It's always great to see the flash of gloss in this thread. The close-up shots really highlight the detailed, colourful paint schemes that are Beau Geste's forte. Those are some fierce mustachios on the Albanians!

I agree, it is most enjoyable to see glossy sets show up here once in a while, compared to the many matte sets.
Good to know, that they are still going strong, and the Beau Geste figures sure are some of the premium items in the glossy field.
Thanks for the nice pictures of these great sets.
Konrad

Thanks Mike and Konrad. I too would like to see a better balance between matte and glossy here on the Forum.

This is an unboxed set from Mars Limited (no longer in business) that I got on eBay for my son. It is the U.S. Air Force Security Police in 1980. My son Keith, who is now 39-years old, served as a reservist with them from 1991 to 1999 at March AFB in Riverside, California.

Hi Chris,
that is quite a haul of beautiful LL sets.
Very, very nice and thanks for showing them on this thread.
Konrad

Thanks for posting your Little Legion figures, Chris. They are great looking.

Thanks Mike and Konrad. These are my first glossies and think I am hooked. :smile2: Chris

Welcome to the club, Chris. Glossies are absolutely charming. Lets see, would I rather have a shinny, glossy new car or a new car painted in dull, matte?

Here is another Beau Geste set that I bought. I love the unusual uniforms of the Albanians, although I must admit that I wasn't too fond of the real live Albanians I have known in person. This is set BG 235 Fusiliers, Albanian Regiment, 1808.

During the last week or so - I have been back to the UK - and was able to see some new castings that I had ordered - which were waiting for me. These will form part of my painting projects over the next year, but especially the winter months.

I have the following items - so far:

*The Dodge City Cowboy 12 piece Band - along with Mounted Hoppy and The Lone Ranger from White Tower Miniatures.

*A six-horse, French Napoleonic Horse Artillery Gun Team ( converted from original four advertised), from Nic of ATS.

*Army Air Corps 21 piece Band - and the Ivory Phaeton with both Queen Vic - and QEII - which can be added - all from RP World Models.

*Para and Irish Guards Mascots with handlers - from Langley. ( to add to existing Groups of both).

I also have further orders in currently from Yeoman and others - so looks like a busy time ahead for some new projects - coming later this year and into the next. johnnybach

I look forward to seeing these when they are finished jb

Gentle Friends,

After seeing so many beautiful glossy figures on the last couple pages of this thread, all I have to say is:

THREE CHEERS FOR THE GLOSSIES!!!!

They are incredibly beautiful figures. Thanks to all for posting photos of them!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)
