time to ride off into the sunset (1 Viewer)

Well guys, maybe not gonna ride off completely, after much weighing of different scenerios with my toy soldier hobby, I have decided to stick to just one and ONE manufacturer only, and still dabble into my sports hobby as well, this time gonna keep it "simple stupid" not over board, glad to have finally figured out a system that will work for me as well as my family, thanks again guys for all the kind words, another great reason to stay connected to my hobby, I have alot of great guys to chat with all the time, good to be home:):):) Sammy

That's great. There is no need to go overboard ( advice from someone who goes overboard  )

Hopefully you didn't sell pieces you now want to collect :)

Sammy,

From reading your posts it seems the key is moderation, if I may say so and hope you don't take this the wrong way. It doesn't matter what you are collecting, be it toy soldiers or something else, but, as in life, moderation is the key. You devoted a lot of time and money to build a collection, and now are selling it all (which, in my opinion, is an extreme reaction; you're going from one of the spectrum to the other). You are now getting involved with another company and I hope you do not make the same mistake so that in a few months time, we see a similar thread from you.

Best of luck.

Regards,

Sammy, Your thread was thought provoking....You recieved various views and opinions....Remember be true to your convictions and do not allow yourself to be manipulated by anyone.....keep your prioirties in order....Remember these things are "Just Toys"....material things that have little value and no "eternal value"......Seek "wisdom" and you WILL find it.....The Lord Bless you and your family.....

These are both wise words Sammy. Why not give yourself a time of reflection before selling off any of your items. Its possible you may regret it if you dispose of some of your collection that you have built up over time.I hope your new collection is K&C so we see you in this part of the forum, and they do offer a wide range of quality, realism, depth and value. However, whoever's stuff you collect good luck with it!

Guys, as my eyes misted up and lower lip started to quiver in sympathy :(for Sammy's PLIGHT, I made the mistake of checking out a FL thread. It seems Sammy is just going to stop slumming with us KC kind of guys and move over to the "gold standard" of collecting. Michael

No my fellow K&C friends, my heart will always be with K&C, and I will always continue to watch and be amazed at what's being released, as such my son will continue his K&C collection of civil war (of course I pay for it)...but I will be giving F.L. ago, I just can't afford 3-4 different manufacturers, please still love me:):):) Sammy

Well said Sammy. Will always be good to see you in this part of the forum. As you know K&C are unmatched for the range, quality and depth they offer the collector, still FL's Stalingrad range looks good.Enjoy!:)

I am on the edge of my seat here guys.
The drama the suspense are enough to rival Alfred Hitchcock.
I am not sure if I can handle this sort of emotional tension anymore.
Makes Desperate Housewives look tame.
Pass me a rum and coca cola.
