Things that annoy me (1 Viewer)

Drones the size of buses are flying nonstop over New Jersey and no one in this administration has an answer as to what is going on.

Talk about out to lunch, it's beyond maddening.
Why is not the Air Force or Naval Air right on these. With the tech they have they should know. I don't think it's alien as I think they would pick someplace other than NJ to vacation at. 😁:ROFLMAO: (y)

Haven't seen no reports of the drones being seen down here in South Jersey. Nothing to see here folks.

Biden seems to be setting the stage to pardon everyone and his brother on the way out the door. Even those not charged with any crimes. I guess all that talk about having faith in our justice system only worked one way.

Toddy.
Aside from Libya, I've never been to the oil rich countries in the Middle East and North Africa since the places there that have interested me have been for because of their Roman ruins.
But can say, from my personal perspective, outside of the better hotels, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Syria and Jordan are to be polite and with regard to forum rules, dumps !
.....I guess being 'dumps' reflects why so many inhabitants from the region fee on mass hoping for a better future else where, but then bizarrely drag their historic/cultural grievances with them and then wonder why they're disliked.

I see many ex-pat Syrians have quickly announced their plans to head back to their homeland now Assad has been toppled.......:ROFLMAO:

The few who actually do leave will be replaced I expect by more fleeing Christian Syrians.

Yes, expect wherever you live that has taken in these masses of migrants to have on the more personal level for stabbings to increase along with acid attacks, these usually on women.

And more terrorist attacks, all always from the same people.
All these extra security measures such as barriers at Railway stations and armed police at Christmas markets have all been put in place since the mass influx from cultures who do not and do not want to integrate, but want us to step back a thousand years.

This enrichment of society they always go on about, but without actually ever saying how we benefit, all I see is how this country has gone downhill in the last twenty years.

Makes your head spin, when knowing the consequences they still do it.

Cancelled bids on ebay without explanation. I do not mind if someone changes their mind, emails me, then cancels. That said, had a recent buffoon cancel on a number of items, no explanation, well, he went on the blocked bidder list. That to me signals a potential issue which I do not need. Supposed to be fun, not so by bozos like that. It really screws up bidding on items. Oh, another problem - non paying bidders. Annoying to say the least, but as I subscribe to the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me - blocked bidder list they go.

Agreed, can't see many Syrian Christians surviving the coming purge, once the hardline Islamic fundamentalists are let loose on the Syrian population.

Which of course is all very predictable and part of the long term strategy to destabilase the region.

As we both know mass immigration of western countries, like the UK, Europe etc is deliberate and designed to destabilase those societies. A bit like the continuous attacks on gender (male/female) and the surge in wokeness currently sweeping the west.

The cancel culture is now rife, free speech is out the window, history is up for grabs and can be rewritten in a heart beat and then there's the race debate.

All of which is being openly supported and pushed by the main stream media and many of our so called leaders......

Making people stand in line to enter certain higher end stores. This creates the false impression that they are wildly popular.

Yeah that's a weird one, why would you bother..........Reminds me of the idiots who used to queue for hours to grab the least pair of Nike sports shoes......

I made a once in a decade visit to the King of Prussia mall in PA where they have a number of high-end stores. They have someone stationed at the door of many of the designer brands to make people line up and wait to enter. It apparently gives the impression that it is exclusive and that there is high demand. There were actually lines at several stores even though you could see that there was hardly anyone in the store. I guess it also might help to reduce shoplifting etc. but I've don't recall seeing this before.

While waiting in line at the local post office to mail pkgs the elderly lady in front of me pulled out her checkbook to pay for a purchase of stamps with a paper check. God help me. Must be tough to live in the past century. And yes I am of an impatient nature, ask my wife.

Not surprised Chris that the elderly lady wanted to pay by cheque for some stamps since they've gotten to be so expensive, you'd not feel safe carrying around the cash to buy half a dozen first class stamps nowadays ! ;)

Was thinking of the use of credit/debit cards.

Sorry Chris, I was trying to be funny, saying carrying around enough cash to buy stamps at todays prices would attract unwanted attention ! ;)

Congress proposing to give themselves a pay raise right after an election that was won in part on cutting back governmental spending. Of course, that is just a grain of sand on the beach in terms of the total spending but the symbolism is profound. It's unreal how out of touch these folks are. Political power is dependent on spending. So I'm not optimistic. The military and social programs make up something like 70% of the budget. A good chunk is to just pay the interest on the deficit. All of that is deemed untouchable. As a result, only a small of amount of the budget is even under consideration for cuts. Musk and Vivak are about to be taken to school on how the bureaucracy operates to protect itself.

California, and eleven other states and DC (of course) are banning the sale of ICE autos by 2035. One city council has already banned the construction of new gas stations or the addition of new pumps.

Media hype over a "government shutdown." The government doesn't really shutdown. Most of it continues to function. Even many of the non-essential agencies have funding to stay open for some period of time after the shutdown begins. It is a big nothing burger to anyone living outside the DC bubble. The media and establishment politicians, however, try to create the impression that there is a great disruption to rush through a bill with hundreds of billions in pork spending. Repeated endlessly no matter the results of any election.
