Things that annoy me (6 Viewers)

The Lakers are 0-5 and in the cellar in the west after a disastrous season last year. LeBron should be focused on winning one game instead of promoting himself and his fake causes. Meanwhile the NBA is suspending and ending careers of players for political beliefs or allegations of personal conduct.

On a personal conduct note, the Spurs did the right thing, the accusation was backed up by an admission of guilt.

Sports and the world in general need more of that.

It concerns me that organizations like the NBA can decide what conduct is permissible and what is not. No doubt many of these players engage in questionable conduct but that is a law enforcement matter if the allegation is criminal in nature. If they investigate and do not bring charges, that should be the end of it. Even NBA players have the right to be presumed innocent. These players are also increasingly the target of grifters who make up allegations for financial settlements. Punishing players incentivizes false claims. And the Spurs are the most woke organization in the NBA with Greg Popovich. He is actually unhinged. I wouldn't trust him to tell me that the sky is blue. They are going to selectively enforce policies based upon political considerations.

The NHL has deemed a player ineligible based on a bullying incident when he was 14. Placing candy in a urinal. His career is basically over at 20. That's getting out of hand.

The holiday Season at work, if you're 50, 60 years old why are you asking me how to cook a Turkey or Ham??...the same way you've been cooking it the last 3 or 4 decades

Sammy....
aaaaaaaaah...so true...been asked that question myself more than once...

I don't think they have been cooking all those years or at the least, cooking badly. I'm amazed at the amount of people that can't cook or do basic chores. Just like getting married. You have all these expectations of what a married life would be like and its nowhere close to what it really is.

Overblown stories in the press that run continuously for some unknown reason like Ticketmaster being overwhelmed by demand for Taylor Swift tickets. Who cares? This seems like a great publicity gimmick to create more interest. I've seen this story on every major cable network and local news.

kind of trivial but....I'm getting older and more impatient...

I got behind this guy in the parking lot trying to leave the grocery store the other day...
I swear to God...
he slowed down to 2 miles per hour over every single speed bump...
must have been one every 50 feet...
I wanted to scream...
I could have walked faster than he was moving...

did I mention I'm getting older and more impatient?

Parking lot driving is unreal. It's where the overly cautious meet the overly aggressive. I particularly love the folks who don't use the lanes but drive diagonally across the parking lot narrowly avoiding collision after collision. Or the folks who have to back into the parking space. Or the folks who park their enormous truck at the end of the lane rendering it impossible to see around them when pulling out. Or the senior citizens who back out of a space in slow motion without bothering to see if anything or anyone is behind them.

ooooh yea...those short cut guys...hard to anticipate dodging them sometimes...they appear out of nowhere...

I especially hate those guys that lean on their horn in a traffic congested area...
causes every driver near them to instinctively go for the brake...not knowing who they are blowing at...

Nothing trivial about it, it's annoying as ****.

Coming back from the post office yesterday, I got behind this lady driving at the speed of the grand marshal of the Macy's day parade, she kept hitting her brakes over and over for nothing, went around a curve, hits the brakes, a truck is coming in the other direction, hits the brakes, a leaf blows across the street, hits the brakes, the local repair shop must love her, goes through brake pads like **** through a goose.

I think every one of these things happened to me at a strip mall earlier today, specifically literally as I'm pulling out, some clambrain parks his truck next to me, rendering it impossible to see who's coming, thank God for the back up camera, just slowly creep backward and see what it shows.

And some 210 year old lady almost ran me over as she backed out of a spot like a freighter pulling into a port, just kept going, I stopped, she kept going.................thanks Gammy.................

Howard Stern again. Has anyone ever gotten weirder than this guy? Maybe Howard Hughes. I saw the interview with Bruce Springsteen on HBO. Stern is freakish. I can't believe he is even still around. I remember listening to him in high school about four decades ago when he was funny. The times they are a changing as old Bob wrote (or autopenned).

Yeah covid terrified him. First time he went out in over 2 years to dinner. I think he spent more time in his basement then Biden.

Apple is apparently working with the Chinese government to suppress the ability to organize protestors. Disgraceful. They have no qualms about criticizing everyone else, but no corporation will criticize China.

"Apple has aided the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crackdown on dissent by placing restrictions on their AirDrop feature in China — which protesters have been using to share information to dodge censors while sending information to nearby citizens."

I've never trusted Apple, and don't use any of their products.

World Cup hype. Like the Olympics, the media breathlessly covers this event which has a very tepid following in the US. The US team embarrasses us with its silly woke nonsense before being beaten by teams from countries with 1/20th the population. The men's team is not as bad as our bizarre women's team with the silly politics, but they have to say the "right" things to keep their endorsement money. And never criticize China.

College football players who opt out of their bowl games. I can understand the selfish reason to avoid injury, but these guys get a free ride and now are even paid via NIL. Several Penn St. players have indicated that they won't play in the Rose Bowl game. Wow. If I'm an NFL scout and hear that, I'm down on drafting them. That's a player with no team pride. Playing in the Rose Bowl was once an honor for college players. Can't imagine passing on that game and letting my teammates down.
