happened in other prior circumstances. Some real sick individuals. Hopefully they will not only be sued but fired from their jobs.

I remember in October last year when this was first discovered...the idea of taking personal pictures of a dead celebrity...or anyone for that matter was beyond ghoulish to me...I cannot even fathom how I would react if someone did this to a deceased family member of mine...I'm not a litigious person...never sued anyone in my life...but this would break my streak for sure...I can see no reason for anyone to take personal photographs of the deceased except the crime investigator...or maybe the coroner...regardless of the trial outcome...these pictures will probably never find the Internet...as whoever posts them knows they will be next in line to be sued...this is not a "money grab"...Vanessa Bryant surely doesn't need the money...I read an article last week where a video tape surfaced of one of the first responders sharing his photo files with a bartender of the mangled bodies of the deceased...and both of them laughing about it...this is so macabre...it's almost inconceivable that it actually could happen...tragic incidents for families need to be put to rest...needing time to heal...nobody should have taken pictures and they should never appear on the Internet...

I served in a voluntary Rescue Squad back in the 1970's. They had official accident and murder scene photos for records and training. Some members had private photos, IMO they seemed too keen in sharing those photos.

Water hoses and/or electric cords that somehow get constantly tangled. It's unreal how they get in a mess. I wrestle with mine like Tarzan fought alligators. Thrashing and cursing them.

Teachers around the country going on strike just as schools are opening. They have been out for the entire summer and much of last year with COVID issues but now are going on strike at a critical time when kids are trying to get back to normal. Unreal.

Yes a lot of the teachers leadership have shown their true colors.
