Tiger 211 2./s.SS.Pz.Abt.102 (1 Viewer)

my understanding when the gold editions were being offered thier was seven paint schemes available i have seven tigers with all the different paint two of the shermans one winter and one normany paint and two sturmtigers one winter one desert version all gold editions when i learn how to post pictures i will send to you guys they are my personal favorite.

Wow! {eek3} Sounds like you have even Frank beat!! ^&cool^&cool Can't wait to see the photos!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures as well.

While there may have been 7 standard paint schemes the beauty of the Gold series was you could request custom colors and patterns. I took advantage of this on 4 of my 5 Gold Series pieces.

Frank

That was my understanding of the Gold edition that it was the customer choice. The HB versions were for ideas not a restrictive number of what you could get.

HB have never been beaten even the standard versions surmount anything released for quality detail and price.

Had HB released the Tiger 1 it would have been the same quality as thats all they could do superb stuff.

Ditto. I was so enamored with the quality of Honor Bound that I got 2 GE Tigers, 2 GE Shermans with additional cost for crews and accessories (basic was $350) Non GE models made earlier are equally great and also far exceeds any other models in the market today. Bought 5 M4A1 76mm Sherman (Al Capone, Bonnie, Unnamed, Elowee and another unnamed camo version)... and not to forget the first AFV HB produced...Panthers 221, 223, & 224. They started the trend on detailed tracks!
These non GE version sold for $186 with all the accessories. I don't think we'll ever see those days again.

N-P

Again, the Tigers were great! Wished HB had the ability to reduce their cost per unit. I also have a Gold Edition Sherman but wished I ordered the Strumtiger.

John (toyking) via George Guerriero of Minuteman just send me photos of his HB collection. Pretty amazing is all I can say. Not only that but he's got some great Arnhem backlot buildings from K & C.

What can one say? Just stunning. So many fantastic HB models in one place. Salute! -- Al

When it comes to Honour Bound vehicles, toyking is THE king, doubtful anyone can come close to the numbers and variety he has............and I hooked him up with the buildings too............

Hands down the best of all the polystone (metal) tanks out there, I cannot understand how HB could make such beautiful tanks and still not be in the business of making them? sounds like there is still alot of buzz about thier armour about people wanting them(including me!) is there a chance that will ever happen? hope so, such wonderful vehicles/armour, hopefully they will come back at some point, even at a gold issue type...Sammy

kind of ends the myth thats on here of one sturmtiger HB gold. I told you guys there were more. I know of one in the UK so, thats four and there was supposed to be 11.

Very nice collection of Tigers by the way

Probably not going to happen, Sammy. Ana, at HB, has explained on several occasions that there is no way to produce the vehicles and be profitable with the economic situation the way it is in Argentina. It is a sad loss for everyone. Maybe someone with more intimate knowledge of the situation can explain better than me. -- Al

Al...

Exactly the reason. said many times before its a shame for sure

Sorry, I traded my last spare wood tiger for the Figarti Leopold K5 Railroad Gun. I only have one left, and I just can't part with it.

Nice orderly table of models - but I've told you before - that 2nd Tiger sticks out like a sore thumb {sm4}
