I know Doug likes his horror movies, but I hate all those spooky movies leading up to Halloween.

October is my second favorite month, December is #1; horror movies on AMC and Sci Fi Channel, the real fall weather kicks in and college football ramps up.

I know what you mean. We missed autumn weather so much while living in Florida it was one of the reasons we moved. You only get one season there, hot and humid. Having the ac running on Christmas Day takes away some of the feeling.
Autumn is my favorite, Spring is second, and it mainly centers around my electric bill. Autumn and Spring are the two seasons I count on to try and catch up, money wise, after typically brutal heating bills in the winter and, especially, the really brutal AC bills that seem to kill me from late May through late September. I love to see the cooler temps of Fall and Spring and so does my checkbook. ^&grin -- AlSeptember used to be the month for me, but the past 12 or so years, it's still in the 70's and sometimes it hits 80 in September, the AC still running, I'm still wearing shorts and short sleeved shirts.
October is when the nice, crisp Fall weather kicks in, 60's with a slight chill in the air, long pants and a light jacket weather; that's what I woke up to yesterday and it felt great.
We play a little game here, the AC was shut off about 10 days ago, now we do the "Fall Heating Dance", ie, how long can we go with no heat, nothing worse than going from a high electric bill to a high gas bill, so we dance the dance and hold out as long as possible before the heat goes on.
Especially this Fall/Winter with the expected price of natural gas...............

My friends and I were able to see The Exorcist at a movie theater that did not care about your age. I think I was 12 at the time. It was a double feature with Phantasm. It was a long bus ride home after watching those two movies. The buses were a lot safer in Chicago in the 70s.
I have not watched it again and I have no plans to watch it again.
Brian
Eli and Peyton Manning. The gag was a bit funny at first but enough is enough with these guys. Overexposed. Also those endless commercials with Gronk. One of which is supposed to be funny because he is telling someone on the phone he served in the military to get their insurance discount. Isn't that considered fraud? That's the way this insurance company wants to promote itself?
Worse yet it has now lead to a LeBron James cast during the Thursday Night Football Amazon streaming crap product.
