Things that I really like (3 Viewers)

…….I wonder how all those amazing so called celebrities are feeling today. You know the ones that stuck their necks out and backed the wrong house 😱🫨😂
None of them give a **** about the cost of groceries or how much it costs to heat/cool your home or fill up your gas tank, so they could care less, out of touch morons the lot of them.

Everyone has a right to vote for who they want to, that is our way. But I'll never understand how anybody could vote for that party after all they have done to make this a third world country. Harris is talking right now and it's probably one of her better speeches. Shame that they didn't follow what they're talking about now. I do think they were the worst administration in history.

The problem with this country is there are those who vote as staunch Republicans or Democrats, their party's policies might be terrible, their candidate awful, but they hold their nose and vote along party lines anyway.

I'm an Independent; I vote for who I think the BEST candidate is regardless of party lines, I lean left on some issues, right on some issues, in the middle on others, I'll never understand voting for a bad choice because you are a member of his or her party, makes less than zero sense.

It was my hope that we might be able to move forward and work toward compromise after the election.

Judging by the rhetoric 24 hours later that is not going to happen.

Republicans are going on and on how they have broken the spirit of the Democrats and their ideals.

Democrats, not to be out done, are saying that they will continue their fight rather than give-in to this president.

I'm with you George, I vote for the best option whoever that may be.
Got to admit as well as being pleased for America in having now a leader who will do his best for Americans, I'm a quite envious too, considering the grifters we have as a government now (or perhaps regime is a better way of conveying the contempt I feel for them) the lot in power, not that the last lot were any better.

I have some optimism that because Trump will not be running again in 2028 that he will try to do some things that most others would not. Like cutting the deficit, closing the border, and getting us out of endless wars. And there are some reasons for Dems to work with him instead of obstructing this time. Trump also now knows that the establishment Republicans are not to be trusted and that he needs to put his own people into leading roles. He has a two-year window to get things done before the midterms that will likely restore the Dems to the majority in the House. At that point another election cycle will be looming and it will be back to obstruction.

You know, the more I think about it, the more Chuck Schumer and Kamala may be right. Maybe it's time to "pack the "Supreme Court" and add four more justices! :ROFLMAO:

So are all the actors/actresses/musicians/talk show hosts/athletes who threatened to leave the country if Trump won going to keep their promise?

Gee, I really hope so.

Good riddance.

A Democrat who tells it like it is; “Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton told the Times. “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

Seth Moulton from this bluer than blue state, MA; his campaign manager resigned over the comment and he's facing backlash over what he said.

What's wrong with what he said?

Our wonderful governor has already come out and said she will not support Trump and his deportation plans...............fine, then don't, then this state won't get federal aid when we need it...............the wrecking ball governor of IL said the same thing "Anyone coming to this state to deport people will have to go through me first".......no problem fatso, through you it is.

You'd think they would learn from what cost them this election, but I guess not, then need to give up on this far left BS and come more towards the middle.

Interesting that Trump is going to receive almost the same number of votes as in 2020 when he lost. I'm not a conspiracy believer that the 2020 election was "stolen" but I do believe that changes in the election laws using COVID as a pretext allowed ballot harvesting that ran up the vote totals for Biden. But for that, Trump would have won in a similar landslide in 2020. Very few commenters are noting that about 15 million fewer votes were cast in this election than 2020.

Some interesting numbers;

The Democrats/Harris raised over one billion dollars; that's a BILLION with a B..........when it was all said and done, she's 20 million in the hole. They spent 20 million on concerts, that Elitist Oprah who's worth 3 billion charged 1 million to interview her.............what a humanitarian, charging Harris a million dollars to interview her.

That moronic sex podcast Harris went on; rather than fly to LA, she flew the host East and staged her podcast set........which cost 100,000.00.

With reckless spending like this, can you imagine what would have happened in this country handing her a blank check, mother of God.

Some eerie similarities with the disastrous Hillary Clinton campaign. Including pointless concerts to end it. Of all the bad decisions, choosing Walz over Shapiro has to rank up there. The TV ads are probably the most expensive and least effective way to influence voters. I saw a poll that suggested that almost everyone made their minds up months before this election. Almost none were influenced by the enormous spending on TV ads.

Getting a random letter in the mail informing me after careful review, I have been awarded a medal from the US Army for actions over 30 years ago.........................................

...................and in typical military/US Govt fashion, it is to be awarded sometime between August 2025 and September 2026 LMFAO

I guess the first line of this post could go under the "Things I love" thread and the second line could go under the "Things that annoy me" threads ha ha. It's a "2 for 1" sort of post.
Congratulations and Thank You

So true George but all the democrats seem to vote how their party wants them to, no matter what.

This election was historic, so many flips, NJ almost became a battleground state, 46% of Latinos voted for Trump, an all time high, he won parts of CA and this bluer than blue state, MA.

I truly think there are Democrats who think their party is too far to the left; I always considered Biden a centralist politician, something happened to him when he walked into the oval office.

And not for the better.

Hell of a week for James Carville; an electoral and NCAA football a** kicking, sucks to be him.

Adios LSU.

I am becoming more and more convinced that the officiating is just outright incompetent, or it is fixed. I reference 2 times this year now where it is hard to ignore Conference officials keeping their hopes alive with an undefeated team. First we had the Miami Virginia Tech fiasco early where a call clearly gave Miami the win when it should have been VA Tech. Last night, Utah clearly stopped BYU with a sack, yet somehow a defensive holding late flag came out of nowhere. Folks, there was no holding, it was a phantom call that kept BYU undefeated and the Big 12 conference alive. That is just wrong.
