IMO HB set the bar for quality in the hobby. Although the Tiger 1 was the gold edition the quality was no different to the standard releases and, the tiger 1 would have been no different had they released it as an open edition like the panthers et al.
I know its all down to the individual but, FL and Figarti do not come anywhere near these releases there was just something about HB stuff that was classy and spot on. I am the most picky person for accuracy and detail but, could not fault these models

If memory serves I think the base price was $350 which included one of the "stock" paint schemes. Figures and custom paint requests were additional as was shipping. i can't remember the final figure I paid for this one.
It was certainly worth every penny, no matter what it cost! The quality and level of detail is unmatched in 1/30th scale.

very true
Now this is an impressive collection of HB.:salute:: -- AlDitto. I was so enamored with the quality of Honor Bound that I got 2 GE Tigers, 2 GE Shermans with additional cost for crews and accessories (basic was $350) Non GE models made earlier are equally great and also far exceeds any other models in the market today. Bought 5 M4A1 76mm Sherman (Al Capone, Bonnie, Unnamed, Elowee and another unnamed camo version)... and not to forget the first AFV HB produced...Panthers 221, 223, & 224. They started the trend on detailed tracks!
These non GE version sold for $186 with all the accessories. I don't think we'll ever see those days again.

my understanding is when the gold edition tigers were being offered thier were seven different paint schemes being offered for the tiger i have seven gold edition tigers with each paint scheme two of the sturmtigers and two of the shermans all gold editions when i learn how to post a picture i will post them of all of the vehicles.Frank,
You have the best collection of Honourbound vehicles out there, bar none.
How about some more shots of your Sturmtiger (the only HB vehicle I don't have at least one version of)?
I totally agree that they are the best polystone vehicles produced in the hobby to date, and still stand up well (although in my opinion Figarti and John Jenkins have caught them in overall quality using mixed media, including resin and metal).
An incredible collection! Am looking forward to the pictures. -- Almy understanding when the gold editions were being offered thier was seven paint schemes available i have seven tigers with all the different paint two of the shermans one winter and one normany paint and two sturmtigers one winter one desert version all gold editions when i learn how to post pictures i will send to you guys they are my personal favorite.
