What Toy Soldier items Have You Acquired in The Last 2 Weeks ? (2 Viewers)

Rec'd a conversion set of Confederate artillery crew to Union by Ken Olsen. The perfect addition to my four gun battery. Very excited to have this set of figs. Chris

Mike,

What markings appear under the base?

I bought some figures that have "St George Cross" under the base.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

I have several sets, but I don't see any markings under the base. When I get some time, I will start a new Saint George's Cross thread with photos of these sets from World War I on the Eastern Front and White Russians from the Russian Civil War.

Joe, the base is custom made by Ken & Ericka Olsen of Hudson & Allen Studios. They have their own thread under the diorama accessories category on the Forum. Chris

All these beauts came to live here today...

The Royal Artillery Moutain Gun sets are most beautiful.

Great buys.

Konrad,

I will need to put some thought for a diorama setting that will do these sets justice. I need to capture the backdrop; it must be either the mountains of Afghanistan or the Khyber Pass.

Congrats on the nice find. Every so often fairly prices items do appear.

Last month I bought "play set toy soldier".I like its so much.It is cheap and very effective. It is quite simply, an instant collection of plastic figures and accessories, representing two sides in a conflict (such as the Civil War, Rome vs. Carthage or World War II).It offers a great way for kids to get started with toy soldiers. It includes best-quality toy soldiers and accessories that can’t generally be found in retail stores.

A wise choice.it may not be a good idea to have kids play with $35.00 a piece hand painted figures.

Received yesterday the new K&C LAH/Nazi Archway and some brown shirts.

It's looking very nice (sorry don't have a camera available at the moment).

And while looking at the design of the Archway I think a reduced Brandenburger Gate could be possible!
