True Detective (2 Viewers)

I stuck with True Detective but it's not nearly as good as last year through no fault of the actors.Blink,Ballers,Masters of Sex,HUMANS,Halt and Catch Fire and Ray Donovan no go for me neither.Quit watching The Last Ship.Watch Falling Skies but glad this is the last year.Still watch The Strain but don't know how long.Do like Gunslingers on AHC and can't wait for the Walking Dead shows.

Same here on Walking Dead (and the new spinoff). I also am watching True Detective faithfully but also feel it nowhere near as well done as last season. I do watch Ray Donovan and like it but season 3 feels far different (and not as good, so far) as the first 2 seasons. -- Al

I don't know anyones name, I'm confused, I give up.

hahaha...you're slaying me...too funny!!!

same thing here...
I was so lost I just stared at the tv when it was on...

I'm sorry...
maybe I didn't make an effort...
maybe I didn't give it a chance...
from what I saw...
I think it was a huge let down from last years...
but I think we all kind of expected that...

The biggest mistake HBO made was calling it True Detective; they should have called it something else, just like FX is doing another Fargo, there is only one Fargo.

This thing was doomed from jump................

I watched the first 3 episodes of True Detective. Got about 10 minutes into episode 4 and finally said to myself, "why am I torturing me". Turned it off, never to return!
One of my all time favorite TV shows was Rescue Me with Denis Leary. Tried to watch his new show, Sex, Drugs & Rock N Roll. Lasted about 2 episodes and had enough.
Guess it's time to break out the DVD's and watch The Sopranos again. Can't go wrong with that.

Yeah Dennis Leary's new show didn't do nothing for me.I'm getting out of a lot of shows, some I've been watching for years but they are getting tired and most of the new shows aren't that interesting to me.I did like Wayward Pines.Still watch The Vikings,Black Sails,Hell On Wheels.Disappointed in Game of Thrones this year until the last 2-3 episodes.Looking forward to The Last Kingdom.

I like Hell on Wheels...

Bohannon and Thor Gunderson are gonna have it out one day...

also downloaded "Complications"...
all 10 episodes of Season 1 from the USA Channel...
off On Demand the other night...

Season 1 is actually completely over...
just ending a few weeks ago...
but I'm just now stumbling onto it...

crazy plot about a doctor...
that administers care to the son of an incarcerated gang leader...
who is wounded in a drive by...
and then shoots the occupants of the drive by car as they return to the scene to finish the child off...
and all the cover-ups that ensue...
an original plot at least...

pretty good so far...

My must watch list is Rectify, Salem, Walking Dead, American Horror Story and Black Sails. Rectify is so good when it's really working that it's more art or poetry than TV. The goat man episode was a classic.

you're a huge junkie of almost anything macabre...freaky...supernatural or monstrous aren't you?

surprised you are not a fan of Penny Dreadful...

Forgot about Penny Dreadful, like that too, watch Salem also,.Don't watch Rectify,my cousin does and he loves it.Have liked AHS less and less each year.Stopprd watching it at the midway point the last 2 years.

Just because I like shows about women with two heads, witches, *** pirates, and death row inmates leads you to that conclusion? :wink2: I tried to watch PD but didn't care for it.

Ballers is a show I've really gotten to like, contrary to what I said earlier. Think it's well acted and stories are good.

Brad...
agreed....
this show is appealing to me also...

even though we get the chance to monitor "real life athletes" with factual looks into their lives from the news...
and their struggles with handling their new found wealth and crazy personalities that grow from these new financial windfalls...
the inside looks this show gives are interesting...

but it makes me wonder....
how far have they embellished the crazy wild lives of these characters...
are real athletes really be this fragrant with their money?

Watched the last episode and got to say I was rather disappointed. Actually, it was all rather sadly predictable and I think rather the least imaginative way the writers could wrap it all up. Every turn in this episode was so obvious it's like the writers just threw in the towel and wanted to see how many cliches they could squeeze in before the fadeout. I won't give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet, but suffice it to say that I won't be watching any reruns of this season. I stuck with this season hoping that the finale would be worth the effort, and it wasn't. -- Al

Al:

I couldn't put it any better myself. Disappointed is an understatement.

The best part of the episode was the song from the closing credits.
